Another lovely stay at OCC - The huge rooms, selection of activities and proximity to the wildlife parks are just some of the reasons I keep coming back. The rooms are just about the largest I can find, and 3 to 5 swimming pools means something for everyone! There's plenty of restaurants onsite and I love the ample greenery..
Booked the family room for a 2 nights staycation. Room is located on level 1, come with 1 queen sized bed & 2 single beds. Generally the room is clean & well maintained. Room comes with an open balcony fronting the practice greens. Was afraid that there will be insects in the room since it’s a golf course that we are in, but to my surprise there were no insects at all. The only TV channels are MediaCorp channels. There were no cable TV channels. Parking is at the open air carpark. Hotel guest are not allowed to park at the sheltered carpark. Hence your car can be very hot in the day. Facilities wise, there were a couple of pools that can be used, including the fun pool that came with a water slide. My kids were enjoying it. Apart from the swimming pool, there are also bowling & golf driving range. But no discounts for hotel guest. If there are discounts, it will be great. Food wise, eating at the resort is not cheap even though there is a 10% discount when you show your hotel room card. But even the cheapest sitdown meal for 4 at the Golf clubhouse cafe cost $60! I would suggest to go out and eat at the nearby malls or Yishun Park Hawker Centre. Overall the stay have been positive.…
I love going to Orchid Country Club for their large rooms, access to 4 swimming pools and all the club facilities like restaurants. The staff are friendly although the Room Service options and food quality could improve (I mostly prefer from out when I stay there). Great place if you have kids especially given the facilities so I would recommend workout hesitation
We were lucky to successfully book a room a week before the long holiday weekend with the option for the family room left - which was fine because we were a family of 3! The room was spacious by Singapore standards and the view from our ground floor room was refreshing. It overlooked a small fish pond and the golf course / reservoir in the back. My only gripe was the musky smell of the room and I was a bit turned off with the dust build up in the aircon vents - which can't possibly be healthy for breathing in in the long run. But that aside, the rooms were comfortable albeit a bit dated with a blue carpet that is probably from the 80s. The facilities were great too - we loved the bunker pool and were so happy to finally go bowling as a family. Although guests are allowed to using the club's pool (the fun pool and Olympic size pool) the hours for use were very limited on weekends due to classes and preference for members. Unfortunately, the times the hotel guests could use it (1-3pm, 730 - 9 pm) were the times my young daughter would be napping and then again eating dinner or getting ready for bed so we unfortunately never got a chance to try it out. All-in-all -a wonderful experience that made us feel we weren't in Singapore but on a holiday somewhere else.…
It was a pleasant experience. Just a small feedback , the frontline staff can be more friendly . I found they are bit unfriendly and strict , specially there was a Chinese lady in the front desk when we checked in on 1st of May 2021. She was not friendly at all and never smiled ! But the overall experience was good. The family room was awesome . Just the lights are very less inside the room and can change to white light instead of yellow lights. Thanks.
The room is quite spacious and relaxing for a staycation. It’s a great location for Yishun residents who want a quiet place for work and spending quality time with their family and friends. Do enjoy...
Our room for our long stay at OCC was spacious and clean with amenities like bunker pool, olympic pool, frequent shuttle bus services and a friendly front desk and jovial housekeeping crew. When we had to check-out and check-in in between our stay, Veran very kindly helped us to take good care of some of our important items that were difficult for us to bring along and made our move back at the same room at OCC, a seamless and pleasant experience. Thank you to everyone at OCC for making this stay such a great one!
We paid a decent amount to stay a night plus extra 4 hours. More than $400SGD. Room is big and spacious. Balcony is okay with a decent view, until the insects and lizards start coming out. This is not my first time staying here, previously when they had NTUC in compound I had to stay here for 10 Days(renovation). With the NTUC it was very convenient as I was with my children. This time was just a Night stay. For the amount charged, if we had stayed in hotels in town the cleanliness will be in a tip top condition. Here the glasses, the cutleries, the bedsheet and the worst of all the toilet (floor, handle, bowl, sink, shower area) was disgusting... Customer service was not very good too. A little smile on the counter staff might be nice. Just 2-3 hours before we checked out, while still in the rooms, We asked for extra bottles of water(2), as there was no more NTUC now, we were told to pay. Then when I called at 9am to ask for an extension, initially was told that the room was to be occupied by another guest so cannot extend but if we really need then we have to pay $15++ /hour. Then I wondered what happened to the guest.. I eventually still paid for the extra 4 hours. (Not that we wanted to but my house was going through a day renovation). Then there is the price itself. Usually if we book from the hotels directly they will suggest or offer best rates possible but weirdly they had the most expensive rate which I only later realised compared to 3rd party companies. I hope some nice gestures with some good customer service will keep guests coming back. This will be my last one here.…
Nice hotel. Rooms are very spacious, clean and in very good condition. View of the golf course and bay. Great for a short stay in a quiet setting and perfect for our one night stays during our walks around the island. Have all one needs for that.
The hotel is in good condition, the rooms are spacious (family room) with an outdoor patio area, and the bathrooms are nice. There's 3 pools, a kids playground and a bowling alley - unfortunately run by staff trying to make a quick buck and no concept of service - so it is good for family time. But that's about it. The food is terrible, fluorescent ham in sandwiches, fries are cooked in oil so old you can taste it. I tried the Asian fare thinking it may be better but it wasn't. And that's the place where you go for breakfast... Last but not least, poor value. At $300/night for a hotel in Seletar (!!), breakfast not even included, this is terrible value. At half the price, I may consider coming again for the kids, as long as we can have takeaway food !!
