I stayed at Adler with a friend for three nights. It's such a great place with the prime location opposite the Temples (Chineses and Indian temples) on the south bridge road. Bed is comfy but it'd much more better if the stairs will be not that straight, it's quite difficult to climb up to our bed. Staffs were completely wonderful....

If you don't want to pay the high prices for private rooms etc this is the perfect choice . Each bed has its own curtain a safe , plug sockets and shelves . It's more like a mini bedroom than a bunk . You all get given ear plugs to deal with any unwanted snoring noises ! Can't go wrong...

This is an excellent high end flashpacking hostel in Chinatown. It is near the mosque, easy to find from either Chinatown or Telok Ayer stations. Well signed. Plan on approximately one hour travel time from the airport, depending on train transfer times. You will probably have to change trains 3-4 times depending on the route you take. The hostel occupies...

Is this my 5th stay for the past 3 yrs????? Can't remember.... Adler still maintained her charm after all these time. Had never let me down and is and will be my default place to stay whenever I visit Singapore. Call it a home away from home. That's how comfortable I am with Adler. This eight nights stay is mainly...

First time staying in a Luxury Hostel. When we were looking at booking a hotel in Singapore we were surprised places are expensive here, like really expensive! It's a little frustrating when you're on a budget but that's okay when you're prepared to stay at a hostel. We found this place on booking.com the idea of Luxury Hostel seemed strange...

It was my first experience staying in a hostel/dorm. If you are a solo traveller, this is a great option because you save a lot of money (I stay in the room only for bedtime, so I didn't want to spend much as all hotels in Sing are quiet expensive). The location is super convenient, walking distance to metro station...

Had a wonderful stay. Slept comfortably in our king-sized bed in the mixed dorm. Sheets were clean. Pillows soft and the AC was cold all throughout. Breakfast was filling and delicious.🙂The best part for me was that the Chinatown food street was right across the street.😍sWeet.

Capsule Luxury Hostel. The rooms are very clean and quite. It is a good solution if you are on a budget and want to be into the city centre. Good location, just across the street from Temple street in Chinatown and close to Maxwell food court (great for cheap and great food). Free Wifi.

Travelling to Singapore to review Hotels the Adler was a stop over until I head to Bali. I arrived here from a five star hotel around the corner and if I am honest the service is no different. The Adler have much pride not only in their establishment but the customer service and delivery was second to none. From start...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
