Nestled in a prime location near the MRT and various attractions, Novotel Singapore on Kitchener is celebrated for its convenience. While the atmosphere may be considered functional with a nondescript style, guests commend the hotel for its exceptional cleanliness and spacious rooms. The amenities, including kettles and filtered water, add to guest comfort, though some warn of additional charges for extras. Service quality appears to vary, with reports of both attentive staff and less satisfactory encounters. Room comfort is generally praised, but noise and cleanliness can be concerns, and the value proposition is debated due to various extra fees.

Very Friendly Staff. They kindly upgraded our rooms to the next level up. Rooms were spacious and our views were decent. The rooms were clean, had comfortable beds, and a small fridge that we could fill up. The whole hotel was maintained well. There is a hospitality lounge with bathroom access to wait at if your room is not ready or you are waiting for a ride. There was a lift available in case the stairs are not easy to manage and there is a belt to bring your luggage up to the top of the steps.

Mustafa Center is a 2-3 minute walk away and there is also a mall across from the hotel with a grocery store (City Square Mall). The breakfast buffet is a better deal if you reserve it with your room. Breakfast buffet has so much in terms of variety. There was South Indian foods like Medhu Vadha. There were dumplings, noodles, congee with condiments, fresh fruits, pastries, and gluten free toast upon request.
The concierge, his name Started with an A. He was so helpful and arranged our transportation for when we departed the next day as well as provided luggage storage for us while we explored the area. The Front desk was also very helpful with our questions and helped us with directions to local sites as well as suggestions of places to visit. The transportation reserved for us was wonderful. It was a slightly older, but well maintained and very clean limo-bus and it was the same price as a maxicab which for us was great because we had some larger pieces of luggage and we didn't want to squeeze into a small cab if possible. If you do need umbrellas and a local map, the concierge will also provide those upon request.

Firstly let’s be clear, this hotel is smack in the middle of Little India so expect the clientele to be 90% from the diaspora.
Check in staff were efficient, particularly Joseph, but there was something of a wait which could have been alleviated if they had a check in specifically for Accor members.
We upgraded our room to a Deluxe corner room but it turned out there was no advantage in either size nor outlook as the room had only one very small window.
Only used the restaurant for breakfast and found it to be disappointing compared with the normal Novotel facility. To the point where I would suspect it was contracted out to an external supplier. Fried eggs were piled in a heap on a large plate, though I insisted on fresh eggs that were supplied but I felt it was done so reluctantly. Many hot choices were tended to be Indian biased to suit the clientele but there was sufficient variety to find an acceptable meal.
On settling the meal tab there was a preference to pay up front rather than charge to the room and I was offered a 5% discount to do so.
Back to the room, we were unable to find any power socket in the bathroom for the hair dryer nor was there a socket anywhere near the mirror in the room.
The room was clean and sufficiently spacious and the bathroom had a large shower.
There was, however, a distinct smell in the hallway of curry cooking which in itself didn’t worry me but one did have to speculate what might have been used to heat or cook the food in the room!
Overall the facilities were acceptable but the overall experience could have been improved.

Hi H1ghveldt, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your stay experience at Novotel Singapore on Kitchener. We appreciate your valued feedback, as it is through such, that we are able to take measures to improve various aspects of the stay experience with us. We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed the efficient service provided by our team members, especially the warm hospitality extended by Joseph. However, we are disappointed to hear that the other aspects of your stay were not up to your expectations, including the configuration of our Deluxe Corner Room, the lack of power sockets in certain areas, the ambience and scent of your surroundings, and the dining experience at the all-day dining restaurant, CALI . While the all-day dining restaurant, CALI is managed independently by our F&B restaurant partner, we would like to assure you that we will be sharing your feedback with them so that they can improve the dining experience for our guests. Thank you once again for your valued feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an improved stay experience in the near future.

We were two families visiting Singapore with our kids to enjoy the Singapore Grand Prix (which I loved because Ferrari won :D). So before we headed off to Sentosa island/Universal studios we stayed at the property on Kitchener Road for 2 nights to enjoy the tourist attractions within the city i.e. Bird Paradise/Singapore Zoo, Gardens by the Bay, Sands Sky Observation Deck etc.

We came off a 9 hour long one hop flight and reached about 11 am in the morning and the front desk staff was kind enough to check us in early. The front desk staff, housekeeping and the other staff seemed to be very friendly and helping overall. Helped me with the right directions to the market and find the right SIM card.

The best part of this hotel is the location, right behind the property is Mustafa Shopping Center which is gigantic shopping center that houses almost everything under the sun. Add to that Little India is nearby and a shopping mall right opposite the hotel. Especially if you are a vegetarian you will find ample options in Little India district to eat and enjoy. Also the MRT station is nearby so you can commute around the city without hassles.

Swimming pool is great and especially given the weather in Singapore we use to enjoy our late night swims before dinner after a fun filled day of activity and sight seeing.

I would like to take a special mention here of Alex, the F&B Manager in the restaurant for his exceptional customer services, excellent people skills and above all he understands the true meaning and purpose of hospitality. Thank Alex you made our stay delightful.

At the same time we had Phoebe who made our dinner time after a long day at Singapore Zoo and Bird Paradise extremely unpleasant and inconvenient. Majority of the people in our group felt her behavior was underlying racist and very unbecoming who works at such a professional hospitality brand. The restaurant manager tried to pacify us with complimentary beverages but we turned it down. We raised the same with the management not sure what was the outcome of it as we got the typical corporate reply that we are looking into it.

The restaurant staff for breakfast and lunch were amazing. Alex once again superstar of the restaurant staff. The breakfast menu covered items for everyone in our group as we had kids who preferred only eggs and sandwich, continental and bakeries for the men and vegetarian for the ladies.

The stay was comfortable and good, have no complains about it but the dinner incident at the restaurant left us with a very bad taste.

First of all if you are looking for hospitality at this hotel then u are at wrong place. The staff is very very rude. They ask SGD100 for early checkin otherwise they will allot u room @3pm only. So whosoever will pay extra can only get room early. The staff is heartless the children were travelling since last 24 hrs and arrived hotel at 6 am but they were asked to pay extra else wait till 3 pm.
Moreover no welcome of guest. No welcome drink. They treat guests as their enemies (can reckon by the way they deal with guests).
We had early checkout at 6am and we have paid for the breakfast but we were denied even a cup of tea @6am because breakfast starts @6:30am.
Other hotels such as holiday inn provides packed breakfast for their guests who have their flights early in the morning.
On the top of that the room condition is pathetic. The AC water was leaking from the ceiling at 12am in the night. Attaching pic of the same.
So please don’t waste your money in staying such a pathetic hotel.
The hotel staff “VITA” was allotting rooms during checkin as per her own will and choice and whosoever was paying extra dollars. Such a behaviour from 4star property is not at all acceptable.
There is no politeness in the voice of the staff. They charge hefty amounts as security deposits and too without any criteria.

Well well most hyped and worst hotel in singapore i must say where staff is rude, nothing for accor members as hotel has their own rules. Resturant staff is more illetrate, nothing extra in food options for indians.
If you are accor member and ask for accor benefits they says we are thord party restaurant and we will do what we will want to, you can do anything you want and accor support team seems useless regarding this matter.
Fooling indians to major extent. They have done such hype in india regarding this hotel is best for indians. Reality must be tour agents getting good commision for sending indians here. Hotel is fully occupied always where breakfast rates are much higher and plates spoons are always missing with half an hour ques all over. Non veg and veg are all put nearby. Hotel rooms are just like bathroom sizes. Front staff is only intrested to make us listen but when we have some problem they are silent.

Hotel is nothing more than 5000 rs but asking for 17000 average prices beacuse of tour travel agents hype

A bit of a mixed experience with our stay at ParkRoyal, we arrived early morning and I had already spoken to the hotel about paying for early check in which they told me would be possible if rooms were available.

I checked the day before and there were plenty of rooms available so assumed it wouldn’t be an issue. On arrival I was told it would not be possible to check in till 3pm, we arrived at 8:20am so six hour wait. I mentioned to the gentlemen on reception that there was a number of rooms available on booking.com the previous night, but he told me that did not matter so we had to wait.

Low and behold 10 minutes later a room became miraculously available and we paid for the early check in, roughly 60GBP.

The rooms were nice and clean, we were only staying for 3 nights, although we came back after being out all day on our final day and our room hadn’t been cleaned although we had our service light on, we had to call reception for fresh towels and toilet roll, not impressed with that.

The location for transport is good, farrer park station over the road and the metro is so cheap and easy to use, and there is a hop on hop off your bus station nearby too.

Other than the transport links, the location really wasn’t the best for us, a little too far out the city for our liking, and if we are to travel to Singapore again, we will pay extra and be more central.

Fantastic Stay @ Newly Renovated and Rebrand Novotel Kitchener Singapore
My family of 3 stayed at newly renovated and rebranded Novotel Kitchener Singapore in January 2024. The family room has a King Bed and single bed with large windows overlooking the city view. Very clean, comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. MRT is across the road and very convenient to connect to Orchard Road and the City. 24 Hours Mustafa Shopping mall is 5 minutes’ walk. Some restaurants and bars are nearby to discover the Little India. You can get a $10 SIM card next to the hotel and $3.80 Chicken rice restaurant behind the hotel is delicious. Hotel is busy with guests and many thanks to Duty Manger Thomas and General Manager Andrew Lee for our fantastic stay at this beautiful Novotel Kitchener Singapore. We will be back for our next visit.

We, the family of 3, travelled to Singapore from 21st to 28th December. Novotel on Kitchener was recommended by our travel agent and it was booked for us after our consent.

Before reaching Singapore, we had read mixed reviews about this hotel & to be frank, I was little apprehensive about our stay. But to our great relief, our stay of 7 nights in this hotel happened to be quite pleasant.

We reached Novotel on 21st morning & check-in was not before 3.00 pm. Even though, they gave us the room at 1.30 pm. Check-in process was smooth. After getting the room, they immediately provided the extra bed & all the additional things like towels, pillows, toiletries etc, which were required for the third person (my daughter) in the room.

The rooms are sufficiently big. Hotel is quite big, but everything is spank clean. Hotel is highly automated. House-keeping is done on time, contrary to what I had read in reviews.

Breakfast is nice, quite a large spread and sufficient options for vegetarian people. They serve Indian dishes, too, which are quite tasty.

At least in our experience, nearly all the staff is polite & helpful (except one person in dining room & one check-in clerk, though I couldn't catch their names).

The hotel is located in Little India, so there are many Indian restaurants & market in walking distance.

Overall, our stay in Novotel on Kitchener was quite pleasant.

Overpriced hotel.
They don't provide basic things like moisturizer and other toiletries are refilled instead of complete jackets
When I checked into the room, found shower gel was missing. This is a basic requirement and should be checked before the next customer checks in.
Loud noise made by AC
Attitude of most staff in the restaurant in rude. If asked for basic things like whether tea will be refilled, they don't bother to reply.
Worst staff in concierge area by the name Mr Arnaldo Rivera. Stay away from him if you don't want to ruin your experience. His language is very bad and he is very rude.
At the time of check out, when I gave him the luggage acknowledgement for returning the luggage he said, he is not responsible. There was no staff managing the concierge desk.
The reception staff just said, check with concierge desk.
As I was in a hurry, I picked my luggage and suddenly this rude guy Mr Arnold appeared and accused us of intrusion and in a very rude manner.
In short, just don't go by the location of the hotel, there are much better hotels for the price of this hotel.

I believe the rooms provided are similar to rooms which we took as a non club Mahindra member. The breakfast prices are not known to me but I believe club Mahindra guests are entitled for BF and we found BF matching to Indian requirements and taste.
