I guess this place has good average ratings coz it was better in the past; at least that is what I kept hearing from the guest who are regulars in this place and was kind of disappointed this time. Not much attention was give to cleanliness of the pod where I slept. Its was hot in my room as they...

The Wink Hostel is located in China Town, 4-5 mins walk to Chinatown MRT and bus stops. The whole facility is clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the room I got was clean and comfortable. I booked a bed in the female dorm room. There were around 10 beds in one room, each bed has its own curtain,...

I have been to this hostel previously and it was great but on my last visit with my fiancee I found that the standards that were there before have dropped. Under bed locking cupboard for luggage etc the front electronic pcb and cover falling off every time it was used, thie pcb screws that hold the pcb in place were...

I had an awesome 2 nights stay at yellow flame dormitory type room for ladies! I love my personal space even though it's a shared room. Key card works well and I so love the "pass the soap" concept. I survived my stay without spending a penny on toiletries. Toilets are well maintained and receptionist are very accommodating on my...

I'm travelling for a couple months and although I normally use private rooms I decided to give Wink a try as the cost was so reasonable compared to hotels here and I was only staying for 3 nights. Easy enough to find, close to Chinatown MRT. In fact, it was a great location for exploring. Clarke Quay, Raffles, Marina Bay...

First off I gave this place a 3 because of the sleep we got. We got a double occupancy pod. Which was super cute and clean. Only problem... we had the top bunk and at night it gets super hot!! So the whole night was very uncomfortable. We talked to our friends that stayed in the single pods and the...

I stayed at Wink hostel for one night before leaving Singapore. Although the price is quite expensive for the hostel, I really enjoy the stay as the cleanliness, decent facilities, friendly atmosphere and staffs and the location. It is located in the heart of the city, in the Chinatown and very close to the MRT Chinatown station just only 3-5...

book the whole room of 8 beds as I travel with large group. The beds are clean, the hot shower pressure is also nice especially after a long walk during the day. The location of this hostel is great. Near to MRT station and lots of foods joint.

We stayed in Wink Hostel in October 2016 for over the weekend stay. We took the couple pods. The room, bed was very clean. The room was very cold with 2 air cons. The shared washrooms were ok. The complementary breakfast was good, I hope they can add some better coffee. It's in the heart of Chinatown and very close...

Hostel is very clean, comfortable and you get lots of privacy for a budget price. Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and the service is great! Personally I don't mind some noises when people come and go but if you're really sensitive to noises (pods reduce pretty much noise) I suggest bring some earplugs. Overall, great place to stay!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
