The Copthorne King's Hotel in Singapore garners appreciation for its elegant traditional vibe and tranquil atmosphere, despite the rooms sometimes being characterized as dated. While the Executive Club Lounge and cleanliness receive positive remarks, the lack of variety at breakfast and need for room updates are called out by some guests.
The central location is a hit for ease of access to local attractions, and while the service is generally commended for its professionalism, there have been instances of inefficiency. Opinions on value are divided, with the hotel's affordability being both praised and criticized.

Nice clean hotel which is close to China town and as they were celebrating their new year it was a perfect time to visit.
We stayed in room 602 which was well equipped with toiletries, hair dryer, air conditioning and free water.
The breakfast was good for us with cereals, toast and cooked but the highlight was watching the egg robot make my fried eggs although once it got it wrong most of the time it was perfect.

Stayed 7 nights in a Club room. Club room not as spacious as expected. Had to move rooms as thick paint thinner smell invaded the room due renovations on our floor, woken up at 7am by drilling and hammering. Needed a light above mirror in bathroom. Room attendant did make up the room quite late in evening as we went out late which was a good thing. However needed to replace the glasses more regularly.
Bed quite hard but pillow menu adequate. Aircon worked really well.
Actual club lounge could have had more food options. Drinks service was pretty good though

We arrived after a long flight about 23.00;on a Sunday only to be told that it was not possible to get a drink or coffee in this allegedly four star hotel. We were advised to go and find a bar!
The room was adequately furnished but quite old fashioned. Air conditioning was controlled centrally and never dropped below 22.5 which was not cool enough. Breakfast in the restaurant was reminiscent of a school canteen but the Club Lounge was much better.
We were allowed a late check out which was good. Apart from the first person we encountered on reception the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful.
About a 20 minute walk to nearest station but taxis are cheap and we also used the courtesy bus a couple of times. Conveniently located for a Chinatown.

Enjoyed 2 nights' stay at this great hotel. All staff very helpful and courteous and the hotel is spotless from the spacious, marble floored entrance lobby to the rooms and bathrooms. We were upgraded at no extra cost to a room overlooking the front of the hotel, with a tiny balcony. The bed was comfortable, bed linen perfect, the room quiet and the bathroom superb. Breakfast was buffet style and included every possible food a visitor from anywhere in the world might require! I needed help printing out our boarding cards and this was immediately available, the IT man extremely helpful. Concierge service was excellent. There is a small area, down 2 steps, for travellers to await their onward transfers. I was thirsty one evening and had a lime juice from the bar, which I thought extremely expensive but, not being big drinkers, we're unfamiliar with bar prices. On our final day, we also ate a light lunch in the small restaurant/cafe/coffee shop at the front of the hotel, which was excellent and good value...fruit platter very good. We would recommend this hotel and will definitely use it again if we return to Singapore.

You get a good vibe from this hotel, as soon as you arrive the staff are helpful and friendly. We arrived early and were prepared to leave our bags and have to return to check in later, however, we were thrilled to find out the room was ready and we could go straight up. After two flights from England we were over the moon to hear this. We’d paid for an upgrade to a balcony room, which was great, only the balconies are very small meaning you are unable to sit out on them. If the doors opened inward it would leave a lot more room to be able to access the balcony.
The room was clean and comfortable, it had plenty of light and felt open and airy. We immediately put the kettle on and had a tea (all provided by the hotel) and got to grips with the room, discovering all it had to offer.
We had breakfast included in our stay which was delightful. There was a great choice of all breakfast items, Eastern and Western, making the morning meal a process of great discovery. The pancake machine was delicious and I had the chocolate cereal each day (still miss that cereal!), it really had everything you could want.
We found the staff amiable and only had one issue (we paid for late check out which was advertised in the room literature as 6pm but on the reception desk it was 5pm. The stated time of 6pm was given to us though after some quibble), the issue was rectified quickly though.
The pool facilities were great for a night time dip and the laundry facilities were a life saver. It’s great to have the option of the hotel cleaning your clothes for you or the access to do it yourselves.
There is a petrol station located a few doors down from the hotel, which is a really handy place to pick up milk and snacks. There is a fridge in the room to store milk should you need to.
All in all a very decent hotel, great location and easy to get to. It was lovely and quiet too! We would certainly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay their again. We stayed for 4 nights in total which was great.

This isn't my first time staying in this hotel, but this could very well be my last time. For all the previous stays, the front desk staff have always been very accommodating to my requests. Such as a room with balcony, because this is one of the reasons why I choose this hotel. But sadly this time, I was chucked into a small room on the 3rd floor, with no view, ans facing the dumpster. The bathtubs was so small, most likely suitable for very very short individuals.
Bottom line, very disappointing stay. The staff could be having a bad day himself. But he ought to provide a better room for me.

So we originally booked for a deluxe queen bed with balcony. A few days before we arrived I had an email from the property confirming my booking which then said the room we had was an executive club with queen bed, so we thought we could have maybe been upgraded. Once we got to the room it was the original room we booked (oh well) but we noticed it looked different to what we expected. There was a double bed and a single bed (for 2 people that booked a queen that seems excessive and the picture on the website has a double bed plus sofa, plus it states there is a seating area on said website) plus the balcony door was locked (why book for a balcony if you can't use it??). So we went downstairs to ask why there wasn't the double bed with the sofa like in the pictures especially as we would like to sit in our room as it's just the two of us. The person at reception said those rooms were only left on the smoking floors so we had to deal with the "upgrade" of an extra bed they gave us (sorry but an extra bed when there is only 2 of you instead of a sofa is not an upgrade) or deal with a smelly room. I then asked why we got a confirmation email of the executive room and they said there was an error in the system that sent the emails, but I asked why they didn't point that out when I checked in or why they didn't send another email to those affected with the wrong email and they shrugged / offered no explanation and made me forward the email that was sent to me to one of the managers that never even came out to talk to us or remedy the situation. We then asked to have the balcony door open as we paid extra for this for which they asked us to sign a waiver form for, which I also asked why this wasn't pointed out at check in. In all of this, not once did either of the receptionists apologize or seem to care. Upon returning to the room there was also no soap to wash your hands with (even more wasting time calling up housekeeping) and only one bathrobe but 3 bed spaces?! Needless to say we will definitely never stay here again, from the room quality to most importantly the lack of customer service.

On arrival for a two night stay, on our first ever visit to Singapore, we were met by the very friendly and helpful reception staff. Although we were very early for check-in, the staff allowed us to check in early to our lovely top floor room, which had a fantastic view of the skyline. The room had recently been refubished to a very high standard. It was very clean and had all the amenities you would expect from this type of hotel. The room was very large with a lovely large bathroom.
The hotel is in a great central location, within easy walking distance of Robertson Quay, Clarke's Quay and Chinatown.
Although we only spent two nights here, if we ever had the chance to visit Singapore again, we would definitely book this hotel again.

Our two weeks stay in Singapore was like home. Greeted by Gadafi at check-in, was the start of one an experience one could only dream off. He not only gave a nice newly renovated room, but everytime he was on, would always give us the widest smile, and of course say 'welcome back!', as if he was always waiting for us to come back, no matter the time, and always striking a conversation. Questions and recommendations were always answered promptly by the team. The homey feel that he and the team gave was truly an amazing experience, despite the ongoing situation in Singapore. The breakfast could be better with more options, but service made up for it throughout the two weeks. What surprised the most was the call he gave the day before we left, as he was not working the next day, just to bade goodbye to us. Will return to this 2nd home few months to come, and hope to see the same people again soon.

Never saw member of staff smile (only one lovely doorman). Restricted coffee in room - not provided at all on second day and when requested brought 1 capsule. No kettle for tea. 1 toilet roll in the bathroom. Towel of poor quality and 2 bath and 1 hand towel - not good enough for this standard of hotel. We had requested late check out as part of special deal, only got until 2 pm instead of 3 pm and our key cards were cancelled early. We had a club room with access to the Club Lounge which closed at 10 pm. As we were arriving on a late flight we thought it was somewhere to get a drink and chill out but we were too late.
