Small boutique hotel perfectly placed near the bars and restaurants on Club Road. This can mean some noise in the street facing rooms, but I did not feel this was excessive. Others may disagree, in which case select the non-street facing rooms. Great breakfast, but the highlight is the basement whisky bar - serves a perfect old fashioned.

Had one of the 2 'suites' which is actually just a larger room. Bed and bathroom were clean; but some parts of the room and common areas such as the lift were not clean. I know the windows are old and therefore dust may blow in but there is no excuse for a dusty lift at these prices. Breakfast is...

I am so happy I found this gem. Everything about this hotel is great - location, service, room. I don't have anything to fault. This hotel is located in the heart of Chinatown, only about 2 mins walk to Maxwell food centre (great food) and 5 minutes for Chinatown for more food and shopping. Two MRT stations nearby (about 5...

Classic boutique hotel in a renewed herirtage building, beautifully appointed, in the heart of Chinatown – very atmospheric, staff very pleasant and welcoming. Good breakfast, great location - I have gait/walking challenges (stroke); accom. has to be convenient to shopping and/or sights. Spoilt for choice - close to hawker centres (Maxwell Food Court is really close and convenient!), food courts...

Well located on a street with beautiful old buildings and restaurants. Walk to Maxwell Food Centre, Lau Pa Sa and Chinatown MRT. Very comfortable bedroom with lovely decor and decent toiletries. Need to improve front desk service - waited a long time for front desk to answer our call and then we had to ask 3 times to get new...

We stayed at the Club for 8 days before a cruise. It is a great location for exploring Chinatown. It is a small place with 20 rooms, but the staff is great. Has glasses of ice water waiting for us when we returned from an adventure.

The Club was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable and in a brilliant location. Perfect for all the food halls, close to bus stops and train terminal. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Indeed a very pretty boutique hotel with spacious room, located on the famous club street with full of bars and restaurants with good access to chinatown and financial district! However the booking was confusing as I was told at my arrival that the room I booked was no longer available, and some of the staffs were quite aggressive and far...

I've selected to stay in this hotel mainly for the location but it turned out to be much more than expected. The rooms are very nice and quiet despite the fact that the hotel is located near Club Street, an area with many bars. Breakfast was interesting and very nice as instead of a typical variation the hotel offers 3-4...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
