Overall, very satisfied with the hotel. Thanks to the receptionist guy who was very helpful. Only point was that the room keys were deactivated around 11.30 am before we checked out. The check out was 12pm actually. Then we couldnt open the room doors with the keys. Therefore, asked the staff to open us the room doors to take our luggages frm the rooms. A bit shocking why the room keys were deactivated before 12pm. We stayed in two rooms and both rooms keys were same. Didnt understand it. Except for that, i will recommend this hotel.
Surrounding Cleaner than areas in downtown. Room for 3 was perfect for us on the fifth floor. Hawker centre and coffee shops nearby. Enjoyed the mrs. Moghan Roti Prata very much. Walked to try the original katong laksa. Lovely stay.
Came for a night's staycation, didn't have high expectations since it is a budget hotel. I feel that the lounge looked dated but that was fine since the check-in was pretty smooth. The room we booked didn't come with windows. We went in to a smell of bleach (which went away quickly). But it was comforting to know - the room was cleaned. Beds and quilt were also clean and good for sleep. Room and toilet were small and no frills. Basic amenities. Shower came with good pressure warm water. The aircon was noisy though. TV was also old and resolution blurry. Location is good with ample food options. Generally, I think it did well for a budget hotel. Would recommend a room with windows though.
We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed this hotel! We didn't have too high expectations as we were only here 1 night due to an extended layover and needed a place close to airport. The room was spotless, comfortable bed (firm, but I liked it) but the highlight of this hotel is the staff! The you g lady and gentlemen that were on reception on the 14th & 15th of May were exceptional. They were so friendly, helpful and just wonderful and really made our stay that much better! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The Ibis hotel has just been renovated and has all amenities you can ask for in a budget hotel: practical & pretty interior, kettle, fridge, air con and elevator. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location in a very pretty historical district is perfect for a night between flights: the taxi to the airport takes 10minutes max and there are plenty of restaurants and bars around. Within 15-20min wslking you’ll get to a park by the sea with coffeeshops. The only drawback is that the room had no window but aside from that it was perfect!
I've stayed here with my partner for 12 days. Everything is good for the price range. Strong shower, clean room, staffs are helpful and transactions are fast and smooth. The bus station is a stone throw away. Good eats nearby. Very convenient.
We had an awesome 8 nights. Staff is very friendly, accommodting and we felt welcomed. Linens are changed daily. Rooms are tidy. Very accessible to the bus stop. Restaurants are near, mall is walking distance. Even grocery stores. Peaceful place, we had a relaxing stay. We loved it!
Located just outskirts of Katong area, this former Fragrance Budget hotel just got it's new name to Ibis Budget. Room is decent enough if all you wanted is just sleep after a long day in Singapore. It's clean & quiet for those unfussy travelers.
A simple, no-fuss hotel for those on a mid-size budget. Beds were relatively comfy, room was clean and washroom of good size. This hotel has been around for a while but I have only recently stayed here due to it being under Accor Group now. Did not have breakfast so couldn't comment but there are a lot of cafes around the area. If you desire, you can walk 10mins to the Malay Village area or Haig Road food centre for endless choices of local fare. It is a little far from the nearest MRT station so a better choice would be to walk to the main street about 2 mins away and catch the bus to another MRT station - the front desk should be able to advise travellers on this. There seemed to be quite a number of tour groups using this hotel so lobby can get a little noisy at times. Surrounding bars at night tend to be a little sleazy but the area is generally safe - just don't go walking around in slinky clothes or stumbling around intoxicated. As a lady, I had no issue walking back to the hotel at night or even having a smoke outside the hotel at midnight. For those who drive, there are only 2-3 parking lots on a first come first serve basis so depends on your luck whether you get a spot on arrival. I had to temporarily park right at the side of the front door and wait for a spot to be free.…
Ibis budget is good for a fuss free night and affordable stay. Newly renovated with clean fluffy towels, clean room, fully equipped with hair dryer, kettle, fridge. Friendly reception and housekeeping staff. Located in a heritage area.
