Room is tiny - 2 single beds, a very small writing table that is cluttered with phone/ hairdryer/ tea-coffee maker (hard to open and work on a laptop), a seat without a back - seems like you are squatting! The toilet and bathroom are as one, literally as the shower is right between the toilet and basin. You cant make it work albeit getting the whole place wet! Unless you need to be in this location, stay away. I have stayed in many Ibis hotels around the world - but this was disappointing in terms of the size of the room/ toilet. Even the place where you have breakfast they dont have some comfortable seating.

Great location; MRT/bus stands just across the main road and walking distance to Chinatown, Boat/Clarke Quays, Fort Canning and Kampong Glam. Bonus of the budget hotel having a roof top pool. However, we had to get pool towels from the Reception area. The room was comfortable with the air-cond working well. However, there was no fridge provided. 2 bottles of water were supplied daily but the coffee was not replenished. The bathroom/shower was poorly designed as the toilet area got all wet when the shower was used. Also, the absence of a towel rail means that you had nowhere to hang your towel when you were taking a bath and had to dry it on the hooks in the room. However, if the price is right, I would overlook all these negatives as the location was excellent. Close to the MRT and walking distance to so many tourist sites. You could also go out until the wee hours at Boat Quay and easily walk back to the hotel.

Booked this little hotel because we arrived in SIN at 0700 and were leaving 2300 that night. Decided on this one because it had a pool, and if we could not get in early we could at least have a swim As it happens we didn't get into the rooms until 1300 so the pool was super. They even provided towels for us. Rooms smallish but clean as was the bathroom. Great for us to grab few hours sleep and shower before heading back to the airport

This hotel is located in the heart of Clarke Quay and close to the MRT, the Quay itself with an array of cafes and restaurants, and in walking distance of the marina / sights ( Merlion/ Fullerton hotel etc ). The room was very clean and adequate for our stay as we were out most of the time. It is very small , so lack of space but has coffee/tea and toothbrush and paste. The toilet and bathroom are as one, and I mean literally as the shower is right between the toilet and basin. It is tiny but you can make it work , albeit getting wet haha! The pool is nice but the gym has a treadmill and steps and the room is that tiny that basically these two items take up the space of the entire room.

The Ibis Budget in Clarke Quay is the perfect place to stay for a Singapore break. It is very close to the MRT and a range of cafes and restaurants. Whilst the rooms are small (as most hotel rooms are in Singapore) they are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Had a 3D 2N staycation in a superior twin bed room at Ibis Budget Clarke Quay. The room is clean, bed abit hard but otherwise relatively comfortable. The bathroom wise is small , perhaps the flooring can have some anti slip surface / quick dry surface as it seems alittle hard to dry. What I love about Ibis Clarke quay is its central location, with plenty of good food its easy to get to Chinatown and walk around clarke quay area. it just took me a 15 mins stroll to get to my workplace at Raffles place. Enjoyed the short staycation at Ibis Budget Clarke Quay

Dear Rammkhamkaew, Yes, many travellers had chosen to stay at ibis budget Singapore Clarke Quay for it is situated close to the Central Business District. It is also within walking distance to Chinatown. Just a stroll away are Clarke Quay and Boat Quay lining the Singapore River, whereby there are plenty of restaurants and night entertainment to relax the night away. I am pleased to know that the location of this hotel had served your needs well. I wished to inform that only selective rooms offer a mini fridge and this is subject to the hotel's availability. It is regrettable the rooms with fridge had been occupied and unavailable during your hotel stay. Regards, Jack Chee Senior Customer Relations Manager

Firstly I begin by saying that the staff and housekeeping were quite on the ball when it came to cleaning the room, refilling the bottled water etc. They also helped with laundry delivery etc. This is a good aspect of their service. They were generally friendly on the whole. However, our sleep was severely affected, no matter whether day or night. There would be banging sounds of doors and sounds of moving of furnitures even till 1am. One time, the walls were vibrating. I am not sure if it is due to the structure of the door but we did bring this up to the reception. Apparently the doors were very hard to close properly. This meant that the hotel staff should educate each guest on the way to close it without making that much disruptive noise to their neighbours. Also I hope the hotel does checks on each levels from time to time to ascertain the causes of these noises. We had to buy multiple ear plugs and play white noise every night. Secondly we smelt smoke in our room toilet for almost a week plus before it dissipated. Yes, the hotel did provide an ioniser but beyond that they failed to go at the root of the issue- irresponsible and illegal behaviour of smoking within the room. This would occur between 8 to 10am every morning for 1 week plus. We even had to fork out our own money to buy a humidifier to clear up the air. Our 4 month long term stay was fraught with many troubles and while we know the staff is doing their part, we still feel greatly disappointed at the experience. We trusted IBIS to deliver due to past good experiences but it seems we were let down. If possible, a gesture of compensation would surely go a long way to making up for the expenses we paid in order to keep ourselves comfortable through the various issues.

This was our family's third staycation for the year, and, we were quite fortunate to book this as when we went back a day later, the hotel was sold out. We were surprised at the hotel's popularity, but on check-in, we were informed that we would be sharing the hotel with others guests serving the Stay-Home-Notice order. Not a big deal as all of our were fully vaccinated, and we spent most of the time outside. The hotel is located at Hong Kong Street, just opposite of the Clarke Quay MRT-cum-Central mall. Reaching there was easy once you exit the station. It's up the escalator, a walk to the other side, down the escalator, head towards the direction of the Dynasty Holiday building, and then that's it. The hotel is situated just off the main thoroughfare of New Bridge Road, so there is a touch of quiet in the area. Check-in was efficient, thanks to the organised and competent counter staff, and with a bit of good fortune, our rooms were ready for us. The room is clean and is not big, and, true to its budget name, the room is furnished with simplicity, with only the most essential items are available, ie, toiletries, room safe, kettle, hangers, and room fridge. Don't expect to see frills like iron, ironing boards, bedroom slippers and the like. The bathroom is small and compact, and the the hot shower works the moment you turn on the tap. No need for the cold water to be mixed in with the hot water. The bed is surprising comfortable, and is on par with the beds at hotels on a higher price point. Unlike some other beds, we didn't have trouble dozing off on the beds here. The wifi is very good, and the children had no trouble accessing their online games. The tv channels are limited to local stations and HBO. But not a big deal, as we aren't the types to stay in the room all day. The swimming pool and gym is located on the topmost 6th floor of the hotel. Again, just a place to just get soaked and refreshed. The gym, unfortunately, was closed, due to safe distancing. You will need to make a booking to use the pool though, and towels will be there when you want to use it. The only thing to remember when you are using the pool is that there are rooms on the 6th floor, hence, you might be stared at by somebody inside. Our booking came with breakfast at the Fangko cafe located next to the lobby. You will need to collect your vouchers from the counter. The breakfast menu is simple, its either local or western. The local item is nasi lemak, whilst the western menu is your typical toast with sausage, baked beans, scrambled eggs and hash brown. Breakfast is available only after 9am, so its good reason to sleep late. And, we found out the cafe has a loyal group of customers, cyclists who drop by after their training, so it gets crowded. For those who love their food, there is a plethora of choices around the hotel, within 10min walks in any direction. Shopping is great too, with Central, Chinatown Point and Funan malls. So all in, it was a pleasant stay at the ibis Clarke Quay. I can see why the hotel is popular with families, so it might be harder to book again next time.
