I had stayed in many hostels and Wink Hostel is one of my favourite! I love the pod concept which offers privacy. Staffs are friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is big enough for the occupants. Breakfast is only average (just cereal, fruits, bread, the usual) so I will suggest go out and sample Singapore's foods. Location is...

This is a top choice hostel in Singapore. The rooms are first rate pod style bunks in reasonably secure rooms. The rooms are well air conditioned, but the common areas are not and can get very hot so are not all that much fun to hang out in. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a relatively good...

The hostel has very professional staffs. The bathroom is clean. The breakfast is adequate. The pods provide you more privacy than the normal bed-style dorm; the walls help you don't see each other. However, it doesn't safe you from noises at all. With this kind of dorm I feel that the people may tend to lack of awareness and make...

We were very aprehensive about sharing a room and sleeping in a pod, But this has persuaded me completly! The night sleep was perfect and the pods were very comfertable. The rooms well air-conditioned and other people sharing the room were very respectful. You also had a unit under the pod to place all personal belongings safely and could only...

Having never stayed in a shared hostel room before, I was apprehensive about staying in a double pod with my partner. Out of the 4 nights, only had 1 bad nights sleep and that was due to another couple coming in very late and constantly opening and closing the dorm door for a good hour. The air-con worked amazing, breakfast...

My partner and I stayed in one of the double bed pods over the Chinese New Year. Located about 5mins walk from the Chinatown MRT, as well as close to the New Bridge St main road for lots of buses, so really easy and convenient to get around. A lot of sights within walking distance too (Sri Mariamman Temple, Buddha...

The hostel's location is convenient and near the MRT station. A lot of restaurants around the area and it's tourist attraction point. The staff service is good even I was late to check-in but she knew me through checked the system. Good to stay.

Quite the right fit for solo travelers. Its a great place to be. Cleanliness is maintained to a decent standard. If you're staying for more than 3 days, you'll get bored of the breakfast. But about 20 steps down, very adjacent to the hostel are many restaurants.

Room was clean, and so was the bathroom, I had no issues at all with my stay. It was extremely close to the MRT and the beds were comfortable with the room air conditioned (SUCH a good feature in the heat of Singapore).

I don't really stay in hostels, but I decided to on this trip to try something new. It was also my first time visiting the city and I only knew a few people there. It wasn't perfect, but the staff and fellow guests made the trip to Singapore that much more pleasant. One big plus is the location. It's within...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
