I stayed in this hotel twice in 2007 and 2012.The hotel is near little India in Singapore, very near Mustafa and other restaurant catering to tastes of south India. The Rooms are very clean and spacious.there is no in house restaurant but need not bother because Chinese and Indian restaurant are near by. Metro station Farrer park is within walk able distance can be used to come from airport.

Room is neat and they clean them daily. We stayed for 7 days in August 2019. Even though it is near main road, no disturbance.
Excellent for Family stay. They provide tickets at discount rate for the activities like Universal Studio, Zoo, Botanical Garden etc..

The rooms are a bit small but that's standard for Singapore. Not a lot of extras, but you're not paying extra either -it's a clean and good option if you're looking just for a cheap and safe place to keep your bags and sleep while you spend most of your time out in the city.

The staff are very friendly and funny. The location is also fairly decent, you can easily walk to multiple metro stations and there's all the shopping and food of Little India.

We asked for a recommendation to eat and they directed us to a Chinese restaurant next door, which was passable but not amazing and more expensive than other places in the neighborhood - it seemed like they had an agreement to steer guests there. You're better off just wandering around yourself and picking somewhere, there are plenty of options.

Dear AsiaExpatIndonesia, Thank you for staying with us during your recent trip to Singapore. We understand from some of our guests that our rooms size are not up to their preference however we hope that our services rendered complement the minor adequacy. With regards to the restaurant, so far we have not tie down with any of them however we have checked with the staff involved, they have recommended the restaurant as it is to their taste preference. Nevertheless we have advised them not to recommend food as individual taste bud differs. We want to thank you for your constructive comments as it is only through them are we able to improve our services to our guests. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

I always find eating a budget hotel a little difficult. Because of what they are you have to remind yourself that you are not rating for fine in house restaurants, activities and high quality fittings and furnishings. The Tai Hoe is definitely in the budget range but within that market all in all, if you are primarily just looking for a bed not planning to spend much time in the hotel itself, the the Tai Hoe is fine. It has some very things going for it. A very good location on the edge of Little India and a large shopping mall and Farrer Park MRT diagonally opposite. The provision of a FREE mobile phone to use including international calls to a number of countries is a real big plus. No need to worry about data charges using google maps. The phone is designed so you will buy tickets to attractions which worked well for me. The room itself was adequate but again not a kings palace by any stretch. I found the overall cleanliness ok. On the down side the bathroom would be a pain for any more than the solo traveller. It is a small combined room with basin, shower and toilet. All ok as long as you time very well your toilet activity with your shower and basin use otherwise the toilet is soaking from the shower. I could imagine that for 2 or 3 in a room it would be very frustrating. The lack of a hot water tap in the room apart from the shower nozzle was also inconvenient. I have stayed in a number of other budget hotel for to compare the Tai Hoe against. All in all I would have given it three stars but have increased it by one because of the guest provision of the phone. For 1 to 3 nights for a solo traveller I am happy to recommend the hotel. For a couple of groups consider whether the bathroom would drive you crazy.

After booking months and months ago and requesting a room with a window and a double and one single I arrived to be chucked in a interior room next to the elevator with 3 singles. Bathroom had a mouldy roof . No jug to boil water. Hair on the bed. Let it slide first night. Second night at group turned up slamming doors and yelling and had tv and phones up loud until 330am and then started up at 5am again. Management did nothing when reported . Checked out that morning after no sleep. No refund. They didn't care.

Stayed for the first time at Tai Hoe and surely will come back again :) it's just beyond expectations according to its price. Arrived at 1PM and the room was ready so we can checked-in. Wifi was excellent, TV, AC, lamps all working well. The room was clean and met all minimal requirement. No wardrobe closet but we dont need it anyway since my last trip was quite a short one. It's only 1.5mnt to Ferrer Park MRT (gate H), 1 mnt to City Square Mall, 3-4 mnt to Mustafa Center. Not mention money changer and food. All nearby and on walkinh distance! In overall, very satisfied with Hotel Tai Hoe.

Its is a nice hotel with clean and tidy rooms . The check in is good.
We had booked this hotel through their website and so we were provided with wifi on one device and good indian morning breakfast.
the staff is co operative and polite.Given a budget hotel in singapore, everything was up to the mark.
The best thing about it is its location. It is bang opposite the ferrar park mrt.u get buses and taxis easily. Its in little india area,so veg and indian food is easily available and in a lot of variety.
Would recommend this hotel to friends for sure if they are looking at price effective accomodation in Singapore.

We had a good 2 night stay in Tai Hoe... Firstly, it is very near the Metro... You just go through City Square Mall from the Metro, & you will then be facing the hotel... There are lots of food places you can go to, including one that is just across the street which offers SG type foods that are very affordable & they are open early & til late... Other food options are in the mentioned mall... Staff are helpful as they offer other room options even if you have booked another room in advance... They offered the family room to us compared to the double that we booked after seeing that we were 3 adults & 2 kids... There is also a Baggage weighing scale in the hotel... The one negative is even if we were in a Family room, only 1 device can use wi-fi...

Our family booked 2 rooms and stayed for 5 nights at Tai Hoe. First Impression of the hotel was very good with friendly staff and clean rooms. Being a budget hotel you cannot ask for more and we were all very pleased with the hotel.

I must say that the handling the reservation was done with great professionalism and speed. I had no issues at all in getting any clarifications from the hotel staff. :-)

The location is "CENTRAL" with restaurants all over which made it very easy for us as we were traveling with kids as well.

I personally recommend this hotel for all families who would like a budget stay in Singapore!!!!

Dear Cedric, Thank you so much for your time in writing a review. We are truly glad that you recognise us as what we are, a budget hotel, but one which strives hard to provide service at a high level. I am glad you enjoyed the restaurants all around us. We will be delighted to serve you again should you come to Singapore.

If you plan to stay in this hotel beware, the rooms are not what the pictures on the web site shows. No cushions on bed, no bed cover or flowers or lamp on bed side. No pretty picture over bed head like you see on the web page. Room No. 604 and 606 which we stayed for 2 nights was not what they show. The washrooms is another rip off. The shower in room 606 was fixed above the commode. No shower space at all.

You got to walk down the passage in your PJ's to a hot water filter to get water for the cup of tea/coffee.

WiFi in the rooms is charged for.

The staff at reception were not friendly, and very surely had difficulty in smiling.
Location was good and convenient, close to Farrer Park MRT station so you could easily get to shopping locations

This sure is a BUDGET HOTEL REDEFINED
as the web page says.

Dear Indira Thank you for taking the time to write a review about us. The pictures of the rooms on the website are the actual pictures of our rooms. We are continuously upgrading the rooms and at the point of writing, most of the rooms have been fitted with bed runners and cushions. The space constraint has caused the architecture of the hotel to carve out some awkward layouts for the toilets of a couple of our rooms and this feature is not unique to our hotel but shared but many other budget hotels as well. Our wifi service is provided by an IT company that charges us for every card but we absorb the charges for bookings made on our website. Thank you again for the feedback and I will be sure to share it with our staff to spur them to greater performances.
