We have stays for 6 long days,to be very specific 701 was our room and believe me it was the best deal, special thanks to Miss munya(sorry if I spelled wrong)the lady at the desk service in morning she is just a good soul.
Room:Opt for the window view as many wont be comfortable w/o a window
Breakfast: Limited options but nonveg crowd would love eating chicken and sea fish which is delicious but vege would find a bit difficult but bangon opp you have a south Indian restaurant which is a good option
Location:Ferrar park, lavender at walking distances, Little India is also nearby
For children there is a small garden area for playing
Room service is prompt and very clean.
Kuddos to team J8...
Thanks for making my singapore trip feel like home.

Stayed there for 2 days, was good room was a bit small but for 2 days was okay as we were out all day. Breakfast was average have a la carte then you can take your toast, and tea or coffee. Taxi available on street easily 20 mins to universal studio, 10 mins to merlion, and five mins walk to little India.

During my recent one-night stay at J8 Hotel, I was pleased to find that the rooms were immaculately clean. However, they were quite small and furnished with twin beds. The air conditioning unit was rather loud on high fan speed and did not cool the room effectively. Unfortunately, when attempting to contact reception, I was directed to voicemail multiple times. Upon visiting the front desk, I found the receptionist occupied with her phone while the hotel's main line was ringing. Furthermore, the hotel only provided one room card, which was unusual.

It is also worth noting that the hotel charges an additional fee for rooms with windows. Nonetheless, the hotel's location near several popular tourist attractions makes it an ideal choice for travelers, as these attractions are no more than a 15-minute drive away.

Breakfast was included with the booking and consisted of one dish from the menu accompanied by tea and coffee from a large thermos. Unfortunately, the service at the cafe was subpar, with the staff member displaying rude behavior.

Overall, J8 Hotel is a suitable option for those exploring Singapore for the majority of the day.

Another fantastic 4 nights stay at the J8 thanks to the amazing staff, the great location and the sweet price.

I fully agree with Gow's review below ("J8 a Gem in Singapore", March 2023).

The staff are lovely. Friendly and very helpful.
I stayed only once before, about a year ago, but I was immediately recognized and very welcomed with great smiles as soon as I entered the hotel.

The rooms are not large and quite a few do not have windows. However they are cleverly designed. The room I was in was fitted with multi standards socket outlets. Quite useful :)

The bed is on the hard side which is what I prefer. The shower requires some precaution as it is not separate from the rest of the bathroom. A clever way to save space and promote water savings too :)

The Wifi works great. 15MB download and 20MB upload. Consistently.

The breakfast is served in the "Vietnamese" restaurant which is part of the hotel. It is tasty and the staff always patiently accommodate special requests. There are 4 options to choose from and I usually go for the "Bánh mì", a baguette filled with chicken and some lettuce.

The location is absolutely great being not only close to a couple of MRT stations but also in a picturesque part of the city with so many food and shopping options around. At the same time the hotel is quiet which is a priority too for me ;-)

Price is another good reason to stay in the J8 especially if you are able to book well in advance.

I already have a few trips to Singapore planned for the coming year and I will definitely be staying at the J8 ❤️

They promised parking which then was unavailable when we first arrived. The AC leaked during our first night and we were told to mop it up with towels. They claimed our daughter wasn't entitled to the breakfast that was included in our booking and blamed Booking.com for the misinformation(they then waived the breakfast charge).
They triple chraged us for our stay - the receptionist insisted that we pay upfront when we checked in and charged my husbands credit card twice. They on the morning of our checkout day, they charged my credit card that Booking has on file too.
The staff were utterly unprofessional and useless in trying to sort out the situation. We still don't know if we'll get our money back.

I have stayed in this hotel from 22nd to 26th Feb 2020 and my experience was horrible. The staff is extremely rude, i stayed there for 4 nights but not even once my room was cleaned even after reminding them various times, room size is like match box if you have your luggage's in the room there won't be any space to stand or walk, rooms are super dirty and it stinks. So over all it was a worst experience.

This hotel is filthy. Baby roaches crawling in the room and bathroom, mold on bathroom walls and sink area and hair (not mine) on bed linen. The bath towel that I used on the first day had tobacco smell on it. Location is good, but utterly filthy!

I have stayed at the top floor (7th floor) with open terrace for a night with many bad experiences.

First of all, the aircon is not cold and I have a sweaty night sleep and woke up a few times. Bed is old with squeaking sound.

The wifi is bad with no internet connection. No towels found in room. We were given a tv remote with low batteries.

The only positives are the room is reasonable clean and the view from the open terrace is nice.

This hotel is fine! Rooms are really small, but we knew this in advance. Room was clean, bathroom OK, breakfast was good and tasty. You can choose from a few options, have Orange Juice/coffee/tea. Good WiFi as well.
