If you are looking for a small, relaxed & friendly place to stay in Singapore, in the central city area convenient to public transport and getting around, this is it! We are a small laid back place to stay where you'll some meet great people and get some sleep!
I enjoyed my stay at Green Kiwi. I've stayed at a few different accommodations around Singapore over the last few years, and this was the only that had that real "hostel vibe" in the sense that both the staff and the building was really set up to go about helping you to make the most of the city with recommendations and a good dose of local insight. The only downside was that it was a bit of a walk from the MRT station; that was fine for most days, but not that much fun when I was lugging my large backpack on my check-in/check-out days. That said, staying nearer one of the MRT stations seemingly comes at a premium. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm in Singapore again and I'd definitely stay here again. The rooftop lounge and the cheapest beer prices anywhere in the city could…

I give it a 5! Yes clean room, bed and bathroom! Very acceptable and recommended for a budget stay! I stayed at the girls room, and had a great experience. I was able to sleep sound. Very quiet and very clean. I didn't have any bug bites compared to sleepy kiwi. The security of each room is functioning very well. The bathrooms are spacious. Good number of bathrooms for each floor or area. Free and good breakfast everyday. Great coffee by the way! Cheap beers and water. Staff are very kind and accommodating, they let me transfer from green kiwi to sleepy kiwi when I requested. The location is acceptable but its like the ambiance for me gives me a sense of not accessable.. BUT buuuttt!!! Very near bus stops and cafes around. The only thing I didn't like was the entrance to it, you…

My friend recommended this hostel because its cheap and clean. I went to Singapore with my mom and the first thing we notice was the nasty smell of the shoes before entering the door, they have the policy to leave the shoes outside. When we entered our room, the ac wasn't functioning and so they used a fan for ventilation. The beds were ok, there were individual reading light and switch plugs but we were not comfortable so we decided to book a better hotel, I cant imagine sleeping on that room after a whole day walking and tour. They have several shared shower room and toilet so there will be no need to wait for a que. The water supply is strong, shower rooms are clean, but toilets, you may sometimes find it smelly and dirty. My mom loved their bfast, they are serving loaf…

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms affordable. I stayed in a dorm style but I believe there's private rooms available too. Aircon works great in the rooms, a must in Singapore. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in a hostel. Separate toilet and shower rooms, so you don't have to shower right next to the toilet, like most hostels. About a 10 minute walk from MRT and bus stops are even closer. When you book, they send you incredibly detailed instructions on how to get to them, even though it's not complicated at all. Any questions you have about things to do in Singapore, they can answer knowledgeably. Favorite hostel I've stayed in in awhile.

I wasn't keen on this hostel at first as there are no activities except for one thing weekly and so it felt hard to meet people here but after a week it was hard to leave and the place really grew on me! Staff are really friendly and the whole place has a family feel to it. Closely located between 2 stations within walking distance so very easy to get around Singapore. The hostel is lined with suggestions of places to visit and things to do including their recommendations. Free wifi and a great roof terrace for socialising. I stayed in the large mixed room and really liked it here. Plug sockets and a light for each bed. Plenty of space in the room. My only problem was the room was unbearably hot, the air con kept breaking every day or so and we had to make do with noisy…

After moving out of terrible hostel close by, it was SO good to stay here! Great beds, amazing shower with spot to place dry clothes/stuff, really friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is great, they actually have proper coffee which made my day everyday. Good location with 2 train station to choose from.

I spent a week at this hostel, and would definitely stay here again if I came back to Singapore. It's very easy to meet people at the hostel (due to the great air-conditioned common area and the rooftop terrace), the breakfast (and coffee) is very good and runs until 1pm and the rooms are nice. There are plenty of cheap eating options nearby and the room rates are cheap for Singapore. But the best thing about this hostel is the staff. Carole, Andrea and Doris are so lovely, funny and always happy to help. I highly recommend this place!

Even though the room had 4 beds, my boyfriend and I had it to ourselves, which was very nice :) the staff is very friendly and helpful, the beer is cold and cheap. The Rooftop terrace is a delight, especially by night. It's a great hostel for a backpacker!

The hostel is a little out the way so will need to use public transport to get into the city. The transport is relatively easy and the staff are happy to help with any queries, best routes etc. The free breakfast is great - Nutella, peanut butter, jam and a selection of fruit - and sets you up for the day. Wifi is perfect and there is a roof top to chill on when the city gets too much. A great, cosy hostel where you feel at home.
