This is a review of the Superior Room. Hotel 81 (Premier) Star is a small hotel located in the Geylang area. Upon arrival at the hotel, I went to the reception area to check in with the staff. The check in was very fast, it only took less than 3 mins and I managed to check in half an hour earlier than the given timing. ROOM: The room was neat and tidy when I entered, it is small but had a nice look and design. The air con is good and can be cold at times. There are 3 charging ports for those who need them. SERVICES: The WiFi worked great on both mobile and laptops and the TV channels were only local channels. There are no room services in the hotel when I asked but I did requested more coffee packets through the phone and they sent a staff to deliver it to my room so I have to give my compliments and thanks to the fast services. 🌟 The check out timing is at 11 am, which is an hour earlier than average. COMFORT: The bed felt comfortable and I had a great night sleeping here. The shower water was good, it can be hot instantly when you turn it on. The noise pollution was ok, there were some loud hotel guests near my room when I stayed but it lasted for about an hour only, other than that it was quite quiet. AMENITIES: There is a mini fridge in the room that works well, but there are no safes to store your items. Basic complimentary amenities are provided and the shower has a all in one shampoo + bodywash dispenser. OTHER: In terms of accessibility, it's about a minute walk from the nearest bus stop and there are plenty of food stalls and provision stores around so its pretty good and convenient. OVERALL: I had a good time staying at the hotel and I think for the price you can get a good budget room with good services.

We stayed here for an overnight as we had a layover in Singapore. The hotel is nice and clean. Very courteous staff. The check in was quick and simple. Although there was a big group of students that had just entered as we arrived, they ensured not to keep us waiting. The room is nice and clean. Small bathroom but that's what you get for the price you pay. All amenities were provided in the room. Kettle, tea , coffee sachets, dental kits etc. Although the nearest mrt is a few minutes walk, the bus station is stones throw away. We wanted to do a small city tour the next day and the hotel allowed us to keep our baggage in their storage area. Terrence at the reception, was very helpful when we inquired about the mrt routes. Overall, I'd surely recommend the hotel if you are looking for a nice and budget friendly place to stay in Singapore.

The hotel was compact and enough for a small family. The stay was awesome. Special thanks to Hakim (front office staff) and Nurul (house keeping staff) who made sure our stay was very memorable. Their coffee packets were superb. Very helpful staffs. Infact they quickly arranged for our taxi to return to airport. Their wifi is amazing no disruption at all. Overall the stay was very nice. Thank you Hotel 81.

I'm sure people stay at Hotel 81 Star for the low price of $85 per night. In Singapore this is cheap and given the red-light location you don't expect much more than a bed and cleanliness, but it's so much more than this. Of course, the bed's comfortable, the sheets are fresh and the room's cleaned everyday. This is expected. But the layout of the room, the wood panelling and the simple but functional interior design is way better than anywhere else at this price. And it gets better. The staff are friendly, remember your name and are genuine in their intention to help make your visit to Singapore and the stay in their "no-frills" accommodation the best it can be. I travel every month and I think I've stayed here a dozen times. One of the poeople that keeps me coming back is the ever cheerful Hakim. Nothing is too much trouble for this guy. His ready smile and can-do attitude gets me a taxi when I can't find one, greets me at 1am in the morning, arranges laundry and most of all makes some conversation about food, work and when I'm going home. So yes, I checked in the first time for the low price, but the genuine hospitality of the staff keeps me coming back.

Friendly and efficient staff, quick check-in. Clean although quite small room and bathroom, comfortable beds. There is a tea/ coffee making set in the room. Quiet area, though there are many brothels opposite the hotel. A bus stop nearby, approx. 3 minuts on foot. To the nearest MRT station (Aljunied) about 15 minutes walk. The room smelled musty. No wardrobe in the room. Too narrow glass in the shower cabin, so it is difficult to take a shower without flooding the entire floor in the bathroom. Quite high price compared to the hotel standard.

Falling in love with this hotel since 2018. The moment you enter the lobby, you will see a big piece of frame of Mountain Mount Fuji and Sakura blossom. Its reminds me of Japan. Also, at that time, there is a scent of Sakura blossom smell which was so welcoming. Walking along the corridor to my room is so like heaven... i love the nature way it designed. Well, the hotel building is in the middle of the red light district area but that does not deter us from staying there. We don't care! haha... End of 2019 hit covid-19 pandemic. Eventhou the scent smell is no longer there, we would still come back to Work From Hotel (WFH) every week for at least 2 nights. The staff there are all very cheerful and friendly. Bubbly staff, Hakim and the rest too would greet us or any of their customers every time they walk in or out the sliding door. Hakim! You always make us happy after a stressful online virtual meeting. Our housekeeping is Ting Ting. I believed she is new. We've never see her before. Well! Keep up your great job. Our room is clean.

During my recent stay at the hotel, I was genuinely impressed by the exceptional hospitality. A special shout-out to Hakim at the front desk who went above and beyond to ensure our check-in and stay were smooth. Additionally, the impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail of our room can be credited to Ting-Ting from housekeeping. Their excellent service made our experience memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for top-notch hospitality.
