Terrible option. I don’t know what I was thinking. Standard room has no window, AC right above bed blowing on you, poorly cleaned bathroom. Barely enough room to move about with luggage so felt very claustrophobic. All this for a whopping US$130. I would rather pay more or stay a bit outside the central area and MRT in. Indifferent staff !

This is the most unpleasant experience in my entire life. on check-in, I was 'upgraded' to a loft so to speak. and what an upgrade! You find bedside lamps hanging off the wall on their wire (see picture). There is no hot water so I have to live with cold water and floor panels popping out.. you name it, anything you would find in a flea motel, it is there. when I feedback to the front desk, I was told they would change me to another room but I had to come back to move my stuff. So I cut short my night out just to move my stuff, only to find out that they had actually moved my stuff for me. I have a DO NOT DISTURB sign on and my valuables, which include my passport, were not secured and they have simply barged into my room and gone through my stuff. PLUS... they manage to throw my things away, simply because they think it is trash. So the night manager apologized, but my stuff is gone. Fast forward to the next morning, I am working in the room and went out for smokes only to find out that someone came into my room, yet again, even when the DO NOT DISTURB sign is on. And when I spoke to the front desk about giving feedback, along the way during the conversation, this character by the name of CHEN simply retorted: I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU. So if you are looking for - 100% invasion of privacy - tackless character manning the front desk (Shout out to Chen) - having your belongings thrown away... Book this hotel... you won't be disappointed. And for $200 a night... you might find more value at the budget hotel across the road.

We checked into Soloha for 7 hours. It was midnight and dark and we were tired. The first impression wasn’t great. The outside is lovely with the shutters, which is the Chinatown theme. We stepped into the foyer which is basically a bar. We went to our family loft and managed to get the aircon to work but the one near the door blew hot air. Our teens went up the stairs, that they make you sign a waiver for incase you fall down them, and we clambered into the downstairs bed. You can’t walk around the bed as it’s a platform so you jump into it from the end. Like an Olympic diver. In the daylight we exited a hasty retreat. The aircon leaked all over the floor, there were grubby handprints on the walls, and the toilet is that small that my 6”2 husbands knees were up around his neck and his nether regions scraped the wall as he stood up. Imagine how many other pork and beans have touched that wall. We had to take turns walking up the hall and it just didn’t work for our family of 4. My kids would’ve needed therapy for a year being that close to Mum and Dad. I’d say the old saying “you get what you pay for” but considering it was $1400+for 4 nights with an additional $150 bond per night they slugged us for for any damage to the room, I’d say you get nothing for what you paid for. It’s a bit rich asking for a bond for damage considering the room and hall carpets need a good deep clean and the aircon needs an overhaul. There are thousands of hotels offering much more and we went there instead.

Was rudely treated by the young lady check in staff namely Chan who used her mobile phone to take screen shot of my ic and she had displayed arrogance with sarcastic remarks when asking me to make payment unprofessionally. When reminded her of pdpa clause she deleted but rudely challenged me to complaint if am not happy. Was initially sceptical about the room size which is a red flag but went ahead to book and true enough it's Pigeon hole size. For a 4hours day use $107 which is ripped off and in addition with it's rude and unprofessional staff, would not recommend this hotel and avoid at all cost.

I do not recommend the hotel. If the location was not as good I would have given 1 star. The room was small, dusty and had a lot of small flies. The toilet is so small that you cannot close the sliding door when you are sitting in the toilet and I am a woman, not a 2m tall man. The toilet and the shower did not have proper walls, only see-through glass between each other and the room. No curtain. So no privacy. Needed to ask my travel partner to close the eyes when I went to the toilet. I do not understand who would enjoy staying at the hotel.

We stayed at their Loft room (family of three). The room is long and narrow. Unless we push all our luggages under the bed (the floor underneath the bed is full of dust), there is hardly any clearance we can place our luggages let alone opening them up! The bathroom and toilet are one of the tiniest.. The aircon unit leaks water which we had to put a towel on the floor to soak it up overnight. This trendy hotel might be great for single travellers but definitely not fit for family. It is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and bars.

Hotel Soloha is located in a good spot for restaurants and access to the MRT. It was about a 3 minute walk to the Maxwell MRT, and about a 7 minute walk to the Chinatown MRT. So good location, but.... The room was tiny. Seriously, you had to crawl into the bed because one side is against the outside wall and the other side is the bathroom wall. There was no room to sit if you wanted to work on your computer other than the bed. There is no bar or restaurant associated with the restaurant. There used to be, but it has closed. The front desk staff was helpful, but didn't seem like they knew the area as much as I would have expected. All in all, if you are traveling single and just need a place to sleep, this hotel is fine. But don't expect any real amenities associated with it.

The manager was appalling and lied to us on several occasions. She was rude and unhelpful. She continues to withhold email address of the owners who we wish to complain to directly. We stayed there on 8Th September and are still waiting for our deposit back! I hope someone more senior than the manager sees this and contacts me. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!

Rooms are small. Like REALLY small. Not really for westerners in my opinion. AVOID if mobility issues. One of you will have to climb over the bed to get into it. Basically only room for hand luggage. Our suit cases went under the bed but it wasn’t a great experience. No breakfast. Free water and a few drinks was a nice touch. Wouldn’t return.
