First off, it is now called Phil Inn and not Lofi Inn, though most taxis and regulars still know it as Lofi Inn.This is the first time for us to try a budget hotel in Singapore and we were not disappointed. Everything will be OK if you set your expectations for a budget hotel rather than a 3-Star hotel. We...

Manager has not long taken over the hotel and is slowly upgrading facilities. He could not be more helpful in any way. He was amazing. Our room was right next to a doorway at the end of a coridor and banged all night as people went through. Room was clean. Little old a tired. Room had a couple of little...

I find this inn good. The staffs are so good and very accommodating. The rooms are well organized (i don't know to other rooms). Over all i love their service even though i haven't eaten in their free breakfast because we woke up late everyday. I just want to comment on their security thingy. Yes they have cctv cameras all...

Booked for two nights but wish we could have moved to a different hostel for the second night. The hostel has a new and modern set up but is dirty and unkept. The reception staff were lovely and helpful. But the beds were dirty and there seemed I be someone living in a corner of one room that was sectioned...

Dirty room. Easy to find people living there for a long time. Staff kind helpful. Location is really good, near subway and city center can be reached on foot (around 40 minutes). Room is really dirty, I think there's no cleaning service in there. Be extremely carefully with your stuff, when I was in there a roommate was stolen by...

The guys at the reception were very friendly and helpful. We asked for help a lot, and they assisted us in every possible way they could. Really thankful for them! Thanks guys! Our holiday were made memorable because of you guys. Moving on to the room condition, the dorm was so small (we took the room that can fit eight...

I reached Singapore by taxi from Johor Bahru. The taxi stop is within walking distance to the hotel. You just have to look for Dickson Road or ask around. The hotel is also within walking distance to Bugis, and believe me, Bugis is a very fun and affordable shopping place. There are a lot of restaurants around. We went to...

I liked the location of the Lofi Inn and found it easy to get around Singapore from here, with two train stations and a bus depot in walking distance, and a main road close by that seemed well serviced by taxis. We had a room with four beds (two bunks) and an en-suite bathroom. It was very small but adequate...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
