The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore is lauded for its cleanliness and spotless rooms, complemented by high-quality amenities, despite occasional sightings of houseflies. Guests have commended the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms with modern conveniences, though a few have pointed out maintenance and housekeeping issues.
While the hotel's amenities and services are recognized for their elegance and attentiveness, some guests feel the offerings do not justify the price. Nevertheless, the strategic location and the hotel's blend of contemporary luxury and heritage charm are highly praised.

Detailed Reviews
Last year, I spent seven weeks at another hotel near the Capitol Kempinski Hotel in a business trip. Every day, I passed this beautiful hotel and decided to stay here if I come back to Singapore. So once my parents and my brother selected SG as a travel destination, I just booked this hotel last July.
Since our arrival at the Capitol, we fell in love with their service! Their reception desk is private, which means there are private desks with two chairs for check-in for each individual customer. The staff of that specific desk guided our family to two rooms and explained the facilities inside the room. We chose rooms with a balcony, which accommodates the desk, chair and a stand light as well as a very beautiful closet with the Nespresso coffee machine, a basic set of four capsule coffees, assorted teas, and instant coffee. Their two types of coffee glasses are elegant. The complimentary water is provided in carton instead of plastic bottle.
Their breakfast restaurant on Level 1 is also very elegant and beautiful. While the types of food are that many, the quality of them are really high; you can even enjoy royal jelly, and egg tart and another petty piece of cake directly served by the restaurant.
The location of the hotel is also magnificent: across the street City Hall MRT station, and all core tourist attractions are walking distance or within a couple of stops away.
I would like to strongly recommend this exquisite place to those who look for quiet, elegant and well-served experience of accommodation:)

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. That said, some issues with the room and the housekeeping were experienced during the stay.
On checking into our room, we noticed that the room's electronic bidet was missing. We reported it to Guest Services, and had to wait for 2 hours to have the electronic bidet re-installed. Noting that electronic bidets are a standard fit for all rooms, the issue should have been rectified before the room was offered to guests.
Also, on checkin we were advised that our request of having the room cleaned by 1:30PM daily would be accommodated. Unfortunately, that was not the case for some days when we returned to the hotel after 1:30PM the room had not been cleaned.
On a much brighter note, buffet breakfasts at the hotel were the highlight of our stay. The food and the service were excellent. The buffet breakfasts offered a very wide spread of Western and Asian dishes, including an egg and noodle station. The restaurant staff were welcoming, efficient and attentive.

Dear anvaus, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay with us. I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed the buffet breakfasts and that our restaurant staff provided excellent service. Your positive comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team. I’m truly sorry for the issues you experienced with the room and housekeeping. It’s concerning to hear that the electronic bidet was missing upon your arrival and that the delay in its reinstallation impacted your comfort. We strive to ensure that all rooms are fully prepared and functional before guests check in, and it’s clear that we fell short in this instance. Additionally, I regret that our housekeeping service did not meet your expectations regarding the timing of room cleaning. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and I will address this with the team to ensure better adherence to guest requests in the future. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We are committed to improving our service and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a flawless experience on your next visit. Warm regards, Andras Biro General Manager The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore

My wife and I recently stayed 4 days at the Kempinski Singapore. What a lovely hotel. We have stayed at some remarkably good 5 star hotels around the globe and the Kempinski is certainly close to the top of that list.
Customer service was excellent however we must single out David for his more than impressive professionalism. His efforts to assist us was exceptional. The restaurant is quite elegant and the breakfast menu most substantial. Restaurant staff were very attentive.
Our room was kept immacualate by a very friendly and helpful staff member. The bed was very comfortable.
A lovely hotel, highly recommended.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel left a lot to be desired. Although there were also positive moments, the negative impressions predominated.
Firstly, the water in the room: this was served in tetrapaks, which I find inappropriate for a hotel of this category. In other premium hotels, water is often served in glass bottles, which I consider to be of a much higher quality and more environmentally friendly. In addition, some of the water from the Tetrapaks tasted of plastic, which further worsened the impression.
The service and cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. Empty cans were left on the tables outside the conference rooms for hours without anyone taking care of them. Another example: when the receptionist showed us to the room, there was a towel on the floor in the hallway. Although he had to step over it, he paid no attention to it. When we left the room again later, it was still there. Although I didn't point this out to the staff directly, I expect a hotel of this category to notice and rectify such things themselves.
There was no welcome drink at check-in, which should be standard for a hotel of this category and for me as a Titanium member. There were also shortcomings in the room itself, such as dirty windows and a drain in the shower that gave off an unpleasant smell.
Another disappointing point was the lounge. The selection was quite poor, especially for vegetarians. There were hardly any hot vegetarian dishes, although the staff kindly prepared something on request. Nevertheless, such a selection should be a matter of course in a premium hotel from the outset. The selection of salads was also limited and there were no mocktails. In addition, access to the lounge for suite guests was limited to just two hours a day, which didn't make the stay any more relaxing. In most other hotels, suite guests have complimentary access to drinks and snacks throughout the day. To make matters worse, the restaurant voucher was not valid in the lounge, which further detracted from the benefit of the offer.
I would like to mention that I have only ever been a guest at the Kempinski in Bangkok, which is worlds ahead of the Kempinski Singapore in terms of service and quality.
However, I would like to emphasize that the staff were always friendly. So the direct service in dealing with me was not bad. I would like to make a particularly positive mention of the employee in front of the hotel, who was always very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to him!
Overall, there are still many areas here that should be improved in order to bring the hotel up to the level of other premium hotels.

Dear nhh82, Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback regarding your stay. I sincerely apologize that we did not meet your expectations, especially as a valued Titanium member. Your experience is far from the high standards we strive to maintain at Kempinski, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to highlight the areas where we fell short. Your concerns about the water quality, cleanliness, and service are very important to us. I will be addressing the issues you mentioned with the team, particularly the cleanliness standards in public areas and attention to detail during service. These matters will be reviewed with urgency to prevent future occurrences. Regarding the lounge experience, I regret that the selection did not meet your needs, particularly for vegetarian options, and that the access limitations affected your stay. We will revisit our offerings to ensure they cater more appropriately to our guests’ preferences, and I'll discuss the matter with our F&B team to enhance both variety and quality. Furthermore, I apologize for the oversight of not providing a welcome drink at check-in, something that should indeed be a standard. I'm grateful for your kind recognition of our team’s friendliness and the service from our colleague at the entrance. Your compliments will certainly be passed on to him. We appreciate your comparison with our property in Bangkok, and we'll be using your feedback as a basis for making the necessary improvements at our hotel. I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with the true Kempinski experience you deserve. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. Warm regards, Andras Biro General Manager The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore

We had high expectations after paying a considerable amount for two deluxe rooms for our family. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and on arrival to our room we were given a card and cake (which was very nice) but that was one of the few positives of the stay.
Our kids were given a more spacious room, ours had tv on the side and you had to pull it out which made walking past it a nightmare. The socket for the kettle wasn’t working so we had to call maintenance literally 10 mins after we arrived too.
The next day we told reception we wanted to see if we could change rooms and were given another room which was probably very similar but tv was opposite the bed on the wall but with one sink rather than the two our other bedroom had. Ignore this and thought things will get better but at breakfast we were put in a room on our own as the restaurant was full. For the entire duration no one came to check on us to see if we needed anything and no sugar etc left on the table so couldn’t even enjoy my coffee.
Second day at breakfast they put us in the kids area with lower tables (my kids are in their teens and we paid for 4 adults in the booking), so we mentioned straight away that we would like a normal table and told we would have to wait 15-20 mins which we agreed too. Meanwhile new guests are coming and being seated at available tables once cleared. I took a walk after 5 mins and saw an empty clean table and asked a member of staff if i can move and eventually after complaining that we were left seated and ignored they moved me - I should’nt have to find my own table and walk around, unbelievably poor service from breakfast staff. The waiter didn’t know what a white coffee was and said they don’t have white coffee too!
Then after going up we see a large cockroach in the hallway on the 3rd floor! (Pics attached).
Lastly, we booked a room (no bed) to get changed in on the day of checkout as we had a night flight at 8pm until 9pm 24 hours befpre we were leaving. We arrived back at hotel at 8.30pm and they said it wasn’t ready and they were preparing it. We waited and had to ask several times until finally at 8.50pm they let us go and change and freshen up in this room. Very poor when this was prebooked and ok their system - we rushed to get ready and leave for the airport.
Having stayed at many 5 star establishments, I can truly say this is probably 3 star at best and even worse for service.
No tour desk at the hotel that we were told about, the welcome was very poor (although we were offered drinks), no pools timings, restaurants details etc given. I asked about any membership benefits asvtheir were signs up anc told no we don’t get any discounts and they don’t do any tours. Basically, they don’t like talking to guests and that was evident in a number of staff!
Avoid!!! For what you pay there are much better hotels in Singapore!

After having done 10 staycations at 10 hotels, all 5 star, this is the second review I'm writing. My first review was written because it was positive. This review is to warn others not to pay extra to book a heritage room.
I was upgraded to a heritage room from the deluxe room I had booked. I couldn't get a downgrade to my original room when I asked for it. This is the first time I've wanted a downgrade.
The heritage room comes with a balcony. The bad thing is the writing desk is outside in the balcony and subject to the elements so it can be hotter and dustier. What is even more ridiculous is that the hairdryer was placed in a drawer of the writing table.
The mini bar and coffee and tea were also outside in the balcony area. There was poor lighting so it was difficult to see to operate the machine.
I was celebrating my birthday so the hotel very kindly gave a complimentary cake, nuts and dried fruits as well as a basket of fruits. The cake was good. As there was no place to eat the cake, my friend and I had to take it outside to the balcony to eat. We had to try and locate the light switch which was under the table and difficult to reach. I had to use a hanger to turn on the switch. My friend commented on the dustiness of the table.
The bathrobe was so long that it trailed on the floor. I am short, about 1.57m, but this is the only hotel I've been to where the bathrobe is so long that it trails on the floor. And it is the only hotel where the bedroom slippers are placed in the pocket of the bathrobe.
Amenities are minimal compared to other hotels I've been to. Usually there would be a set of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel at both the shower area and the bathtub area but in this hotel there was only one set at the shower area. So if I had wanted to take a bath in the bathtub I would have to move over the items to the bathtub.
Service was generally very good, especially the person who did the turndown service.
Taking into consideration all this at this price point of almost SGD600, I would not recommend this hotel.

Dear 508selenec, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. I truly value your input and appreciate your candid thoughts on your stay. While I’m pleased to hear that you found our service, particularly the turndown service, to be very good, I’m genuinely sorry that the Heritage Room did not meet your expectations. Your experience is not reflective of the standard we strive to provide, especially for such a significant occasion as your birthday. We understand the importance of comfort and convenience, and I apologize that the layout of the Heritage Room presented challenges for you. The general manager personally looked after us, as did the front desk/housekeeping manager. Their great, generous hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Breakfast alone is an experience every day. In addition to its central location, the hotel impresses with its understated luxury and attention to detail. For example, the bathrobes are not only extremely fluffy but also lavish in cut and are great for my 191 cm height.

For the price it is not quite there, but many possitives.
On arrival check in registrastration took 20 plus minutes. Got a free upgrade to delluxe herritage room. Lobby corridors pool and gym quite small, especially corridors suffer since all corners have marks from housekeeping wagons, carpet on corridors look worn. Its a very long walk from lift to room. Same story when you arrive on 4th floor and wish to bisit pool or spa same long walk. Pool have a couple of tiles missing so sharp edges this need attention. Pool area very cramped.
Room have huge bathroom section and to small bedroom section in our opinion. Missing light forshaving etc to dark. Pillows were not soft, would be nice to have a pillow menu. Turn down service inconsistant. Could hear upstairs room each morning walking around take shower etc. Mini bar not filled automatically. Now all the possitive things.
Toilet had heating and wash and dry that is class, bed very comfortable wifi never signed us out fir full 3 days just on as soon we enter hotel. Lobby was nicely done and decorated. All staff very attentive and looked relaxed, so many times I have visited Singapore and staff are running around looking under preasure. Breakfast restaurant stylish plenty of space between tables and a fine selection to choose from.

My wife and I had the most amazing wedding experience at this hotel on 25th Feb 2023. The wedding lunch was held at The Atelier for 60 pax, and everything from the gate crash, solemnisation, and tea ceremony was held at the Stamford building. The hotel provided the tea and teapots and cups for the tea ceremony, which was a relief for us as we didn't have to bring our own.
The bridal suite (Stamford Suite) was exceptionally beautiful and spacious, with enough room for the entourage to do the gate crash there. The day-use room provided was also an actual hotel room, which allowed the entourage to rest and shower there. The breakfast spread was amazing and included local delights like nasi lemak and laksa, as well as drinks like champagne and freshly squeezed fruit juices. The best part was that the breakfast was sent to the bridal suite as my wife didn't have time to go to the restaurant for breakfast during the make-up.
The service crew was very professional and on the ball, advising and assisting us throughout the event. We were also very grateful to have a personal butler following us throughout the event, offering water and helping with my wife's gown. The banquet dishes were sent to the bridal suite after the event (we didn't have time to eat), and they were placed in a food trolley to keep the food warm, which was a very thoughtful touch!
We want to extend a special thank you to Attahyah for helping to coordinate the vendors during the planning phase, Taj and Lewis for providing advice and assistance during the day (Taj went above and beyond to source a steam iron for the bride's gown; Lewis managed to get us a nice Mont Blanc pen for the signing of marriage certs), and Charlie for being there for us and assisting with everything.
We highly recommend the Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore for couples wishing to do a small, intimate wedding of 60 to 80 persons. The actual wedding setup of The Atelier is much nicer than the photos seen online, and the service provided was exceptional.

We were a party of three and stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. We originally booked a Grand Deluxe Room but upgraded to an Executive Suite.
The hotel is centrally located, with easy access to the MRT (metro) and buses, and within walking distance from several attractions and several malls, with good dining possibilities (e.g. at Chijmes area) .
Communication with the reservation team before arrival was pleasant and efficient, with the same impression upon arrival (special thanks to Ms. Monteiro). Service at the reception and room keeping was very good throughout our stay, with one notable exception: Someone decided to skip room maintenance on our last day of stay. Admittedly, we left at 21:00 for a night flight. However, we did pay for the entire 24 hours.
The common areas, including the breakfast hall, reception and corridors, were very pretty and clean. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, including non-alcoholic drinks replenished daily. Comfortable beds and very good bathroom.
We found three issues to be less satisfactory:
1. Breakfast. Products were very good and there was plenty of choice, though we would have liked to have some cut vegetables in addition to the salads. The yoghurt marked as plain yoghurt was in fact peach yoghurt, an error that was corrected only on the last day of our stay. More problematic was the fact that many of the trays, such as cheeses and fruit, were half empty or empty when we arrived to eat after 09:00. Service was mostly good, but occasionally requests ended up being forgotten or incorrectly delivered, particularly when there were more guests dining. We do wish to thank Tracy for good and friendly service.
2. Noise. Prior to survival we were asked to choose between a room facing the street vs. one facing the courtyard. We assumed that the latter was the quiet option, but the opposite was true. The courtyard is home to several restaurants and considerable noise comes from this side. This usually ended at a reasonable hour and was much reduced by closing the doors between the bedroom and the working room, the latter facing the courtyard. However, the noise remained considerable at the foyer, where the 3rd bed was located, and during the weekend noise remained a problem well after midnight.
3. Temperature: Blankets were too thick for us considering the relatively weak A/C in the main room. The foyer was cooler.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and the Kempinski is a high-quality hotel. Nevertheless, one expects more consistent performance from a hotel of this class.

As its not a very tall hotel. Not much of a view even when you are face As the street. So just go with whatever given. U might like it treat it as a suprise.
We stayed for only 4 nights so we didn't have a chance to need laundry.
There is however, 2 malls connected or a short walk from the hotel. I'm not sure but there maybe a laundry shop in the basement area of the mall.
I was not aware of them doing so but I would contact them direct to be sure.
I have been to Yotel, it has a robot moving around.
