The hotel is located in Chinatown, what it's perfect for almost anyone willing to know the city. The employees were very friendly and always willing to help. The price was very convenient, but there is nothing for free in this life. The size of the room was really small. If you have a big suitcase or 2 of them, forget... More

Small room but compact, we had a lovely room overlooking the busy China Town street. Full of life (and a little noise but it wasn't problematic) Clean and wonderful foyer (the old theatre). I would definitely recommend this place -if you wanted to have a quiet room you could always ask for a room without a window. I would come... More

Hotel is located in Chinatown and close to MRT station but room is quiet small. Because it is next to the main road, when cars passed by, it is quite noisy. If you need to freeze your Coke, sorry......you have to buy it in 711 cause there is no fridge inside your room.

We booked deluxe queen room for 3 nights. The room is dirty and lot of dust. We could not breath comfortably during our rest time. It is very noisy as location is next to the street and the window does not completely close. Super tidy bathroom with less than 10cm between flush toilet and wall. We could not sit on... More

I would have had given this hotel a 3 star rating, but after 4 nights of restless sleep. I've had it. Not to be mean and downgrade the sincere effort the hotel tries to put in. The staffs were courteous, the balcony view room although being rather small, it's sufficient given that kind of rate. The interior decor was just... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
