Booked a carlton club room for approx $300+ per night for a birthday staycation. Hotel is a 5min walk away from tanjong pagar mrt station and has restaurants which opens till late, nearby hawker centre and supermarket in the surrounding.
Was given one of the room on the top level which was big, comfortable. Said room came with bathtub, shower and toiletries. In-room mini bar is complimentary with drinks and crackers as well. In-room entertainment came with paid movies too so we are given more choices other than the free channels.
Breakfast and club lounge access was included with the stay. Club lounge has complimentary all-day light refreshments (Drinks, Biscuits and Granola Bar), evening cocktail which features mini buffet and breakfast buffet.
Hotel gave a cake for the birthday guest too. Would love to be back again soon! :)

We arrived at the Hotel quite late for an overnight stay and were very pleased to be able to get a nice meal served to our room. The next day we went sight seeing and left our luggage at the Hotel for later collection. Again we arrived late, hot and weary from our exploration.We were due at the Airport in a couple of hours for a post midnight flight to Europe. On our arrival we were offered the use of a room to shower, change clothes and generally freshen up before the flight. We thought the Hotel facilities and the friendliness of the staff throughout were great, but the use of the room to freshen up before the long flight was absolutely outstanding!

I served a 14 day stay home notice at Carlton City Hotel when I came into Singapore from UK. Truth be told, I have never actually heard of this hotel before. However I must say kudos to the hotel especially because of it’s excellent staff and service. I received courtesy calls every day checking in on me and my needs. The hotel sent up amenities quickly and efficiently. When I had food deliveries, the food was sent up within 10 min of arrival at the concierge. When my office sent me my office equipment, the transfers were done efficiently.
The mandatory swab test was conducted in the hotel premises. The staff was super efficient and professional and we were herded to the appropriate waiting areas and test site in a timely fashion.
I was impressed with the service and a big thank you to the staff is warranted.

We only stayed for 1 night unfortunately, wish it had been longer! We arrived at 9am after an overnight flight & the very friendly Lady on reception checked us into our room immediately so that we could rest. She also gave us a late checkout for the following day as we were on another night flight. The room was spacious & immaculate, very comfortable bed & lovely & quiet. The location was perfect, a few minutes walk from the MRT & opposite an amazing food court with great cheap eats & lovely fresh fruit stalls. Plus all the surrounding streets are full of cafe & restaurants, so there is no issue with finding a wide range of food options. Only a 30 minute walk to Marina Bay Sands & the Gardens by the Bay, so all in all a perfect place to stay! Definitely will be back, Singapore is a fantastic place for a weekend break or stopover & this hotel was just perfect.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic!! Very clean, comfortable and large rooms. The staff are extremely friendly from the reception staff to the porter staff who met us on arrival at the hotel. Breakfast was nice at the hotel and well worth the daily rate which they charge. On one occasion they couldn’t get us in the main restaurant or breakfast so they asked if we could dine on the top floor which we did and it was lovely. Very central hotel to bars and restaurants, 7/11 on the corner of the street also. Love the room concept with the glass panel window from the bathroom to the bedroom, there is a roller blind which you can draw for privacy. Also worth a visit to the sky bar on the 29th floor great service and incredible views of the city. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Staff are super friendly - like most people in Singapore - and the hotel is new and very nice. It is located close enough to most things so taxis are usually $10 to most places and about $15 to the airport depending on premiums. We would recommend to friends.

The purpose of writing this letter is to compliment your hotel staff for their wonderful service. Your staff have used their best efforts to make us feel comfortable stay at your hotel. I was there for 2 days with my family and for all these days I was attended with utmost warmth. I was impressed to see the hotel was well maintained, every need was catered with utmost perfection making us feel so important. I have a rather difficult to pleased personality but yet your staff managed to impressed me.
I've been staying at various 5 star hotel since February as my aim was to support local industries during this period but not all hotel live up to their expectations as Carlton city.
I would like to compliment your entire team for being so professional. With smile on their faces, they have been really very impressive in their service. And I would like to visit your hotel again for this outstanding experience.

A beautiful hotel , well located, with clean comfortable rooms. A steady flow of taxis able to take you to the airport or anywhere else in SG.
Also the rooms are spacious and even have a bath in the bathroom.
You get what you pay for because the rooms are not cheap! But
Only two criticisms are : 1) is that the walls are quite thin and one night I was woken by a crying baby. 2) one night I could not sleep I ordered room service (from the round the clock menu) but my partner was sleeping so I didn’t want to eat it in the room. They would not let me eat it in the lobby and insisted on sending it to the room. I then had to intercept the waiter bringing my food and eat it in a couch on my floor.

Heard good reviews from my peers about Carlton City Hotel but to my disappointment prior my check in at around 3 PM, I was told that I had to wait until 9/9:30 for my room to be ready due to the the unavailability of the rooms because the flight crew have yet to check out. I booked the hotel 3 months in advance and I was told by the staff that the hotel is currently ‘full’. I waited until 8PM and then proceeded to ask the staff when will my room be ready as I was already exhausted waiting for 5 hours and I was told that it be ready at 10 PM. None of them bothered to tell us that they needed additional 30 minutes more to get the room ready, only knew about it when we asked. Out of frustration, I told them that I have booked the hotel months ago & the only reply from him was ‘you’re not the only one.’ No sense of reassurance to the customers at all. We were all waiting to celebrate our new year’s eve, only to know that our last day of 2019 was ruined by the management of Carlton City Hotel.

Book staycay for 3 pax. Their 3rd (rollaway) bed and pillow are as comfortable as their main bed, which is awesome. Location is also amazing, 2-3min walk from tanjong pagar mrt, many food, supermarket, small malls, etc around the area.
Staff were all very friendly, and facilitative to our requests.
We enjoyed the tub in the bathroom (if I'm not wrong their deluxe rooms have choice of with or without tub).
Minor cons but no big deal: Pool is not large (hotel caters more for work travellers than family / young kid staycays, so it's perfectly understandable; it's only a con if you book hotel solely for the pool experience). Tv does not support chromecast/casting from your own devices (not all hotels have this, but I personally find it a plus point/perk when I chance upon hotels that do offer this).
Overall, very pleased with my stay.
Thanks to the polite housekeeping staff (didn't catch his name, but we were on the 18th floor) who noticed our written notes and took initiative to follow up on our request for an extra pillow, and to the reception/call centre staff who facilitated our request to help deliver a 'surprise' cake up to our room.
