Detailed Reviews
the room we stayed in was good for a family of 9. The place was well- maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. they serve good breakfast.. toast with plenty of fruits and a wide array of choices for toast spread.. i love the kaya spread, You can even take breakfast or have a late night cap at their rooftop. what makes the place even better is they provide free use of computers for easy net access. location is excellent too.. not so near the crowded areas of little india or chinatown but not quite far from entertainment and activities areas. accessible to two mrt stations.. if i may suggest, it would be much better if kiwi management have a phone number so we can contact them anytime. :)

Was here with My friends 4nights! Coosy beds and includes brake fast! You have the bus's top outside so it's easy to go in to the city! The service was good and they could answer all of our questions !

Surprisingly good!!! The guys manning the desk were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and showered down every night. Aircon in the room was great. Room was 'compact' but adequate to use as a base. Basic breakfast was provided (tea/coffee, toast and spreads) but totally fine as a quick bite to eat before heading out.

Green Kiwi Hostel in Singapore is the best!
The stuff is so helpful and always there if you need something (tips what to do in Singapore, a haircut, an adapter,...)
The beds are comfortable, air- conditioned, breakfast included (& the coffee is very good!) and the bathrooms clean.

I liked staying here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the beer is cheap (for Singapore) and the rooftop terrace is a good place to chill out and socialise. There's nothing it can do about the location, which is not great - a long slog to Lavender MRT (at least 20 mins, not counting the numerous road crossings) but slightly closer to Boon Keng MRT. But it can surely do something about the beds. They are so-so in the comfort stakes but my goodness are they rickety! They squeak and rattle if you so much as breath in them - definitely not for the self-conscious!
The social scene is hit and miss: there were nights when the rooftop was busy and buzzing, others when it was dead. Luck of the draw really.

A great central hostel, with sweet personal.
I stayed there for 4 days, till I moved into an apartment, and I met a lot of nice people during my stay.
I can really recommend the hostel to both students and backpackers :)

I enjoyed my stay at Green Kiwi. I've stayed at a few different accommodations around Singapore over the last few years, and this was the only that had that real "hostel vibe" in the sense that both the staff and the building was really set up to go about helping you to make the most of the city with recommendations and a good dose of local insight. The only downside was that it was a bit of a walk from the MRT station; that was fine for most days, but not that much fun when I was lugging my large backpack on my check-in/check-out days. That said, staying nearer one of the MRT stations seemingly comes at a premium. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm in Singapore again and I'd definitely stay here again. The rooftop lounge and the cheapest beer prices anywhere in the city could be a large determining factor in that.

I stayed at Green Kiwi for four nights and I had an excellent experience. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgable and always willing to help. The free breakfast was simple but tasty, with toast, cereal, seasonal fruit and FABULOUS coffee. The rooms were clean and tidy, and there was plenty of space for me. The roof terrace was a nice place to hang out in the evenings, and was good both for socialising with others or for some quiet time to phone home. The hostel was located about ten minutes walk from Lavender metro station (convenient for the airport), and five minutes walk from Boon Keng station, which we used daily to see the city.
The only small downside was the smell of shoes on the way into the hostel. It's quite a long walk up through the entrance hall and the smell was awful. This however did mean the hostel itself smelled incredibly fresh!!
I had an excellent stay at Green Kiwi and I would be delighted to return if I am in Singapore again.

My first ever hostel experience in SE Asia and remains one of my favourite hostels to this day.
Though it was difficult to find initially with the taxi driver, nor myself, having a clue where it was, it proved to be a bit of a hidden gem after 4 nights staying here. I arrived quite late at night but the receptionists were really helpful, even giving me recommendations and great advice on things to do in the morning for my first full day.
The rooms are small but the beds comfy, fully equipped with a bedside light and plug socket extensions for multiple devices which can be very convenient for those with a couple of electronic items. The bathrooms are also very good with about 6 shower cubicles per floor so there's never really a queue. They have a rooftop bar, but I didn't use this so couldn't comment.
The best part for me, was the breakfast. Admittedly, it was toast, fruit and tea/coffee but it was unlimited, had a never-before-seen variety of spreads and lasted until 1pm! A wise tactic considering the size of the place, but a small touch that went down very well with the residents.
A short walk to Lavender subway station and very near cheap eateries, i'd recommend this hostel to anybody travelling to Singapore, you won't regret it!
