This is our second stay at the Perak Hotel. We enjoy staying here and the location can't be beat. Rooms are "cozy," some might say small, others might say tiny. But they spotless and well designed. There is a small safe in the room. There is a nice breakfast buffet in the lobby in the mornings. The hotel has wonderful...

The staff are great.. Extremely helpfull and the location was fabulous. A few cab drivers had problems getting to be place but everyone in Singapore is very sweet and got us where we needed by hook or by crook. You are on the door step of tekka market and you can pick up some great food!

Perak hotel situated in the Little India area where you can feel the special hindu atomsphere everywhere. The small hotel looks like revonated recently and the decoration is very old-Singapore style. There are windows and table/chairs in the corridor for you to look outside at the street if you can bear the hot temperature, so guests usually will have a...

Indian colonial style hotel which is quite homely and relaxing. Comfortable and clean. staff are willing to help. Starts to get noisy from 6am. Breakfast is cereal, toast, eggs and some speciality dish like an omelette each day. Make sure you take full instructions on how to get there as taxi drivers don't seem to know it well. Would stay...

Easy to find with public transport from trainstation. Good location in Little India. The rooms are not large. I had a double standard. It is an old building, but very well kept. The whole place was very clean. The staff was very helpful and and had answers for all questions. Good breakfast in the morning with adequate selection. The wi-fi...

The Perak Hotel is superbly located in Little India, not far from the Metro stop and within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and sights. The room and bed were comfortable (although a bit loud). The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and professional.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
