Here at BEAT. Capsule Hostel, we reside over the iconic Singapore River. We love the tranquility in the day, where you can just gaze at the still waters, and pause in this busy Singapore city. At night, the entire Boat Quay/ Clarke Quay vicinity lights up with entertainment from bazaars, to music, to a wide variety of restaurants. Placed in the heart of the city, you are surrounded by Chinatown, Little India, Malay Kampong Glam, and Marina Bay. Enjoy the privacy of your own Capsule, the warmth of our staff (and guests), and take your time to experience the rest of Singapore... all in a BEAT.

The most amazing thing about this hostel, like other reviews said, is the location. You can just admire the beauty of Singapore river from the lobby at level 2, and it gets more beautiful once it's dark. The hostel is easy to reach if you arrive from the airport with the MRT, exit through gate G and then just follow along the footpath with the river on your right, the hostel will be on your left near an Indian restaurant. The reception is nice, she will answer all your questions politely. If you're checking in/ out before 8 AM or after 10 PM, you will be given instructions on how to self check-in/ out through e-mail. I prepared for noises throughout the night from outside, but it turned out to be relatively quiet. The partition wasn't see through as long as you turn off the

My second visit to this place in less than a year. The capsules are very clean, the reception staff are nice. If you need to check-in late (after 22hs I believe) they send you instructions on how to do your self check-in...very helpful! The view from the dining/reception window is very nice during the night with the marina bay and the Singapore Flier.

Location 9/10 for the price, the hostel is situated on the river and a lovely 15 mins walk to the main attractions. Restaurants etc are all around you. Capsule 5/10 curtains are see-through if you have the lights on and very hot like a greenhouse even with the aircon on, however the better of the facility's as the bed is spacious and cosy. Toilet/shower 1/10 if you have showered in a prison I could imagine the quality to be similar, if not worse. They were disgusting and that is putting it nicely. Grimmy, dirty, smelly, hairy, and just overall unacceptable. They have never been cleaned and do not look like the pictures. One time I had to wipe a huge snot drip from the toilet as this was the only cubical available and also the plugs are full up with other people's hair. Is it

This hostel is nice enough, however I would say the pictures are a little deceiving and it’s not quite as nice as it looks. The bathrooms weren’t the best, not enough showers/toilets for the amount of people in the room. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the fact that you are actually showering right next to the toilet and it’s a tiny cubicle. Another downside was the WiFi doesn’t reach the rooms well and as soon as you’re in the capsule didn’t work at all. Apart from that had a decent stay and didn’t spend too much time in the hostel itself.

I booked the wrong dates accidentally and I immediately emailed the management team to change the dates. All they said was their company policy does not allow any changes to the booking dates. I informed them more than a month before my arrival and no action was taken at their side. Even AirBnB has better cancellation policy than this hostel.
