Came here for my staycation during the December break. Upon arrival, the lobby looked nice but when we went into the room, the place looked dirty and underwhelming. We tried connecting our switch and computer to the TV but it didn’t work. The phone operator wasn’t responsive when we tried to get help. When leaving the hostel, the security at the counter insisted on checking out my room for any ‘extra’ guests and were telling us off for leaving the air con on. Never returning to this place. Come at your own risk.
This is 2nd stayed here. I recommend this hotel due to reasonable price in Singapore, near from MRT station (5 minutes walking to Bugis stations), easy to find coffee shop for breakfast. Room size same as mostly Singapore hotel but clean and quite (my room). Recomend for you who looking for hotel near Bugis market area.
I stayed at Summer View for 4 nights. The first thing they did when I arrived was take my temperature because of the latest coronavirus situation. My only complaint with the room and service offered was I did not get the free noodles and crisps mentioned by other reviewers! The hotel is very well situated and many city tours collect from outside the hotel. The restaurant offers a breakfast and buffet lunch but no evening meal but there are many eating establishments nearby and a 7 to 11 shop right opposite. Little choice of TV channels but you don't go on holiday to watch TV! Would definitely consider hotel if I ever return to Singapore.
I needed some 3 star accommodation at short notice and found this lace online. My stay was comfortable, the staff were friendly and my room was clean, quiet and comfortable so that it represented good value and in a central location.
We found that the front desk staff gave poor service here. We booked a room that said double or twin and requested a double. On arriving after a long flight we checked in and went to our room, we were given a twin, unfortunately no one had the courtesy of just letting us know we weren’t getting our request on check in. I rang reception and enquired about our room and the possibility of changing to a double. They said come down in the morning and you can swap tomorrow. We went down the next day, the staff in the morning said they did not have a double room and would not have one until the day we checked out. The situation was handled poorly and some simple polite communication would have meant we knew what to expect and it would of been fine. We found this hotel to be the worst that we stayed at in terms of service and the room on our month over seas, even though this was actually the hotel we paid the highest price for. The rooms were modern but poorly renovated and not completely clean, also the shower was unable to keep a consistent temperature. Interestingly despite being called summer view our room had no window. Otherwise, the hotel was centrally located with lovely staff in the breakfast area.…
