The price is reasonable, but not well maintained, in terms of cleanliness. They have what you need, but that can be improved. Other than that, location is good. There are good restaurants and it's very quiet at night.

My little brother and i stayed in for 3D2N, room is surprisingly small but well maintained. Otherwise not much too say about it except that it was about 20 mn walking distance from the mrt. Thats the only downside. Otherwise, nice room

Decent budget hotel in a good location. Superior rooms are better (comes with windows) - you get what you pay for, rooms are very small but in my experience they were clean and beds very comfy. Lots of food options at the doorstep and only a $16 taxi ride (15 mins away) from airport. Guy at the front desk very... More

Decent budget hotel. No breakfast. Even for one person should book twin room. Single bed room is too too small. Location is very good, close to East coast beach and lot of food courts. Service is decent. U get what you pay for. Shouldn't go with big luggage.

it was small room and without window, but very nice.. It cleaned everyday, has a hot water and wifi. The receptionist also really polite and helpful. We also met the cleaning guy which is very nice and polite as well. Below the hotel, there is a little hawker centre, bus stops, and minimarket which is great. Overall, we love our... More

The room is very small. But nothing big can be expected for the amount paid and anyway rooms in Singapore are small. Our room was clean. It had all the basic amenities expected in a room. But found it very hard to move around the with the luggage we had. It didn't have a window. Heard some rooms are having... More

Before u make any judgments on my review, please read my reviews of other hotels. For this hotel I will only one thing.....the guy at the front desk (I think he is the owner/manager) thinks the hotel is doing u a BIG favor by letting u stay. The rooms are small.....a single person with a medium sized suitcase cannot enter... More

Affordable, compact and decent for the price. I have a room without windows but the dormer in the bathroom is good enough as there are ample sunlight in the day. Malls(Parkway Parade, I12 Katong nearby by local bus or walk(20mins or more), famous food(Prawn noodles) within 5 mins walk. Airport is also nearby and you can get bottled drinks at... More

This is a budget hotel with a bit of style. I booked a single room, at a low price. It's a very small single. Combination shower gel / shampoo dispenser, in the shower. The air con struggled to cool the room. Free WiFi, although a bit slow. The East Coast Road area seems nice, with several restaurant options. Only S$18... More

Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighbourhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighbourhood is packed with colourful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
