If you are looking for a small, relaxed & friendly place to stay in Singapore, in the central city area convenient to public transport and getting around, this is it! We are a small laid back place to stay where you'll some meet great people and get some sleep!
I stayed at Green Kiwi Backpackers for three nights in October 2015. It's located a bit away from the city center, so taking the EW line MRT might be your best bet. It's a ten minute walk to Lavender station from where you can reach the center in around ten minutes. The subway ride to the airport takes around 30 minutes. There's a lot of restaurants and a hawker center close to the hostel, so you'll never run out of options when it comes to food. The reception desk was really friendly and helpfull. They have a nice common area where you can rest or read some of the recommendations and useful informations they provide. The breakfast was simple, yet so good. Stayed in a 10 bed dorm which was clean and neat. The bed was quite comfy! Showers and bathrooms were spotless and looked…

This hostel was truly amazing. It was the best hostel I have stayed in. The staff is super helpful and really just great people. The free breakfast that extends into early afternoon was also good. I strongly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting singapore.

Very easy to find from the airport based on the directions provided. The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast in the morning was excellent. The hostel was very clean as well as quiet, and we had no problems while staying here! Also there are heaps of really helpful posters all around the hostel with information about Singapore - what to do, how to get there etc. Would definitely stay again :)

Staff is helpful and knowledgable. Free breakfast. Great coffee and roof terrace, what more can you ask for! Rooms are very clean. Hostel is close to metro stations and cheap places where to eat. My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay at Green Kiwi. Perfect for backpackers!

Great little hostel just out of the city, everyone is so friendly and you get more than what you pay. Not very far from public transport and it's a short walk to food options. The staff were really helpful as well!

I stayed at Green Kiwi for four nights and I had an excellent experience. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgable and always willing to help. The free breakfast was simple but tasty, with toast, cereal, seasonal fruit and FABULOUS coffee. The rooms were clean and tidy, and there was plenty of space for me. The roof terrace was a nice place to hang out in the evenings, and was good both for socialising with others or for some quiet time to phone home. The hostel was located about ten minutes walk from Lavender metro station (convenient for the airport), and five minutes walk from Boon Keng station, which we used daily to see the city. The only small downside was the smell of shoes on the way into the hostel. It's quite a long walk up through the entrance hall and the…

My first ever hostel experience in SE Asia and remains one of my favourite hostels to this day. Though it was difficult to find initially with the taxi driver, nor myself, having a clue where it was, it proved to be a bit of a hidden gem after 4 nights staying here. I arrived quite late at night but the receptionists were really helpful, even giving me recommendations and great advice on things to do in the morning for my first full day. The rooms are small but the beds comfy, fully equipped with a bedside light and plug socket extensions for multiple devices which can be very convenient for those with a couple of electronic items. The bathrooms are also very good with about 6 shower cubicles per floor so there's never really a queue. They have a rooftop bar, but I didn't use…

I stayed at this hostel for one night. Room and bed was comfortable and had air con which was nice. breakfast was provided and basic. One of the staff members was extremely helpful and seemed to know the local area and was able to provide easy and cheap solution when my bag broke. The shower was great but I did see a rat in the bathroom. Also the smell of the shoes in the entrance is nasty. Some ventilation would help with the odour in the entrance. I wouldn't stay here again, I would pay more to stay somewhere else.

Service is great and the people from the hostel really want to know about you and the help a lot with planning your days in Singapore. The breakfast is great (Please try the toast with Kaya and butter!!), it was really nice to find fruit and unlimited spreads. The rooms are okay and there is space under the beds if you´re carrying a big bag like i did. The highlight of the hostel is the Rooftop garden, it really helps with meeting people from all around the world. This hostel really made my trip to Singapore even greater.

Nice hostel. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good, and the rooftop is very nice. I really liked staying here They should replace the bedsheets though, because they're pretty old and kind of uncomfortable. The showers are really nice, and the hostel is very clean. The location is average, not far away from the Bugis Area, but the metro stop is still a ten minute walk. The Wi-Fi didn't work at the rooms, and I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi in the common room most of the time. The staff really helped you around, and they're easy to reach from the airport.
