Venue Hotel the Lily is a excellent choice for tourists and travelers who like to stay slightly away from the city centre to savour a taste of the Singaporean lifestyle. The hotel is priced very attractively although it is newly renovated, with most of the little indulgence one may not expect from a hotel in its priced category. All rooms are served with (complimentary) high speed wifi, with in room mini-fridge/safe etc. Just a few doors away, we have bakeries, local delicacies, Vietnamese restaurants, 24hrs convenient stores and supermarkets. The beach (East Coast Park) is just 10 mins by taxi, if the sun and sea could add to the joy of the stay. East Coast Park also offers seafood & other gourmet restaurants and other recreation activities (bicycle, roller blade rentals etc) Thus for a short relaxing holiday or an escape from the cold, Venue Hotel the Lily may just be your perfect hideout.

Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I stayed at this property with my family for 8 days in a suite and I could not have asked for anything more. Property is super clean and the staffs were really helpful and amazing. Location of the hotel was awesome where you will find numerous food joints, pubs and bars. Seven Eleven is conveniently located right next to the hotel if you want to pick something for a quick bite. We had our breakfast and coffee from there on most of the days which was pretty economical. There is also a great hawkers complex near Joo Chiat complex for great food. Make sure you take a walk around the Joo chiat road for its historic buildings and a great atmosphere. Pretty close to most of the key attractions in Singapore and you can buy tickets for these attractions at a lower price at the Hotel, only draw back is that you need to pay in cash. The only issue with the suite rooms is that they don't have windows and might get stuffy sometimes without any fresh air. Wifi was amazing and you can also order food from the Hotel using Grab App. If you are making a reservation through Booking.com then at the time of checkin the hotel will reissue the amount dedcuted to your card which takes anywhere between 3-5 days to show up in your card and you have to pay again to the Hotel directly during check in.

We had a 24 hour Singapore stopover and this was the perfect place to stay. In a lovely part of the city with lots of heritage buildings, great choice of reasonably priced eating places and a cafe where we had the best croissants and pastries outside of Paris! Across the road is a massage therapist so we took advantage of an excellent foot massage before getting back on the place. It's also not too far from the beach and a pleasant walk to get there. Our standard room was very quiet and had everything we needed (fridge, electric jug, hairdryer, good quality shower and towels, comfortable bed and quality bedding, quiet aircon that we could control ourselves) and was spotlessly clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we pass through Singapore. (I am concerned about the post below, which seems to be either fake or they're reviewing the wrong hotel!!)

This is a review of the Standard Double Room. Venue Hotel - The Lily is a small hotel located around the Joo Chiat area in Singapore. The check in process was fast and hotel staff was friendly. Room was neat and tidy when I entered. The room itself is small but it is designed to have all the basic amenities. The wifi speed is ok, it is decent enough to stream videos. There are 3 charging ports in the room for those who need them. The bed was soft and comfortable, blanket was clean. The shower was really good, the shower water can get hot almost instantly as soon as you turn it on which is great. There are also basic amenities included in the room including a safe and a mini fridge. The only tiny nitpicks I have is that the hallway outside the rooms were narrow so there some noise pollution from the hallways and the check out timing being at 11:00. They did mention you can ask for a little more time to check out if you require. But overall, I think it's a nice hotel to stay at and you can get a good room for its price.

Being a regular for few years at Lily, can't be happier that staff kept very good service in meeting customers needs as ever. However, premise has shown obvious wear and tear during the latest visit. Housekeeping was still the weakest link of all, especially when aged finishes surface defects and are harder to maintain. One room during last stay has shower door not fully closeable, making shower inconvenient and unenjoyable. TV channels were unexciting, compared to Classic, also under Venue chain. This may be the minimum hotel management should look into to improve attractiveness of this less well located hotel.

My reason for selecting the property was the tariff they offered. Once I reached the hotel, it was more than my expectations. Location was away from MRT but closer to couple of bus stops.Hence, not faced any difficulty. Most importantly,they allowed me to checkout late, waiving 20 dollers of additional charges. This was really a kind gesture. I loved the location for it's local flavor.If u are looking for pocket friendly, value for money property, this is THE property. Go for it without hesitation.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and I am all praise for it. This is a small 2 star budget hotel but what it lacks in amenities it makes up for in service. The staff is genuinely friendly with a sincere down to earth attitude of service. My hair-dryer did not work and when I reported this, a replacement was brought to my door immediately. When I fell ill and was not able obtain refreshment, Danny offered to go out to buy sandwiches and medicine for me and refused payment from "a valued guest"! It was very thoughtful to get the sandwiches warmed up and to get a variety so I would be sure of having one that I liked. I enjoyed all of the sandwiches!
The room I stayed in was small but comfortable and very clean. There was a good-sized TV, a mini fridge, safe, telephone, slippers, kettle and tea and coffee. The hot water heater in the bathroom produced consistently hot water and the towels were what you would expect of a better class hotel.
2 bus routes ply around the area, but, except for one bus stop almost opposite the hotel, the others were some distance away. There' are many eateries in the area serving Asian food mostly.
I would stay in this hotel in a heartbeat!

Great hotel. Location is superb! Lots of restaurants nearby. Walking distance from bus stop, which brings you to the nearest MRT station, Dhakota. Nearby at this station brings you to the famous Old Airport Road hawker centre.
Although the room was small, but it was clean and comfortable.

I am satisfied with this hotel. The room is small but it has all I need for a short stay. It’s very clean and tidy, the staff are helpful and friendly. I actually booked the wrong hotel, the wrong dates and the wrong room, but everything was flexible and turned out well. I was mostly served by Alvin who let me view two other rooms before I found the right one. What the hotel room lacked in space, its location made up for. It is located in an area with interesting restaurants and shops. Moreover, at both ends of the street are food centres. At Dunman food centre, I had the most delicious vadai (Singapore Vadai). I would recommend this hotel to single travellers especially (because of the room size) but also couples who would be spending time outdoors most of the time and can return to a comfortable bed in the evening. Also suitable for families looking for a price-quality decent place to stay in a interesting area with a local flavour and great atmosphere.

This was a budget hotel in Singapore which provided excellent value for money and service. Location was acceptable in consideration of the value for money, and the area was safe. Staff were outstanding, and even allowed us to stay an extra 6 hours as we had a very late flight. Would definitely stay again

You take the bus for 2-3 stops. If there is no wait time for bus then is within 10 min from bus stop (Main Street- with more bus options) the walk from hotel to the Main Street bus stop is within 15 min.
