Opening its doors for the first time, The Daulat is a boutique hotel, which caters to both business and leisure travelers with an amalgamation of modern contemporary design and a rich architectural history. With an emblematic interior design across all its 16 rooms, it aspires to accommodate our guests with a unique experience during their stay. The Daulat is located less than 500 meters from Little India MRT station and resides in the heart of Singapore’s foremost Indian enclave. Little India is one of the most vivid, colorful places with an agglomeration of flower vendors, spice stores and Indian fashion wears. Little India historically was part of the Chulia Kampong area. In the initial plans of Singapore by Raffles which, was originally a division of colonial Singapore where Indian immigrants would reside under the British policy of ethnic segregation. The district eventually flourished and evolved to become, what is now known as Little India. Under the British colonial rule the architecture of the buildings then were symbolic of the British influence. The buildings were characteristically known as shophouses. Retailers ran their business from the first floor and their living quarters was the floors above the shop. These designs of the shophouses in Little India range from the Early 1840 to 1900.The fusion of a rich historical installation with modern contemporary facilities and design is what The Daulat cites as general theme for their guests.

This hotel offers average accommodations. The room had the usual amenities (water bottles, teas, kettle...). However, the room was very small, the space in the bathroom even more limited and awkward. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served at their sister hotel a few doors down.

The corner of bedhead was a storage for dust and overlooked to check the shower floor trap with full of hairs. The next door was a Indian disco which played loud music until 3am in weekdays. There is no fridge but it's cool for us. The service was okay. Love the idea of natural sunlight and swimming pool design.

We stayed for 4 nights and we really appreciated the kind and helpful staff, and we found our room to be very nice, if a little small, however the noise from the bars next door meant we couldn’t get any sleep which is why I am giving it such a low score. The staff would get 5 stars, and the room and general presentation of the hotel would get 3 stars, but because of the noise I cannot give it more than 2 stars overall. Also, the pool was surrounded by pigeon poo so I didn’t use it. I’m not sure what they can do to improve the situation as it is out of their hands, other than to move location to somewhere quieter, which is a shame because it could be a very good hotel if in a quieter location (and a cleaner pool)!

First of all this is NOT a 4 star, even booking.com confirm this. This hotel is nothing more than a 2 star. The room allocated (loft room) is so small that the aircon was about 2 ft above the bed and the noise was something you don't need to hear all night. No you cannot turn it off because as soon as you do it leaked as with a lot of aircon units. The breakfast was terrible and not even in the same hotel but a sister hotel down the road. Due to no ventilation, coldness of room (needed) and outside sir temparture meant a lot of condensation, expected but with no fresh air things smell. Severely over priced, over hyped and not worth a visit. There are far better, cheaoer hotels in Singapore. Complaining was a waste of time so book at your own peril

They do all the can to help you, but politeness cannot cover the problems. Rooms are dirty, we had to disinfect them. Breakfast is at the level of an hostel. Swimming pool is terrible with risk of pigeons' excrements. Location is near dance clubs, since there is no sound protection you can forget sleeping until 4am each and every day
