room is quite clean & spacious, but since so many people inside, sometimes it smell. bed is quite comfy but too small. shoes and slipper cant used in the room, should be barefoot or with socks. bathroom is available 4 rooms in 2nd floor, quite small but clean. but its on the same room with laundry room, so looks messy. breakfast is standard with toast, cereals, eggs and juice & milk. location is surrounded by pub, bars, resto, must be noisy every night. not too close to MRT station (clarke quay) but still walkable.
the things i dont like is: i already requested for lower bunk bed, but they didnt even say a word (if its not available) just put me on the upper bed, towel should deposit SGD 5, while for room is SGD 20 (for 2 night). check in time is strictly at 3 pm, even i already req for early check in coz my flight landed early morning, but they dont let me in until 3 pm. fyi i arrived at hotel at 02:00 pm

Friendly staff, clean on a busy street but didn't hear the noise from outside. Would recommend you stay here. Close to everything you need in Singapore.
Just be aware of 20 dollar deposit for key card.

We had a private room which was bunk beds. The room was clean but the shared bathrooms aren't great. They need to install ventilation as they are so hot and humid. The shower is over the toilet so you have to constantly wipe the toilet seat dry after other people which isn't very nice.
The positive is that you get free breakfast and the girl at reception was very nice. The owner needs to chill a bit though! He was shouting at the girl on reception in front of us one day quite aggressively and it made us feel very uncomfortable. He also hangs around the kitchen/reception watching your every move which is also a bit uncomfortable. If you're reading this - take a step back and chill. However the location is really good for catching the MRT around the city and its on a street filled with bars and restaurants it's lovely.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was ok to get our heads down as we didn't spend much time in the hostel. Convenient for visiting sights etc.

So when I started writing this review, I actually battled to think of anything positive to say about this hostel. The only positive comment I could come up with was that the common room was modern, clean and tidy.
And now for the negatives...
In my dorm room, I noticed that the duvet covers looked stained and unclean. I later saw that the ‘maid’ didn’t actually wash them before a new guest arrived!
The staff were unhelpful, uninterested and unfriendly.
There was zero privacy at the hostel. I’ve stayed in many hostels and I know to expect limited privacy but this was something else. There were cameras in the dorm rooms - something I’ve never seen before, so you were forced to change in the small bathroom at all times. I specifically requested a ‘female only’ dorm and I’m not sure why I bothered.
The male staff constantly barged into the ‘female only’ room all the times without so much as a knock on the door.
The staff were also inconsiderate...turning on the lights in the dorm either late at night or early morning so it constantly woke you up...as well as there being a ‘night light’ that is constantly on...you’ll need an eye mask! The strictest rules I’ve even seen in a hostel,
no food or drink in the rooms, no shoes, the list goes on.
Extremely limited cooking facilities - only a microwave!
Dodgy wall sockets in the dorm rooms - they broke two of my chargers...and travel adapters are not always cheap!
One small bathroom for 8 beds - a wet room that was always soaking wet and dirty.

I saw my blanked really dirty when I wanted to sleep and then I wanted to asked the receptionist but no one there until morning. So I made a decision to change my blanket to another bed. In the morning I tried to talk to the receptionist but they said they gave me the clean blanket. I showed them some pictures and they didn’t believe it. The point is, they still want to charge me for $40 😂.

Dear Frans, We would like to address some of the issues listed. 1. Blankets If it is a dirty linens, the housekeeper would have spotted it when he change your linens. We also clean your sheets more frequently than other long term guests. 2. Operating hours The contact number of the hostel is stated on the board on the reception table. If you needed help, you could have contacted us. Someone will still be able to assist you even after operating hours. Otherwise, there is an emergency button located outside. After staying with us for almost 2 weeks, it shouldn't be new to you that the reception is closed after 10.15pm. 3. Keycard Before you leave, you told us that you will be leaving in the afternoon. We have yet to receive the keycard that was entrusted to you upon check in. If you can mail it back to us, that will be awesome. Nonetheless, thank you for the feedback. We hope you enjoyed your stay here.

An okay stay but I wouldn’t come back.
Pros: dorm is clean, basic breakfast included, location is ideal.
Cons: There are cameras everywhere in the dorm room and even in the common area of the bathroom. Because of this, the only place you can get changed is the toilet, which is always soaked... Really annoying because your shorts or pants always get wet. Check in time is late (3pm) and no possibility for an earlier check in. One staff member seems to have a sore attitude. For instance, she told a guest they needed to pay to replace towel. Guest requested they attempt to wash it and bill her later if the small spot didn’t come out. Receptionist argued with her and told her “Fine, I’ll pay for it out of MY OWN MONEY for you!” I couldn’t believe the attitude towards a guest who was humiliated in front of everyone eating breakfast. Some of the beds have plastic left on them for hygienic reasons but they are so uncomfortable and so noisy. Not all of them have it (I rented 2 bunks and only one did). Zero atmosphere. The moth balls hanging around smell horrible. The thing that annoyed me most is that on checkout day, the same receptionist came upstairs twice in the span of half an hour to “remind” us to leave. I felt like I was being kicked out before checkout time.

Overall the hostel is clean and the location good with cheap price. It takes 5-10mins walk from the Raffles MRT to the hostel. The area is consider a night life with seafood available and bars for people to hang out. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The cons are the towels are on a rental basis eventhough the website noted free towels for queen size capsule bed. Rental of towels are cheap at SGD7 (deposit refundable - SGD5) however i was wishing the hostel would honor the free towel as per their website eventhough they mention the website is not updated but it didnt happen. The air-cond is centralised and it is kinda hot with the bind close. End up we left the bind open so it is much colder.

We made up a large group of players for a sports tournament. Johnny wasn't fazed by our staggered arrival times and unusual requests, and took it upon himself to help make it as easy for us as possible. He was even up at 6am to give me back my deposit.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the "no adaptor needed" socket was a nice bonus. I was sharing with just one guy and unfortunately he was a snorer, but can't blame Quarters for that. Location is also great.
Thanks Johnny!

Hi all,
I can't say I love to share my bedroom but here in SG the prices are so high that we don't really have the choice.
So I can't say that the place was amazing, I would lie. I do prefer the luxury rooms I get in Phuket for the same price ;) Though I highly appreciated the free breakfast and specially to have peanut butter !
The staff is amazing and always ready to help. They even helped me to make our dinner more romantic by giving us a candle and proper glasses to drink the wine I brought. 5 Stars service! Cheers guyz :)
The location is just perfect, restaurants, convenience stores, MRT,.... everything is at your doorstep.
I'll definetly come back to say Hi. You're also welcome to visit me in Phuket.
