This spot is a gem. The hotel is not five-star and the rooms are smallish, but the location is simply brilliant. If you want to taste and explore traditional Singapore, this is the place for you. Easy access to the MRT at Tiong Bahru or Outram Park. The local hawker market is across the road, or you can dine in one of a dozen nearby coffee shops and restaurants. The management and staff were really helpful (for a small boutique hotel). I will definitely stay here again.
I stayed at the Hotel Nostalgia for six nights in February 2022. Really friendly staff. My room was upgraded so the size was fine & very comfortable. Nice & quiet with blackout curtains. I used pool via a booking slot due to Covid & it was nice & clean. Location is great near a big market, lots of cafes & restaurants. Quick bus ride to Tiong Bahru Plaza.
I grew up in Singapore as a teenager and Tiong Bahru was always our family’s go to for food!! Stumbling upon the Nostalgia Hotel and spending a week in their wonderful space and kind hospitality was awesome. The room was clean and tidy. The blackout blinds were very welcomed too! Thank you for your kindest and friendship during my stay.
If you want to pay a reasonable price, look no further. This hotel had it all, comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff and a swimming pool to cool off. There is the Tiong Bahru Hawker centre, a food court across the road which offers traditional Singaporean food, a cafe next door and a wonderful mix of restaurants within walking distance. We hope to return and bring family soon.
Excellence Customer Service for Ms Medelyn from Front Office coordination with her Reservation Manager Ms Zubaidah for assisting me on the amendment on the booking date that was wrongly made due to system glitch. If not of the both I will be charged for 2 days & 1 night stay. Kudos to both Ms Medelyn & Reservation Manager Ms Zubaidah for their swift response. Not forgetting Ms Toni, Ms Marielle , Mr Zul , Mr Perry , Ms Mas & Mr Jeff for their great service rendered.
We stayed at Nostalgia Hotel because of the high ratings, but it was really disappointing. The hotel was old, the room was small and directly above an alley full of smokers and rubbish dump. Sometimes smoke and stench wafted in through the closed window. Location was good and just a few minutes away from Tiong bahru market.
Certainly a great stay at Nostalgia Hotel! 5 star experience with Toni,Mariel and Perry - these guys just went extra mile, Excellent service! Love how humble and sincere the facilities are, the people and its services. Will comeback here for staycation regularly :)
Very clean and friendly. Rooms are on the small side, but if you are looking for a more authentic Singapore than the glitzier establishments, this is the place for you. Local Hawker centre a few metres away is delicious along with higher end 'hideaways'. Nostalgia has a nice patio with cold beer and yummy pizza.
I had a great 4 night stay at the Nostalgia Hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly considering the circumstances of staying (waiting for my flight arrangements to Vietnam, printing important documents, extending nights at last minute). It provides the usual toiletries as well as coffee and tea and a mini fridge. Wifi worked well. Location was superb. Easy access to bus stop to go anywhere, couple of MRT stations at walkable distance. Nearby the hotel, not even a block from the hotel there are plenty of nice eateries bars and restaurants (and the Tiang Baruh Market). Although on the small size, my two young sons enjoyed the swimming pool. Last, the hotel follows strict safety rules in regards to current COVID-19 situation: temperature check, hands sanitiser/alcohol rubbing, SGSafety check ins and outs through the app, etc.…
Charming hotel with a lot of character. Cool decor. Friendly and attentive staff. Would stay here again. Hotel is set in the Tiong Bahru locality with many interesting shops and eateries. Tiong Bahru Market is a short stroll away.
