The room was poorly lighted up with a yellow fluorescent light. The chairs and bed were stained. The hair dryer was also filled with dirt. Not to mention, the toilet wall was mouldy as well. If you are looking for a three-star hotel in the area, I would suggest travellers approach other hotels.
Don’t stay if you can avoid it. The building is old, there’s a terrible smell through out the hotel (some rooms smell worse than others due to mold). We had to switch rooms because of the smell. Rooms are very dirty.
Aware that many negative reviews about this hotel, but I've encouraged myself to stayed here because I was interested with its preserved old building, price wise, and location. And after staying for two nights - I can rated that this hotel is ok for me. The location was quite far from mrt station, and the closest one is the farrer park. But should walked about 10-15 minutes to the hotel across the suburban area. Check in / out were promptly and easy, the receptionist staff was given his quick service and also helpful. The lobby area was small but enough and decorated well - with combination of antiques and colorful walls. Price wise : with the price I've paid, i got spacious room (deluxe) with windows, that can't be found at other hotels in the same price range. The…
Spend 2 nights on this hotel during our short visit to Singapore. Me and my wife finds this hotel on the online booking apps. Well, since it is an unplanned and short visit to Singapore, so we pick this hotel based on the location (distance to bus stops and MRT Station), compare with price per nights. And Kam Leng hotel met our criteria. Although I have to stay the room was not luxurious, very small no direct window to your bed, no fancy beddings and the most comfort bed. But at least, Kam Leng can provide our minimum travel requirement. Across the street Bus Stop, 700m from Bendemeer MRT Station (DownTown Blue Line), 7-Eleven across the street, Good Wifi, Good Mobile Signal Reception, Decent Bed, Clean Bathroom, Air-con'ed room. It is sufficient for us. The location is about…
Overall was not too bad; the room was very small, no windows and fairly clean; very nicely located thought, get a lot of noise from the other rooms and people (staff) speaking in the corridors; if you're staying only for a couple of days you could give it a chance otherwise don't bother
