Stayed here for a couple of days during Covid times. The room size was average, room was comfortable. TV screen could be bigger. They should add more Indian channels. Food was ok but vegetarian spread was limited and I ended up eating same items for both days. Gymnasium needs serious upgrading. It doesn't suite the hotel at all. Staff attitude could be a little more friendly. They were not rude but could do with a more friendlier approach.

I was lucky enough to stay here for 2 weeks SHN and ALL the staff went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Special thanks to Raymond Lim and his Team. The rooms were clean and comfortable and if I ever ran out of anything it would be immediately replinishesd. They even had a whats app service to ask questions. Thank you Miramar.

Hotel is located centrally near Robertson Quai and easily accessible, this is the main advantage of this hotel. Staff seems to be friendly but is quite rigid and unfortunately not solution focused. Kitchen is average, probably great for Chinese or Malay Singaporeans, but not a match for Indians or Westerners. Wifi is very slow, modem needs to be restarted on a daily basis. Beds are okay and quite large, so is bath room. Rooms are outdated and small and worst of all very dirty, I found hair and food waste everywhere. Difficult to walk barefoot as things tend to stick to your feet. Also not possible to open windows, on request only possible to open max 10 cm. Whole atmosphere is quite depressing, so recommend only for very short stay and very good price, but for sure there are better options around.. This one is a No-Go.

Stayed here for 1 night for a mini staycation in March, after travel restrictions kicked in but before the lockdown started. Paid only $87 on Agoda but without breakfast. Pool was closed because of the virus concerns. We had a decent and quiet room on the 14th floor overlooking the pool. Hotel was virtually empty so there weren't any issues of neighbour noise. Beginning to show its age, but the room we had was in good condition. Fast wifi. Insufficient hooks and towel rails in the bathroom. King sized bed, slightly uncomfortable mattress. Convenient location within walking distance of Tiong Bahru and Robertson Quay. Worth considering at this price level for sure.

Old hotel, but had a very comfortable stay in this hotel. Very good night's rest with blackout curtains in the room. Swimming pool was a bit inconvienient to get to (needed to walk through 2 doors and a short climb up the stairs). The pool itself was a bit small, but quite alright because not many swam when I was there. Had 2 unpleasant incidents though: 1) I had a (not requested) morning call which disturbed my morning sleep, due to the shrill phone call. Reception who called was unapologetic even when I've told her that i didn't request for a morning call and wanted to "check". Sigh. No apology made during checkout, or any other moments too. 2) Swimming pool had many bits of crushed up chlorine tablets on the pool steps and floor. Initially i didn't think much about it, however after swimming and lying on the lounge chair. There were some pieces stuck under my swimsuit and caused a horrible itch/sting. I had to run over to the changing room to shower it out. :( This happened on one out of the 3 days I stayed and swam there. Would have been better if the staff ensure the tablets were fully dissolved int he pool (or label the pool as out of bounds). Pros: - Good location - Accessiblility. Bus stop just in front of the hotel, there's a bus 123 which reaches somerset area (town) in just 5-6 stops (15mins) Very close by! - Large room with comfy beds and pillows - Bathroom had bathtubs (v clean) - Affordable ( got it at a steal $75/night no bf) - Popular Jap (IKOI) and chinese (Peach garden) restaurant in the hotel - Convienence store just beside the hotel (at the petrol kiosk) - TV Channels had HBO and other foreign and local channels Cons: - A bit old - Doors didnt have latch (?), for additional security - Service staff not very attentive, they pretty much stays out of your way - TV slightly small Overall, a very nice stay (if not for the 2 preventable incidents). Would stay again!
