with nice expection to stay in singapore and kind of disappointment with hotel, front office and housekeeping couldn't speak in english well. food price is expensive, room rate is expensive and very small. the swimming pool is too small to swim. one good point is location for eating out. a Japanese restaurant in the opposite hotel is cheap and delicious.
Having stayed in Singapore previously a number of times, we were looking for somewhere primarily on the basis of good value. Unfortunately the Nostalgia Hotel failed. Having been completed recently, the fit out was found to be very pleasant, staff were attentive at all times and the pool/free wifi was a bonus. The drawback lay with the size of the rooms. We could not pass each other anywhere in the room with only standing room for one. This was the smallest hotel room we had ever stayed in (even by Tokyo standards). When requesting a change in room, we were advised the hotel was fully booked (clearly not true).
