Great hip location with tons of restaurants from inexpensive to fancy bars, bus stop right in from of hostel...SO much shopping, food court, etc, right in the middle of a hip part of town. Did I mention shopping? Lol The staff are really professional, helpful, and friendly, start hotel's service. They also have two ladies cleaning the building all day...

The staff are friendly, they clean regularly, the breakfast is fairly decent for a hostel and being free, and the showers are pretty good. The lockers are big enough for most bags, available for each guest, but also you can store stuff under the bed if in a lower bunk. Charger socket for each bed. You can do free laundry...

I must say we were extremely let down by this hostel. The common toilets were very seldom clean with human waste not flushed or piss on the toilet seats. If you are a couple it’s complicated to use the toilets the male and female toilets are not on the same floor and getting up at night to use the toilet...

The hostel is a very clean hostel. It has a large common area - however it is not very social and it seems that most people kept to themselves. There seemed to be a lot of couples. Breakfast is basic - toast and cereals. The hostel has a no shoe policy which helps maintain it clean and tidy. Wi-Fi is...

Very well located close to the centre easy to reach on public transport. Friendly staff, very clean, free breakfast, good wifi. It could maybe have done with having a couple more showers (on my floor there were 2 between 2 dorms) but other wise excellent and Very good value would highly recommend

They are very helpful to take me around and show me how good the hostel is. The breakfast and the service are very...

Me, and my girlfriend stayed here for one night. Our stay here, was the first time we ever stayed at a hostel, and this hostel gave us a very good first impression! There is nothing to complain about this place (therefore full score). The only thing that bothered us, was one of our roommates, which snored a lot. But, when...

Five Stone Hostel is located in the Arab Street which is one of the most upcoming areas of Singapore. Just not that just a few steps away is Little India which is another amazing place to visit. It is an ideal place to stay especially if you are a backpacker. Its air-conditioned rooms, comfortable lounge area, and free WiFi will...

It was my first time to travel abroad with my best friend. We are both college students so budget is the first priority. We were delighted with the gem we found in the middle of Singapore. It is clean, comfy and a mere walking distance from Bugis and other nice places to visit. Highly recommended!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Singapore's best and friendliest hostel! With each of our rooms featuring interesting designs, Five Stones Hostel gives Singapore cultural elements a refreshing new lease of life. Quirky designs and decor characterize our spanking new boutique hostel. Boasting one of the best beds among Singapore hostels (8 inch orthopaedic spring mattresses, no less) and conveniently located within 10mins walking distance to the majority of Singapore's key tourist attractions, it's the latest addition to the plethora of high quality budget accommodation in Singapore which blurs the line between hostel and hotel. ... more   less
