It is a great hotel and we enjoyed the stay. We arrived at around two PM but the check in is very slow and the check in hall with packed with people and was hot. It took like half an hour to finish the process and took another ten minutes at the MBS Rewards counter to get breakfast voucher. Very inefficient and we nearly missed the swimming session booked. However the rest of the stay was getting better. I booked two rooms and one city view room got upgraded to sky view room and the rooms were spacious. The room I stayed got two giant TVs at least 80 inches each. It has a big sofa area and the sofa is in fact a sofabed as well. The view from the room was spectacular. You got the best bay view in Singapore from the room. The room was expensive if you just looked at the dated furnitures but it's spacious and the view definitely worth you the money. The hotel service was great, we like the house keeping guy who provided more bottle waters for us, made our bed with thoughtful decorations. We requested some plaster, a blanket and some plates and they were served promptly. The breakfast at RISE was great, I never had such full breakfast since the start of Covid at any other hotels. The staff were very helpful in finding us tables as we have 6 people. The infinity pool was not crowded perhaps due to the Covid and we enjoyed the time there. Really great place for photoshoots. The club lounge at level 55 has a 360 degree view but was packed with people during the weekend. The food and drink was ok. The family liked the hotel a lot. A couple of areas perhaps could be handled better: 1. The check-in process is lengthy and the check-in hall was packed with people 3. There is no direct lift access to car park 4. The swimming pool is difficult to book - often it only has 6 am, 1 pm and 11 pm slots 5. At midnight, I was trying to find a 7-11 or vending machine but cannot find any nearby. 6. It is extremely uncomfortable being asked name and room in and out of lift. 7. The room is spacious but dated.

Stayed at the Marina Bay Sands more than halve a dozen occasions but have never considered the rooms to be anything to shout about. The only one big reason you want to stay in the MBS is the following. The Garden Seaview or the Marina Bay Seaview. Other than that the rooms depending on the tower you are in are just normal, interior nothing to go GOOGOO about. The other only reason is the ICONI reason to take a pic at the infinity pool and dine at Spagos....ooops and not forgetting if you love gamblings and dorning the MBS Bath Robe and walking all over the shopping mall. With that being said, the few restaurants that are found around the MBS including their very own hotel coffee shop serves some pretty delicious food.

Finally, we did a staycation at MBS hotel! This is definitely one of the hotel on my “must” stay list. Was appalled by the crowds of people waiting to check in, this certainly dont seem like a pandemic is going on right now! Thankfully, we booked the grand club room which offers personalised check-in in our room. The enhanced check-in services provided by the premium team was amazing. All we have to do, is to give them a call prior to our arrival on the day itself, and there will be someone assigned to standby for our arrival at the valet area. We were immediately greeted by Allie, the moment we stepped out of the car. Simply awesome! Needless to say, we were directed straight to our room for check-in. We were given a room upgrade to their Orchid suite on the 52th floor. What a pleasant surprise! Greatly appreciated. Suite was massive in size, it even came with two covertible sofa bed which my two boys got to sleep in one each comfortably. However, we do find the room a bit spartan , lacking some decorative ornaments. Big in size but seem bare compared to some luxurious hotel suites. The TV in the room even had cables dangling out. Being a 5 star hotel, i think the technical team should work on it more. Aesthetically, it was not so pleasant to see. Not a big issue but can be improved. Nonetheless, the suite was clean and view was amazing. Highlights of staying at MBS hotel is without doubt, the Infinity pool. Allie was prompt in assisting to secure a swimming slot for us on the first day of our day ( even though i did book immediately once is open, however only a 6am slot is available) Pool are divided into 3 sections, each with at least a lifeguard on duty. Very systematic as the hotel will send reminder via sms on the day itself regarding your booking time. To avoid overcrowding, they will clear the guests batch by batch so that it will not be too congested at the lift lobby. There are also safe distancing ambassadors around…so yes, mask on when u are not in water and 1 meter apart ;) All guests that booked club room and above catergory, can have acess to club 55. Afternoon tea and canapés are served daily. Food wise, not too bad but doesn’t leave deep impression. Service staff are attentive and try their best to accommodate our requests. However, it can get a little too hectic during certain times and it doesnt seem so exclusive as a club lounge. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. If budgets allow, I would suggest to go for the club room and above catergory, it will be an unforgettable experience. Oh, Allie even called us up on our day of check- out to ensure that we had a great stay ,and even came personally to give us a departure gifts. If this is not impeccable service, I dont know what is?
