This hotel is situated in the Bras Basah. Bugis precinct which is the arts, heritage and design district in the heart of Singapore's civic centre. Hence its strategic location means that it is within walking distance of many landmarks in Singapore.
The building consists of nine Art Deco shophouses fronting a new 11-storey building in this charming integrated development. During the conservation of the shophouses, its lively decorative features were retained and restored. In fact, with the latest new coat of painting, these decorative features were painted in different colours to enhance its beauty. A splayed corner entrance leads to an open courtyard serving as a focal point between the old and the new. There are interesting murals at the entrance walls to reflect the history of these shophouses. There used to be a photographer's studio, book shops, sport shop etc. The most famous was the Rendezvous ( Hock Lock Kee ) Nasi Padang Restaurant which was a popular haunt for both expatriates and locals. This hotel is actually named after this popular restaurant. Crowning the hotel is a billboard resembling the ones displayed on shophouse roofs in the 1960s to 1980s.

Impressive service and quick response time by the team - Andrew, Dayang, Sofia and everyone on service at the Club Lounge from 1st to 4th April. Sorry I can't remember all of your names. From the hotel staff to cafe waiters, all are warm and friendly, making our stay extremely enjoyable. Absolutely love the Club Rendezvous benefits and highly recommend their luxurious Club rooms! We got access to food all day long, they were empathic as my child had a food allergy and tried to accommodate us as much as possible.

We chose this hotel as a place to recover from jet lag a couple of nights before our cruise. We had been to Singapore before and this time didn't feel compelled to push to see the sites. Right from check in the staff was welcoming and informative. The room was quite comfortable and the location wonderful with Food Republic next door to grab a quick bite. The shower was exceptional, spacious and great water pressure. My husband used the pool and gym facilities. Both just adequate not bad but no wow-factor. We were able to walk to the Gardens by the Bay and also Little India from the property. The night before we were to sail, our cruise line cancelled the trip and so we needed to reserve one more night while flight arrangements were changed. We booked one more stay but as it turned out, we were able to fly out early the next day and they graciously canceled our room with no charge. If we find ourselves in Singapore again, this will definitely be our property of choice.

We loved our six-night stay at the Rendezvous Hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, starting with the helpful email communication, and continuing with a lovely reception experience, and great concierge and room service. The location is brilliant. It is right next door to the Bencoolen MRT and very close to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT on one end of Orchard Rd, which easily give you cheap and convenient access to so much of Singapore. We walked a lot, as the central location means that many areas of interest are within walking distance, but the MRT is always a quick way to get around and get home. Across the road is a food court and there is a 7-Eleven in the building. The lobby is a work of art, with sculptures, paintings and even a library. We had breakfast one day, which had a nice variety of food. Everything was a bit cold, but it didn't worry us as it tasted good. Our twin room was large, clean and very comfortable with plenty of storage area. We looked out onto the pool on the same level. It wasn't private at all to open the curtains completely, but the sheer curtain allowed light in, and the room was very well insulated as we couldn't hear the pool or swimmers. There was also a small gym on our level. The pool was well-kept and had a lovely hot spa with strong jets. Overall, we are delighted with our choice of this hotel for our stay in Singapore, and we would happily return for another stay. Thank you to all involved with the Rendezvous. Highly recommended!

The Rendezvous Hotel as an excellent choice for a short stopover in Singapore. It is very conveniently located to get around the city. There is an MRT right outside the door and it is a 30 minute stroll the Marina Bay or Clarke Quay. Our room was very spacious with a desk with a work lamp, a large sofa, then the very comfortable bed was behind a screen. Two big television sets, one in the bedroom, one in the living area. Lots of cupboards and wardrobe space, plus an ironing board and iron. The bathroom was very large with a big walk in shower, big enough for two at least, plus a separate bath. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, I could not fault it. The staff were very helpful and called us a taxi to the airport witch cost $30.

I guess due to the concept of preserving the architecture of the building, the hotel takes a more classic look. The room looks pretty small but a good size with good enough room to walk around The air-con works really well, adjustable to your liking. TV channels were really good though i wish there was an option on the remote for channels that actually has dual language. I don't fancy programmes where the language is dubbed. Spacious shower cubicle. Hot water runs well. The minus points would be that i wish housekeeping also communicate with engineering department. A light bulb was not working since my first night and it was not rectified. The other point is that there seemed to be no good ventilation or vacuum in the bathroom. The odour or smell permeates into the bedroom.
Fitness centre is adequate but missing a weighing scale. Pool is small.

I have stayed in the Rendezvous Hotel on several occasions, but this trip was made extra special by the two lovely ladies on the Club desk, 11th floor. Marjorie Morales and Maybelle Peconcillo looked after me and my friend very well, always with a smile and good humour. They were both very helpful and responded to our small requests very quickly. They were just delightful people to have around, gracious and courteous at all times, and able to share a joke too! A real asset to the hotel. The Club facilities were excellent: the room and beds were clean and comfortable, excellent hot shower, and a plentiful supply of cold water and soft drinks in the minibar. We didn't like the coffee from the machine provided in our room, but the large choice of coffee types in the Club Room was great. Coffee and cold drinks were available all day in the Club Room and there were good food choices at breakfast and at "Happy Hour". The only negative comment I can make is that the room air conditioning was too cold for us. We tried to adjust the air temperature up but with little success. Apart from that it was a really great stay!

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group, the location was perfect for our needs, you are one block from the MRT station which is clean, cheap and efficient, there is a 7-11 right next to the hotel to top up your room with wine and snacks etc. You are a short walk from the Raffles Hotel and Raffles city shopping and eating complex, 15 minutes walk from Little India and Kampogn Glam and if you take a right from the hotel you will find Orchard Road. The hotel itself is a good one, the rooms have all you would expect, breakfast was good, the bar and restaurant looked OK but didn't use it as there is so many options in Singapore, but as a base for exploring its hard to beat.

This is a GREAT hotel. The location is perfect. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing. I was celebrating a milestone bday and received a delicious slice of cake and a card from the hotel. I recommend staying in one of the Club rooms. You will enjoy free drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the Rendezvous Lounge each evening of your stay. This hotel does not disappoint!
