I stayed in this hostel for a couple of nights after all my valuables were stolen from me.. The staff was very helpful with everything I needed in this bad situation. The breakfast was delicious. They had freshly made eggs and fresh fruits and I really liked the locaton not far from the Metro and Bus Terminal. I can fully...

Dear travelers: Just to clear something out (because some of you asked already) This customer got robbed in Valparaiso. Then we help him out to sort things out in Santiago (passport, money wire, etc) Thankfully everything was fine and sorted this out properly Management

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The owner was hospitable, kind, and always available for a chat. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the place was adorable. Best of all was the breakfast included in the price of stay: a delicious omelette with roasted vegetables, fresh fruit, an amazing fresh-squeezed juice, and ample...

We only stayed here for one night in the double room, but really enjoyed our stay! Friendly helpful staff, room was clean and comfy, nice hot showers and amazing tasty breakfast included! Cool area of Santiago too- quieter but with heaps of cafes, bars, restaurants nearby and also 2 metros and a big supermarket! Great value in Santiago ☺️

I spent 5 days at Don Santiago and I can't recommend it more! The breakfast was outstanding with fresh juice and many fruits and vegetables. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well. The smaller size made for a friendly environment where I met many other cool travelers. Awesome place!

This was one of the best hostel I stayed in South America with one of the best breakfast. Cozy hostel smaller size can make a good atmosphere. Friendly Andrea and Goretti make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.

I only stayed one night here but I really enjoyed it because it is small hostel, so it's very easy to meet other nice travelers. The staff is also very friendly. They make you an amazing breakfast which is much more better than most of the breakfasts I had in this area of the world. They also invited me to...

A quiet hostel, located within walking distance from two metro stations (different lines), with very comfortable beds and including a breakfast that other hostels usually charge around 3-5 thousand pesos for

Simply have not had a better breakfast at any other hostel and I doubt that I ever will. Check out the pic. Also, the staff were awesome. I walked to the local fruit and veggie market with Cris and Gore and they shared tons of fascinating stories along the way. Fran was so welcoming when I first arrived, and Andy...

Given that chile is one of the most expensive South American countries to visit, you really get your value for money at don Santiago hostel. It is located close to the metro, serves great breakfast and the staff are always happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend staying here for a few days if you are passing through Santiago Sabrina

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hey fellow travellers! Why staying with us?If you check the reviews, most of them point out our staff as the best. Do you know why? Because they love working at Don Santiago, and that happens when the staff feel secure about what they are 'selling' a We know that staying a hostel is sucha a life experience, we know we have hotel style matresses in dorms and double beds. We do provide the best breakfast in Santiago as follows:Brewed coffee, tea, ginger lemonade.Scrambled eggs varieties: oregano, merken (spice smoked chilli with coriander); and ciboulette.Fresh fruit salad with honey. We are a million miles away from the business-like check-'em-in check-'em-out hostels Staff is fantastically friendly and the house feels like staying in a home with friends where you can relax and play music with the guys there, or just listen to them play.Toilets are cleaned everyday, maybe you will have to wait a bit when the house is full, but usually when people is having breakfast, the rest of people is showering, so it works wellWe don`t push people to buy tours, seriously, Santiago is such a safe city, where you can go anywhere (wineries, beach, Valparaiso) by yourself, and we can get you instructions in order to make it cheaper. However, there are tours available, just ask. =)The house is from 1910, wood floors are creaky, and if you are a light sleeper, we do provide earplugs on request. We are not a party hostel though, please know that. Quiet time starts at 01:00There are no rules in Don Santiago, once again, We do appeal to 'travelers common sense'Welcome to Don Santiago!!!!! , Certificate of Excellence TRIPADVISOR 2012'and remember, what happens in Don Santiago, stays at Don Santiago ... more   less
