Strongly encouraged if one is to search for vibrant locales. The hotel is infused with cultural details to reflect the locale and experience which are truly authentic The hotel is equipped with full range of facilities which one is spoiled for choices; laze swim or sun bathe at the swimming pool, workout in the gym, pamper oneself with spa treatments, drinks and meals at the bar and restaurant. Outside and near to the hotel at Kampong Glam, there are many / varied restaurants and shops which one can savor most popular treats and to buy souvenirs respectively. Compliments must also be given to hotel staff who were friendly, helpful and served with passion and smiles. They are certainly an asset to the Organization. Stayed here for 5 nights in an executive orchid club room (Our 2nd visit). The hotel has an ideal location with all things easy to walk to (which we prefer to do!) Marina Bay Sands is approx 20-30mins walking.City hall raffles etc only 5-10mins. The room was on the 6th floor and gave us access to the executive lounge which provides tea coffee soft drinks throughout the day FOC. Between 6-8pm alcoholic drinks cocktails etc and a selection of food again FOC. This was excellent, However a special mention must go out to the reception team/ladies on 6th floor who were outstanding in every way and ensured everything we needed was attended to and always took time to ask if there was anything we needed or they could do for us This made us feel that little bit special.The room itself was excellent serviced daily and immaculate every time we returned.It also had a huge 65" Modern TV on the wall.Continental Breakfast could be taken in the executive lounge in a more intimate setting or downstairs in the main restaurant which provided a large range of hot and cold foods for everyone.All of which were excellent A further special mention must go to Michael Noe Senior Duty Manager who made us feel like royalty by the extra attention he gave us. This is a hotel that by Singapore standards isnt too expensive but provides a level of service far in excess of what you would expect at this price point. We will return!

Great stay at this hotel! We reserved a 1 night stay on a Sunday, 3pm check-in and guaranteed 4pm check-out the next day. We arrived there at around 2:30 and we were informed that our room was not ready yet. The receptionist told us that she will call us if room is ready. We waited in the reception area which is suprisingly spacious and has comfortable seats. More than 1 hour has passed, no calls/msg from the receptionist so my wife decided to fall in line again (as there were many guests checking in) and they confirmed it’s ready.
Our deluxe room (king bed) was very nice and clean. We appreciated the effort for the simple decoration and chocolates provided in our room for our anniversary.
Big points for the water filter in the room to eliminate the use of plastic water bottles. Aircon temperature can be controlled. Strong water pressure in the bathroom. Everything we needed were provided.
There are a lot of restaurants, bars and cafes around. This hotel is good for the price due to its location. You will never get hungry and can try different cuisine around the area.
One thing, if you need to work, there is a workstation in the room with LAN connection but better to inform the hotel when you reserve so they can check the connection. My wife got problem with connection and informed the staff. They sent us the IT manager “Benny” to fix the issue. Appreciated his effort to fix the connection. He really tried to find the problem and solve it. Amazing.

Booked one night in the Orchid Club Deluxe room which comes with breakfast and all dining in the room. When checking in, we had to select our breakfast out of 4 choices and indicate the time to have it served. Despite informing them that dinner can be served at 6pm, they were late and I only received it at almost 7pm. There was tomato soup, salmon and cheese pasta served with desserts. It was quite a spread so I won't advise that you have dinner outside having this. At about 6pm, a knock came on the door and we were greeted by a staff member with a trolley serving wine, juices and sodas and some snacks like cashew nuts and Doritos. She informed us that she would be returning in half an hour to see if we needed anything else. This was an odd time to be serving snacks and drinks cos guests would be eating dinner which is served from 6 to 8pm. I was also surprised because when I asked about refreshments at the check in since we chose a club room, I was told that I could only ask for juices and sodas and there were no snacks. The deluxe room is spacious and the bathroom comes with a rain shower. I like the tap because the temperature has been set to 40 deg C and it is the first time I didn't have to fiddle with the tap to get suitable temperature. There is also a kind of ledge which serves as a seat so after a tired day of walking, I think guests would appreciate sitting under the rain shower. There is also filtered water so we can refill our water bottles. The room comes with an artefact and it is different in each room. There is also a couch with a table for dining. The gym and pool are at level 4 and according to my daughter who is a gym fanatic, this was one the best hotel gyms she has visited. I think she was referring to the kind of equipment available, including a body composition analysis machine. I didn't like the pool because I am not a confident swimmer and the shallow end was already 1.2m. There are also no 'edges' along the perimeter of the pool so there was nothing I could hold on to to pull myself up. Nevertheless, there were enough deck chairs to rest on around the pools. There were no club benefits here as drinks in a fridge at the poolside were chargeable. So without a club lounge and limited club benefits, I guess I couldn't enjoy my staycation as much as I would have liked to.

Stayed for a night and came this time for the festive lunch buffet. The buffet is the most worth mentioning here. Looked through reviews of a few hotels and decided to come here because we ate their festive dinner buffet a few times previously. I was a little worried about the difference in the variety of food since there was a price difference between lunch and dinner buffet..
I am glad I did make the wrong choice. We were actually in for a shock with their spread of dishes which seemed even better than the dinner buffet. Being extremely picky eaters, my son and I were able to find different types of food to our liking. I especially love the cereal prawns, except it was too spicy so I dare not eat the cereal bits. The prawns were fresh and big and very well flavoured. I don't even need to take a single prawn on ice! I didn't eat the chilli crab but I tried the fried buns which were crispy and yummy. Their tempura was nice and crispy and not oily at all.
My son loves the chicken rice and had a few servings of it. The chicken is very well cooked as well with sesame oil at the side too. The staff were walking around constantly, checking on which dishes require topping up. Food was readily available throughout our 1 hour stay there.
A few points that pull down the buffet below excellent, the turkey was chopped like roasted chicken instead of carved. I understand that there is no carving station for lunch but it would really be better if your chef can help to carve out into thin slices and leave it there because the chopped turkey is very hard. Thinly sliced turkey taste really nice. The hot water dispenser is faulty and should be replaced. When we use the hot water dispenser, the water sprays out in different directions and my hb accidentally burnt himself while taking the hot water. After he told me that, I stood really far away when I was dispensing hot water and saw that it was indeed too dangerous. If I had stood nearer, I would have gotten burnt too. The chicken corn soup was tasteless. It was just like drinking plain water and the dishes could be cleared faster. We piled up at least 3 plates before a staff came over to clear the plates away for us.
Price here is indeed more expensive than some of the hotels I researched on but with this food quality and spread, I;ll definitely come back again!

Check in is smooth, however front desk officer can do better. As we are staying in club room. So not much was intro what we can be expected (when check-out notice we have a welcome Chinese tea session which was not told) also check with front seat does the Swiming pool need to book. According to him, no booking needed upon reaching the swimming pool the staff over there say we need to book in advance luckily the pool not much people so they allow us to register on the spot, great pool view. Love the room, comfortable and good balcony to relax. No bottle water is given as there is distill water in the bathroom. However staying in club room you can request for non alcoholic drink 24/7 .Set dinner was serve to the room. Taste is good non refillable. Alcoholic drink and nuts/nacho is serve from 6-8pm (4 session, each round maximum 4 alcoholic drinks). During happy hour (6-8pm) Maersk n Christina is very helpful and answer to my questions. Next day breakfast taste good too. But each pax can only order 1 main. Not to worry for big eater as you may order the bread unlimited. Overall I gave 4 star as I felt some of the staff in the hotel is doing their job only. Just a few I met is going extra mile to make your stay a present one.

We stayed in the Orchid Club premier room (booked a deluxe and opted for a slightly more affordable option for upgrade, will be notified and charged at the desk if rooms are available)
It came with a balcony and was fantastic! This room offered a lovely view of the Singapore Flyer with no obstruction.
Thank you to Lynn for checking us in so swiftly and to Maezel for your impeccable service during cocktail hours.
We were slightly disappointed when we found a strand of hair in one of the pillow while exploring the room for the first time. There was a housekeeper on the floor so we brought our pillow to him for an exchange, he was apologetic and changed it quickly. We didn’t found the need to raise this matter as the rest of the room was clean. However, with COVID19 it would be the best to do a more thorough inspection of the room before allowing guests to check in.
We will definitely be back in the future!

Had a short 1 night staycation at ParkRoyal Beach Road and it was a good experience. Booked a Club Deluxe and got upgraded to Club Premier with balcony on the 7th floor. Joe Kok was very nice in giving me a good view room and allowing me to check-in early at 12pm and have a 2pm late check-out. Room is in good quality for a 4 star hotel. Floors look abit tired but other than that, the overall room condition is pretty good.
Food at Ginger Restaurant was overall good. Had lunch and breakfast there and the service was warm and friendly. Food quality was good. Coffee was subpar.
The swimming pool here is sizeable and offered unobstructed views of the Singapore Flyer. The pool is old style with a super deep end of 2.9m and a shallow end of 1.2m. With a sizeable pool, it allows for more people around the pool during this period.
We also had access to the Club Lounge (currently closed)... however the evening cocktails will be served to the room directly. Food is served once (sizeable portion) while drinks come 3 times during the 2 hours. Overall a good experience. But one thing I didn't like was that I didn't get any all day refreshments like other club lounges.
Overall it was a pretty good staycation experience at a 4-star property.

We recently stayed at the park royal on beach road in Singapore. Upon arriving at the hotel the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We checked in, went to our room and found it to be very clean and spacious. The bathroom was spotless and was a good size as well. We had the buffet breakfast included in our package and it was one of the best buffet breakfasts we have had at a hotel in a while. There was a lot of variety to choose from. Toward the end of the trip, I came down with a virus, my partner alerted the staff that I may need medical attention, The hotel staff were great in helping me. They organised a taxi to take me to the raffles hospital and when I returned they checked in and were very helpful with anything I needed to make my stay while being sick more comfortable. The staff at the hotel are so kind and very lovely people, including the staff that make up your rooms everyday. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to family and friends.

I had a queen size bed which I think was two doubles connected together. It was absolutely huge, so don't think you'll have a problem with the bed or room size at the Park Royal.
There are more places to choose from in the Singapore area.
