Located near Chinatown and two MRT (subway/underground/metro) stations so there is much to see nearby and it's easy to go elsewhere. Pleasant and well-equipped room and outstanding service from the friendly staff.

This is a gem.. Just in china town in a great old style area of Singapore. Close to Mrt which makes it so easy to get around. Lots of little bars and eateries in the street Which is very busy fri and sat night when they close the street off too vehicles. All adds to the atmosphere. Staff at hotel...

We had been in Singapore in October 2016 for 5 days and stayed in one of the "big" American Hotels in the business district. We were disappointed with the "soulless atmosphere of the hotel and the area. We were talked into going back with some friends for Chinese New Year. We stayed in Little China and chose "The Club Hotel"...

Amazing staff, great location, artful interiors, built in a heritage building fronted by good bars. Architectural and interior design of this hotel was an absolute treat. Unique aesthetics add depth and character to the hotel. Appreciate also the little things - art pieces in the hallways and room, selection of books and magazines in the room's desk, and the flexibility...

Nice hotel We chose it this time because of location as we usually stay in larger hotels in other areas, we walked to some of our favorite spots in Singapore every day. We also liked the rooftop bar which was quite chill and a great place to grab sunset drinks. Service was generally professional and nice. Negatives: Quite dark, very...

I booked 3 rooms for friends from Canada, Australia, and Malaysia who visited during the Christmas holidays. All of them were impressed by the hotel's charm as it is a stylishly decorated and renovated old building located in a trendy part of Singapore (Club Street and Chinatown which is walking distance from other points of interests). The rooms were very...

I had an excellent time staying at The Club. Although the hotel is not super close to an MRT station, but it takes only about 7 minutes on foot from the Telok Ayer MRT (alternately, you can go through the Ann Siang Hill Park, which leads you to Amoy Street, and can save yourself 2 minutes). However, if you are...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
