I would say the location of this hotel is convenient as it is within walking distance from Rochor (downtown mrt line) and Bugis (east west mrt line) and also eateries. However, the receptions were rude during check in. No greetings and impatient during check in process as we were checking in 3 rooms with my parents (older folks) and kid. On the second day of stay, the reception still had the cheek asking my brother rudely on whether he is a hotel guest when he was accompanying my parents back to the hotel room after dinner. The hotel is considered clean. Guess this is usually the norm in the country 😅. However, the shower water pressure was low and water temperature often too hot for comfort. The room service on the 2nd day was simply tidying up the mattress and clearing the rubbish bin. The hotel should have stated clearly in the booking website if no room service will be provided on the following day. We did not bother to check with the receptions because my family just can’t wait to check out from the hotel. It was raining heavily the next morning. My brother had to borrow an umbrella to shelter my parents to the taxi. The hotel staff didn’t even offer to escort my brother with the returned umbrella after he returned it to the reception at the front door. He had no choice but brave the rain to the taxi. I am so embarrassed and disappointed with my hotel arrangement for my family. I read a lot of reply from the hotel to those low rating reviews/feedback, but seems like the hotel management does not take this seriously and has not done much to improve their services.

We had a surprisingly pleasant stay at this hotel! The rooms were quite spacious, and the housekeeper was very helpful every time we needed help! Bugis Junction is about 10 minutes away by foot. We opted to walk to Orchard Road as well, which took about half an hour but with many sights to see, it made for an interesting walk! Concierge staff were very helpful when we asked for airport transfer arrangements.

No regrets booking Summer View Hotel! The hotel was clean and spacious enough for the 3 of us. The location was very convenient - there were 2 convenience stores and bus stops just across the street, with vending machines just outside the entrance. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful - they even allowed us to check-in earlier when they saw how tired we were. Will definitely book again!

We had a pleasant stay at Summer View hotel. First of all, we love its location. It is only a few minutes from the MRT stop which takes you almost everywhere you wish to visit. It is also walkable to Bugis Junction, about 10 minutes or so. Hotel itself is nice enough, room is of decent size, bed are comfy with good air con and plenty of hot water. If one thing that I would pick on is that there is no wardrobe! We did not mind a basic room, after all it is a base for sleep and wash. We had very good night sleep indeed. It comes with complimentary tea/coffee and snacks. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they would do the best to help you. There is a nice restaurant attached to the hotel where we had lunch. All in all we like Summer View hotel for what we paid and had a nice stay. Yes there are bigger and more fancy hotels around but we would return to this hotel. I would recommend to stay on Bencoolen Street which is pretty near central town area. We bought the 3 days Singapore Tourist Pass for the public transport.

Check in: Poor rating. Unfriendly staff and front desk. Anybody in our group could really tell that they are unwelcoming to tourists which of course is a total nightmare. During Stay: Average. The hotel room is clean and tidy. Bed has a single flat pillow, and I find it not too comfortable to rest. But nevertheless, if solely for sleeping purposes, it is manageable. Check out: Average. Moody staff all the way and would have rated poorly but since they helped out set arrangements for transfers, relatively I would give them an Average Rating. Location: Great location. Very close to Bugis Street. Close to mrt stations namely: Rochor, Bugis and Bencoolen. Overall: An okay stay. Would recommend for the location.

Hotel was very good for our one-night stopover. Our family of five (husband and I, plus 3 big kids) booked two deluxe triple rooms. Rooms are not very spacious, but OK for short stay. There is not a lot of space for luggage. Bathroom was very clean and a good size, and everything worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful and ordered a taxi to the aiport when we left which was very efficient. We didn't use the cafe as we thought there was too much to choose from outside!

Firstly, the location and cleanliness of the hotel is generally acceptable and value of money. However, to sustain the competitive advantage in the hotel industry. I would recommend the management take serious look in customer service management. Here is the case, I have booked their room for my elderly family in Agoda mobile apps. The hotel term and condition didn’t mention “no visitors allowed” at all. Obviously I wouldn’t booked it if there is this condition stated. Because I have an elderly family member with me. However, when we checked in, the staff say they did mentioned in the Agoda website. They suppose the Agoda mobile apps should have it also. But the fact is the mobile apps have mentioned nothing about the “No visitor allowed”. So they asked me check with Agoda. Well, isn’t it the duty of the hotel to make sure the information/ term and condition of the room is consistent in every of its websites, mobile apps platforms etc? The front desk old lady is extremely rude. I think I am not the 1st customer complaint about the rude font desk. As I can see many other reviews has complained front desk lady but sadly the hotel management did not take action of it. So after round and round talking to Agoda, and the hotel. They finally say it is a technical issue so it’s not showing the term “ No visitors allowed” in the mobile apps and they finally agreed we can enter the room and it’s still without any apologies. Although it is a budget hotel, I suppose ? Since they don’t have much facilities. But I hope they understand Customer service is still one of the key factors to retain its customers. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all if they’ve not changed. Please think twice before you book the hotel. Thank you

We recently stayed at this hotel. Reception area is bright and welcoming. Our check-in was dealt with promptly and we were soon our room bound. Access to floors via the lift was based on swiping your room card and then pressing your floor number. Corridors were narrow but were clean and bright. Our room was compact in an L-shaped layout. It had the usual fittings: large double bed, wall-mounted TV, one chair, a wall -mounted counter top, a large wall-mounted mirror. A small under the counter fridge (little storage space) was also provided in the room. There was also an efficient air-conditioning unit in the room with the controls mounted on the wall. There was no wardrobe but two hooks near the bed could be used to hang clothes on. Overall the room was fine as you don’t really spend much time in your room when on holiday. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided but if you like your cups of tea bring teabags as only two are supplied daily. Also, two small bottles of water are supplied daily. Bathroom had a large showering area with excellent water supply. Towels on offer was a bit thin and worn. An issue here is that there is a drain near the toilet that tended to get whiffy at night. Overall a well-lit and clean bathroom. Housekeeping was carried out daily. On the room wall was a display screen where you could select – Make up the Room or Do Not Disturb and your selection was displayed on a screen outside your room. Our room door was heavy so when it was closed when going out or in it really makes a sound. A really secure door!! 24-hour security provided within the hotel and there is a nice friendly vibe within the hotel. Luggage can also be minded when you check-out and have time to spare before your flight. Turning left out of your hotel is the Bugis area direction. Cross the road at the traffic lights and enjoy this colourful vibrant area with lots of eating and shopping outlets. Leaving the hotel mind the step down to the pavement as its height could catch you out. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but there is a café available within the hotel. From viewing the price list it might be a bit heavy on the wallet. For late night snacking there are numerous vending machines within strolling distance from the hotel. Out of the hotel, turn left and make your choice. There is a taxi stand outside the hotel. The Summer View Hotel is a clean hotel to stay in and well worth seeing if it suits your preferred location and budget.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my spouse. I really enjoyed for staying at Summer View Hotel. The hotel is so clean, good size of room (not as small as the other hotel which has same price). The location is easy to reach by Bus and MRT (blue and green line). It was also easy to find food over here.. Finally, the staff is also nice, especially when we were served by Mel.
