I stayed at Hangout Hotel in Malacca @Jonker and wanted to check out there Singapore @Mt Emily Branch whilst in Town. Its not as Modern as the @Jonker Branch but what can you expect from its younger sister(@Mt Emily I think is 5 years old and @jonker barely a year). needless to say it was a delightful stay, the check...

Family of 4 (2 adults and kids 4 & 6). Really clean and well presented accommodation with a nice vibe. Safe, secure and hassle free. Good facilities, pool table, wifi, free web computers, TV, roof terrace and standing pool. Presents itself well and is a great option in the budget category in Singapore. Would stay here again. PS for the...

Hangout is a great budget hotel. Check-in is prompt although 3pm check-in is strictly followed. If you're early and wish to start sightseeing right away, you may deposit your bags at the counter. I just wish they can bring the bags to the rooms upon check-in time so that we don't need to go back at 3pm :/ The room...

Admittedly, Hangout is very basic. However, the beds are comfortable, the room is clean, and the bathroom is pristine. On top of that, it's situated in a good neighborhood with a nice view. The breakfast is nothing to write home about but for what they charge, it's decent. They also have a room with computers with free internet access. The...

This is one of the best hostels that I have ever stayed in! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hostel is pretty conveniently located not far from Orchard Road (though you have to climb a steep flight of stairs to get there :) The hostel itself is simply excellent. I stayed two nights in a 5-person dorm. The...

It was a quick sidetrip with my brother-3N/4D. I was impressed enough of the place to write about it and this is just an excerpt with more elaborations at my blog: "In the end, the stay was fairly alright. I’d recommend though that the hotel use air fresheners or those organic potpourri. Or just shampoo the carpet more as it...

It's definitely no frills but it's a great budget hotel. For about SGD$100p/n for 4 nights - what at the time was AUS$300 I was upgraded to a deluxe corner room with a great bed, nice view and a clean, quiet room. Included breakfast was good to have, nothing spectacular but choice of breads, spreads, some hot options, fruit etc...

Located at a quiet, green park of mount emily in Singapore, this place is just a little bit of heaven in this crowded city. This is a good budget value place to stay with excellent facilities: (fast) internet, good functioning airco (this is especially what you need in S'pore), good breakfast (every day different warm breakfast!), coffe and tea at...

Hotel staff are very very helpful and polite. Attends to your needs. The hotel is very basic. But would do if you are traveling on a budget. Breakfast was basic but good enough. (as i said, its a budget hotel) Comfortable bed and clean sheets. The hot shower should be turned on 15mins before using it. (but thats ok with...

Booked this place for 3 single adults for 3 nights in Singapore. We had 3 separate beds, hard beds, uncomfortable pillows and an overbearing smell of paint. Bfast was usually eggs, toast, and beans or rice or potatoes.... Nothing really worthy of thus many words. Location was decent, staff was extremely friendly but prices so so.... Having the option, I...
