Capri by Fraser China Square Singapore garners a mix of opinions. Many guests commend its prime location near Chinatown and local attractions, and the clean, modern atmosphere is often praised. While some travelers find the rooms and their kitchenettes to be smaller than anticipated, the overall tidiness and maintenance are consistently recognized.
The hotel's staff is frequently lauded for their professionalism, although there are occasional remarks about service delays. The rooftop pool is a standout amenity, yet some guests feel that the hotel could offer more for the price.

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I stayed 4 nights at this hotel on business during the past week and we enjoyed a really good experience. It represents very good value and it's location was ideal.
We were able to walk to many of our meetings/events; conveniently located near Metro stations (which we used multiple times including going to the airport during a really busy time as the city was experiencing many road closures due to the Formula 1 race); and loved staying on the edge of Chinatown where we enjoyed multiple meals.
The property overall is in very good shape and our deluxe room was very good size, quiet, well maintained and serviced and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a nice variety of food options. Each day we enjoyed a swim in the very nice rooftop pool and while we didn't use the gym, it overlooks the pool and looked well equiped and in very good condition.
The staff were all very nice and accommodating but happy to give shout outs in particular to Hong of the maintenance staff who was great in resolving a slow draining bathroom sink and Seger and Fadhli of the concierge desk.
Overall, a really good property that represents excellent value in a city that can be very expensive and we would happily stay here on future visits to Singapore.

We stayed for five nights in December, booking two rooms for our family of three adults and two children (aged 4 and 1). It was our first time to Singapore, and we are so glad we stayed at the Capri.
The location is fantastic, and less than a ten minute walk to two great hawker centers (Lau Pa Sat and Maxwell Food Centre), as well as Chinatown Food Street. It is also centrally located and near the many other parts of Singapore, including Sentosa Island, Marina Bay, Little India, and Orchard Street. These were all ten minute taxi rides, and probably walkable if we didn't have the little ones.
The pool was also great. The first few days our little ones were pretty jet lagged, but we would wait until first light and take the kids for sunrise swimming at the rooftop pool. They also offer washer and dryers, which were very clean and extremely convenient for us, as our overall stay in Asia was two weeks.
What we really loved about the hotel was the staff and the Den. We upgraded both rooms to Executive in order to have access to the Den, and it was a wonderful place for our family to relax in the afternoons (as opposed to resting in the rooms). There was plenty of space, games, free drinks and snacks, and in the afternoon there was wine and beer provided, along with hot canapes. The staff member in charge, Zain, could not have been more hospitable and friendly to us as well as our local family who spent time with us at the hotel.
We loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Definitely where I will stay when I return to Singapore!

New hotel conveniently located in Chinatown. Easy access to MRT stations such as Chinatown, Raffles or Telok Ayer depending on which line you want to use. Plenty of cheap food options at hawker centres nearby - walking distance to Maxwell centre, Lau Pa Sat and People’s Park Complex just to name a few.
Rooms are clean and have all the essentials. Nice pool on the rooftop, only downside is there never seemed to be any clean towels and there is no pool bar.
There is a laundry with washers and dryers however at $15 per load it was a bit steep.
We paid extra for an executive room to access the lounge known as “The Den” but it really didn’t have much to offer compared to other executive lounges so I wouldn’t bother with that again. One complimentary wine per night and some “canapés” and soft drinks.
Staff in “The Den” were friendly and made the effort to have a chat, however unfortunately the same could not be said for other staff at the pool or check in counters.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights en route New Zealand to U.K. The concierges and check in staff were pleasant, the room was very comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, the swimming pool on the roof was clean and ideal for relaxing with views over the city. The bed was made up and room cleaned to perfection. Harry’s bar/restaurant is a few steps from the front door, as a hotel resident you qualify for a 15% discount. Did not eat in hotel restaurant. Other cafe type eateries in office block across the courtyard.
The rooms have a kitchenette with 2 ring electric hob - ideal for a very simple meal. We had our breakfast in the room - there are plenty of 7/11 shops and a couple of local bakeries where you can buy food.
Chinatown is about a 5/10 minute walk with very many eating establishments. Downtown is about a 15 minute walk. The nearest MRT station is about a 10 minute walk.
The pool area only has 6 loungers (but other seats also).
We would certainly stay again.

My stay was very comfortable at Capri by Fraser, China Square. The Capri team were always very helpful. The hotel is new the design and layout of the room is really nice.
My room was not carpeted.... so the floor can get chilly with the air-conditioned for 21 nights. I would call and ask for hotel slippers. Or bring your own comfy ones.
In such times like what we are all going thru now, because of the pandemic, with such unwavering changes of protocols daily. I take my hats off to those who come to work, clean, pass food to us… do their best and still try to make sure all guests are taken care off, while all our lives are at risk because the establishment NEEDS to ensure all guests are safe.
So happy that the rooms have a microwave and basic cutlery all tools including scissors and wine opener etc.
Was happy to also know that you can bluetooth music in the showers and toilets.
Can't help much with regards of the 21 days of what's type of food is provided. It's not the usual normal times of room service. But if you are craving for something different, you can always call Grab or Food Panda. Or have friends or family to drop off anything you need at the lobby. You can even order stuff from Lazada. Takes a few days but you'll get everything you order online. The protocols is that we can't pass stuff to family or friends to keep everyone safe.
The current in-room SAMSUNG TVs are only capable of the mirroring options for Android devices but the hotel said that they are looking into broadening this option in the near future, for iPhones users.
So if you don't have an Android phone to kill your time watching Netflix, best is to get a Chrome Cast for your 21 days of quarantine.
I would stay there again for sure and recommend others too.

My family and I stayed here during Chinese New Year. The hotel is brand new, well decorated and very convenient to Chinatown, the Financial Center and a number of hawker markets in the area. The hotel also has a nice gym, pool, steam room and laundry room on the rooftop.
We had a number of heavy pieces of luggage and the concierge was great in helping us load/unload to our room. Our stay was greatly enhanced when we met Zain (The Fixer). He took the satisfaction of our stay seriously and wanted ideas on improvements the hotel can make. We had a very late flight out and he arranged to have our checkout time extended without asking. Great customer service. I highly recommend this hotel to tourist and corporate travelers.

Very accommodating & willing to resolve issues. My booked room had an electrical issue & they had to downgrade me to a regular room the first night. They gave me an additional discount as well as comp my extra bed charge of $90 SGD/night till I could move to a higher grade rm. Both the night & day managers were excellent. The night manager placed an extra bed in the room by himself when I had stated we want to sleep immediately post our long travel.
We had the 16th floor pool to ourselves for the 2 hrs we were there. We hardly saw any other guests though the hotel was full.
In house self-service laundry was $10 SGD for wash & $5 for drying with detergent provided. There is a laundromat just across the street also.
Only Chinatown is within walking distance. We did not try the MRT. We used Grab (8-15 min to sites) since the touristy sites like Garden by the Bay & Little India is 30-40 min walk or with public transport.

modern hotel centrally located with good connectivity to public transport and many restaurants and hawker centres. Check in and check out was a breeze (prepaid fully on the hotel website for best rates). Room had a large comfortable bed and the location on the 12th floor was quiet with no street noises. Inclusion of a microwave and kitchen sink with filtered tap water was a bonus. Room cleanng services were regular and cleanliness well maintained.

The good: location is unbeatable, close to all of Chinatown's sights, attractions and eateries. The MRT is a short walk away with easy access to anywhere in Singapore. The room was clean and relatively spacious, the pool nice and the gym seemed to have quite a few machines available. The bad: the staff are not very helpful with trouble understanding simple requests. Breakfast was minimal and disappointing considering the size of the Hotel and number of guests. Breakfast choices limited and no indication that you can order freshly cooked eggs to your liking (we found out on day 2). Housekeeping was strange with some rooms being attended to late in the afternoon (4.00pm). A simple call to housekeeping for a small towel took 2 attempts and in the end they brought up a bar of soap? For an expensive city Hotel in a Global City they really need to pick up their game and deliver on customer interface. On the upside the Concierge staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would we stay here again? yes only for the location though, not for the staff.

This was a last minute, one night family staycation and I couldn't have been happier with the service provided by the staff, attentive and friendly.
Lovely brand new hotel, very clean, modern rooms and amenities e.g. swimming pool with superb view of the surounding building especially during nightime.
The decor and ambiance of the surrounding hotel topped the day off perfectly.
The location is perfect enough and walking distance to nearby nighlife spots and famous eatery (lau pa sat)
Additional speciality where u can be able to have friend or family bonding with their spin and play room. 24/7 launderette with play zone - PS4 gaming experience.
Great value, highly recommend and will definitely stay again when visiting the area. SUPERB!
