When we arrived, Catherine at the front office immediately recognized me and greeted me by name. It has been a few months since our last visit, so needless to say I was impressed. Check in was wonderful as always. For context, we are IHG One Rewards members with Diamond status which allows us to choose an amenity upon check in, so we chose complimentary drinks in the Opus Bar.
We have also achieved the Club Lounge Access level through Milestone Rewards (part of the IHG One Rewards program), so indeed a very nice perk. Because of that, we could have breakfast in either the Opus buffet downstairs or the Club Lounge upstairs. We did some of each, and both have wonderful breakfast spreads. No matter the food type you seek, they have something for you. Club Lounge service in the evenings was great. Nice wines and cocktails, delicious canapés, and friendly staff. What more could you want? It was also nice to chat with guests visiting from other places.
On our last trip, we enjoyed Opus so much for dinner that we booked it for both our first and last evenings this trip. The food is wonderful, the service is wonderful and they have a very nice selection of wines. Do not miss the steaks from the grill! Delicious! If you are an IHG Rewards member at any level, you receive 20% off your food bill.
And let's not forget the room! This trip we utilized a Confirmable Suite Night Upgrade (a Milestone Reward from the IHG One Rewards program), that got us upgraded to a very spacious suite. We were at the end of the hall with double entry doors, which tells you upon arrival it will be special. Our suite went all the way through the building, so the living room portion of the suite looked out toward Orchard Road, and the bedroom portion of the suite looked out the opposite way, so we enjoyed some very nice views across Singapore in all directions. The rooms are very large, and this one included two baths (one full, one half), and the full bath had both a large tub and a separate shower. The beds are very comfortable in this hotel.
As in the past, it was a great experience start to finish. It has become, and will continue to be, our goto hotel in Singapore. Already have our next visit booked!

Just finished 10 days stay at the Voco Hotel in Singapore in room 2212 on my recent business trip, and I have been really impressed with the overall experience.
Whilst the hotel might be showing its age in certain places since it switched from being a Hilton a few years ago, the absolute quality of the staff working there completely overrides and minimises anything else.
From the warm welcome at check in, to the excellent housekeeping to the Opus Bar and Restaurant staff -- indeed ALL departments -- deserve praise.
Special mention must go to every member of the Executive Club team who are always cheerful, warm and welcoming and somehow remember every guest's name and preferences in food and drink choices. The whole team deserve every credit, but special mention should go to Rovi and Josephine who make every visit to the Lounge such a happy and fun experience whilst still delivering high quality service and attention to detail.
A great stay at this Voco and I look forward to the next one in September.

What we liked : a) The location of the hotel is super convenient - metro station for 2 lines is a 5 min walk away; many malls & restaurant to stroll into and obviously right on Orchard road. b) The room design & decor was smart & chic. c) Breakfast service was excellent on all 8 days - wide range of options and a very efficient staff to take care of your needs. If you are a vegetarian - you can expect tasty preparations of idly, upma, vada etc. - very authentic taste. d) We liked the dedicated filtered water tap in the bathroom for drinking water - it saved the hassle of asking for more bottles and we found the quality of water safe.
What we did not like : a) Thermostat in the AC in our room did not work throughout our stay. Despite informing the front desk thrice, the maintenance team could not resolve it. Hence we had situations of either a room too cold or too warm. This is one key reason to take away 1 star from what would otherwise be a 5 star rating from us. b) On the day we checked out we had asked the front desk to book a taxi for our airport drop (they encourage and recommend you to book a taxi through their front desk / concierge). The experience was disappointing - when we were ready to go, the front desk staff was uninterested in informing us whether our cab was on the way (though the cab did arrive on time). The cab charged nearly 80% extra than what we would have paid through a Grab or any other metered cab (I had checked the fares while waiting for our cab, hence we knew that we were overcharged at the end of the journey). So an advise to future travelers - you may be better off booking your cabs through Grab rather than the hotel concierge. This is the second reason to take away another star from making this a 5 star review. c) Storage space in the room is rather limited, hence a bit inconvenient for a week long stay.
Ask for a room on a higher floor facing the Thai Embassy - that's a good view out of your window.

Stayed at the Voco for 3 nights.
Rovi checked us in and was very polite and professional. She advised us we had an upgrade and I joked was that because it was my birthday, she wished me happy birthday and gave me a little dragon mascot of the Voco also as it was the Chinese year of the dragon.
She explained a few things to us, all in a very professional and polite way. We also received a token for a fee drink and cheesecake which we enjoyed on our last night.
Jared Lim the concierge was very helpful indeed and nothing seemed to be too much bother. He helped us with information regarding the MRT system and even took us outside to show us the entrance to the MRT. He showed us on the map other options we could use on the MRT. We were very grateful for this and he put our mind at ease as to how easy it is to use. Jared also booked us a taxi for the morning we left. He was very polite and professional at all times.
The rooms are a bit tired and the air con wasn’t working too well but it didn’t spoil our stay there.

We stayed at Voco Orchard for 7 nights is late February. I'd say the location was perfectly located on Orchard Road, with a 20 minute walk to the Botanical Gardens of a morning and a 5 minute walk to the MRT to get you anywhere you need to go in Singapore.
We booked a King room with Lounge Access. The room was clean and a good size & the bed/pillows were extremely comfortable. The only negative was the mechanical whine of the Aircon during the night, which made for a disruptive sleep for me most nights.
The staff were fantastic & the whole Club Lounge team are to be commended for the way they look after you - Kodai, Sabrina, Rovi, Natasha, Sheryl & Ali, our thanks to you all for the friendly and professional way you looked after us :-).
We will stay again on our next visit & would recommend

We booked the balcony club room this time as we wanted to try out the balcony view. Our room was on the 22nd floor which was also the club lounge level. The room was nice as we’d been here before, the additional feature was the balcony. Though the balcony was quite a good size, it wasn’t much, was dated and pretty boring.
Unlike the other deluxe rooms with showers, the balcony club room came with a bathtub which we also wanted. Unfortunately, the bath tub fogs up the entire bathroom and all the walls were wet after we used it, even though the temperature of the water wasn’t very hot. It remained wet long after we’d used the bathroom. We called in the maintenance, who claimed that it was late (around 11-ish pm), and that he will return the next day to fix it. We didn’t check on that as we expected he’d have fixed it while we were out. It wasn’t, and all the walls were very very wet after each bath. Also, the bath screen was too wide, and we couldn’t reach the tap. We had to step into the bath tub to turn on the tap to run water in order to use our own bath salt.
As for the club lounge, the team was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of our afternoon tea, and evening canapes and drinks too. The afternoon tea was really light, as in only a drink and 4 pieces of mini snacks – spring roll, yam ball, finger sandwich and cake. Evening canapes were equally light, but with more drink choices of wine and cocktails. Thank you Sheryl for chatting with us, and recommending us the popular cocktail. The breakfast spread at the lounge had a good selection, and the food was tasty and nice.
We love the location of Voco, and also the professionalism and friendliness of the Voco staff. We will be back at some point hopefully.

Unlike the other deluxe rooms with showers, the balcony club room came with a bathtub which we also wanted. Unfortunately, the bath tub fogs up the entire bathroom and all the walls were wet after we used it, even though the temperature of the water wasn’t very hot. It remained wet long after we’d used the bathroom. We called in the maintenance, who claimed that it was late (around 11-ish pm), and that he will return the next day to fix it. We didn’t check on that as we expected he’d have fixed it while we were out. It wasn’t, and all the walls were very very wet after each bath. Also, the bath screen was too wide, and we couldn’t reach the tap. We had to step into the bath tub to turn on the tap to run water in order to use our own bath salt.
As for the club lounge, the team was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of our afternoon tea, and evening canapes and drinks too. The afternoon tea was really light, as in only a drink and 4 pieces of mini snacks – spring roll, yam ball, finger sandwich and cake. Evening canapes were equally light, but with more drink choices of wine and cocktails. Thank you Sheryl for chatting with us, and recommending us the popular cocktail. The breakfast spread at the lounge had a good selection, and the food was tasty and nice.
We love the location of Voco, and also the professionalism and friendliness of the Voco staff. We will be back at some point hopefully.

We have stayed at voco Orchard Singapore a number of times now and it has come to feel like our "home" in Singapore as we visit often. This stay, however, was not our usual stay. My mother had an annual free night from the IHG Chase Credit Card that was about to expire that she could not use, so she gave it to us to use. Per IHG policy, it is booked in the holder's name (my mother) with the guest who will stay listed as the second guest (me). And with this stay I learned a little quirk or pothole in IHG policy. Even though I am Diamond status with IHG One Rewards and my mother is Platinum status, neither one applies! Because it was booked in my mother's name, my benefits do not apply. Because my mother is not present, her benefits do not apply. So we were the ugly stepchildren for this stay. The clerk did what she could, detailed below, to soften that, but I can't see a scenario where I will ever book like that again.
More bad news from our stay: Our favorite duty manager and our favorite Club Lounge employee, both of whom had taken care of us for a number of stays, no longer work for the hotel. I am hoping they both moved on to fantastic new positions but they were certainly both missed. The clerk checking us in was very kind, and recognized my frustration in trying to understand since all parties had some status with the program and yet nothing applied. She did offer us free breakfast, which I appreciated. We did not use it as I was not looking for something for free, I was just trying to understand the policy and not seeking freebies. We did get an upgraded room to higher floor, and she did allow us late checkout which we took advantage of. She also gave us "Mavis", the stuffed mascot for voco for 2025. As much as I have stayed in voco Hotels, I never knew they had something like this each year.
It was a confusing stay all the way around. We got a note under the door about a missed amenity delivery as we had the do not disturb on. When we called, she sounded confused and said she would check on it. When we got back, we had a birthday cake. It was neither of our birthday, so I can only assume it was misdelivered to the wrong room and someone else did not get their cake. We did miss lounge access this time, and again missed contact with all of the employees in the lounge that we were accustomed to interacting with. It certainly changed our overall stay more than I imagined it would. It is my understanding that there is a new General Manager so it remains to be seen how this will turn out for the hotel long term. We have another stay soon, booked with my status this time, so we are hopeful.
We did go to Backdrop, the speakeasy that is located in the shopping arcade of the hotel. This was our second trip, and even though we were there months ago, the waiter remembered us and exactly where we sat. The food, the cocktails and the service are all superb. Highly recommend!

After reviewing several hotel options for our business trip to SG, we decided to try staying at VOCO Hotel along Orchard Road. The location of the hotel is ideal as we were able to meet customers either at nearby shopping malls like ION Orchard or have dinner in their in-house establishments that was pretty good as well.
Upon checking in, we were greeted by the friendly staff at the Club Lounge like Ali, Rubiah and Kenny and their service level was top notch during our entire stay. In addition, the room was very well kept and house keeping was very prompt to address any of our needs. Kudo to Sandy!
Will continue to stay here and would recommend my fellow colleagues to also give it a try on their next visit.
