Very, very nice place to stay for business of pleasure. Look forward to returning to the Shangri-La after a long day. The people are great, food is excellent and the health club and pool are one of the nicest in Singapore.

Shopping is a national pastime for Singaporeans, and after a visit to Orchard Road it’s easy to see why. This seemingly endless boulevard boasts a dizzying selection of shopping centres. From bargain basement foragers to designer label big-spenders, there is something for everyone. For those just browsing, there are countless restaurants, food courts, and cinemas, as well as the odd street entertainer to keep you
amused. Most of the malls are connected by underground walkways, offering a break from the sun on a hot day. Bring a credit card and some comfortable shoes, and plunge into the excitement.

The shuttle is free but only runs on the hour and takes you to a number of spots including Orchid St and the shopping centre. The HOHO bus is on Orchid street outside Starbucks there is no sign that states this but it definitely picks up there. We walked there and it took 10 minutes. We booked a deluxe room in the Valley wing but were upgraded on arrival to a suite...this happens alot so i have heard...but i suppose depends on availability. Totally recommend any room in Valley Wing it includes everything...we didnt buy any meals at all...lots of canapes, high tea etc. hope you enjoy your stay!
