Great value for Singapore if you book online. It is not cheap, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed was amazing! We upgraded and got a room with a balcony which was a lot of fun. Rooms are small, but is what you would expect for a boutique hotel in a big city! Included breakfast was a great deal...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Upon sticky beaking the front desk I noted the regular tariff at $280 per night. We paid $139 booking.com for a superior double. I would have definitely not paid the regular trariff based on the room offered. I was quite dismayed when I opened the room door. The photo's on their advertisments...

Situated in the chinatown area. Walking distance to most of the attractions. The hotel itself looks simple but nice. Staff was nice and the breakfast was great too. The housekeeping however was terrible. They didnt make our room and we had no shower gel and toothpaste. Quite disappointed.

The room was very tiny I did not have much space to move around with my suitcase, however it was cute and clean. It's in the heart of Chinatown Singapore near to the MRT station with easy access to many shopping districts. Also very close to the Buddha tooth temple which you can hear them celebrating early in the morning.

Love love love the location of this hotel; easily walkable to/from the Outram Park MRT station and smack in the middle of a beautiful stretch of "old Singapore" --renovated shop houses that have been turned into chic and trendy restaurants and bakeries. But. The hotel facilities are old and overall lack a higher standard of cleanliness and polish. Worst: you...

Well, that was the smallest room i've ever lived in with the shower just over the toilet =D Stayed there on my way back from Asia trip just for one day. I was looking for: - Good location in China town - Ok price - Breakfeast (it could be costly in Singapore) - Possibility to leave the bags after check-out...

We arrived at the hotel after a 20 hours long journey and we were looking forward to have some rest in our room. Unfortunately the lady at the reception said that we could check in only 5 hours later (namely at 3 pm), despite I had explicitely ask for an early check-in in my reservation. In the meanwhile we had...

Hotel 1929 is a hip boutique in the heart of Chinatown. It was probably a tenement or boarding house, but it's been updated nicely. The rooms are super small but if you're lucky, you'll get one of the few with a tiny balcony. There really is no place to open your luggage except on the floor. The toilet is in...

Very nice and clean hotel although the rooms are small. The staff is really helpful and there was a small misunderstanding from our end and they gave us the room till the evening instead till noon for no extra charge. Breakfast was very good especially the egg benedict! It's a must try! Thanks for everything guys we really appreciate!!! :)

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
