Nine in our group had a 10 bed dorm. Really pleased to see how clean the place was - especially the bathrooms. Great location - easy for public transport but also convenient to walk. Didnt have time to explore all the food options nearby but it looked like there was a great range to suit all tastes and budgets. Would...

Great location! It's conveniently by the MRT and a Bee Cheng Hiang shop at the corner. There are a bunch of stores in walking distance, even in the night. Check in is open 24 hours and that was really helpful when our flight got delayed. Our room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was new and...

It's a high-end hostel with good service and flashy decoration. It could be more clean for sure, there was stains in the sheet and the doors are super dirty... the showers could be more clean too given the price paid per night... I guess it's Singapour so it has to be expensive but if you can't afford the Marina Bay;...

Centrally located, this is a clean, safe, friendly p!ace to stay. Reception is manned 24/7 unlike many other hostels, with the staff being super friendly and helpful. The pods are spacious as is the luggage locker under the bed. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities are a bonus. I have a new favourite place to stay in Singapore.

Wink Hostel was great. I found all the facilities really clean - it felt decent. The doona cover and bed were crisp white and the bed was really comfy ( Possible a futon mattress.) The key card security was good and I was walking distance to the MRT. Aside from being in Chinatown, it is actually possible to walk tot...

I stayed only a few nights in Singapore but the wink hostel is a beautiful place with clean rooms and great staff! I loved staying in a pod as it offers enough room to be comfortable and still gives you more privacy than other hostelrooms with bunk beds do. Great place, awesome location - always worth the trip :)

Best hostel I have ever stayed at. Great location, great rooms. Loved the pods. Staff and owner were all very friendly and helpful! Couldn't ask for more from a hostel. If ever in Singapore again will definitely stay here again.

Simple but chic style, cleanness is acceptable. Staffs gave warm service. Breakfast is very simple : milk, juice, cornflake(bad quality), bread and coffee , but there are many choices of jam for bread. There was some mistake, I booked lower bed but hotel arranged me the upper bed. It was OK. I need to use more power to claim up....

Simple and functional, overall cleanliness acceptable, staff was helpful too. In the heart of China Town, lots of shops and restaurants around. Close to metro station, and just a short walk to Maxwell food centre.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
