I cannot compliment sufficiently, the wonderful job that the management and staff are doing to make the experience at Casa Mito lovely. My husband and I arrived in Santiago with no hotel reservation as I am employed by an airline, and we travel stand-by. I had researched hotels and knew that we only wanted to be in the Bellavista area,...

Ideal location for a short stay in Santiago. 5 minute walk to Bellavista area for restaurants, bars etc. Can do a wine tasting at the hotel but never got involved with this. Situated on main road with a view of San Christobel hill

After reading some negative reviews, we were worried. But it was fine. It's an older boutique hotel on a busy street in a central location. There is a locked entrance to the facility. We were in a room off the back courtyard and it was really quiet. Yes, the room was older and could use a fresh coat of paint,...

...does not remain so. Either inexperienced new management has taken over or it has succumb to the unfortunate and stereotypical Chilean non-method of maintenance. Ceiling fan knocking and creaking at low speed (all night), dangerous at higher speeds. Clocks on every floor that don't work, nicely placed coffee and tea for guests on every floor- with stale sugar, empty thermos...

We stayed at Mito Casa Hotel and it was a lot more than we expected. We ordered our stay directly from the hotels webpage wich at that time was cheaper than booking from hotels. com etc. The hotel itself is located less than a 5 minute walk from the popular Bellavista area. The interior is all fancy and new and...

Built around 1929 thus cute "old" hotel has survived multiple earthquakes intact. It's frontage is unprepossesing on a busy main road, but inside it was quiet and beautifully decorated in Art Deco style. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was self serve , continental style , with fried or scrambled eggs always on offer. The location was...

Oscar and his staff were so helpful and friendly. Being skiers we had extra luggage and early timetables. They had a brown bag breakfast ready for us to take as we headed to Valle Nevado for the day which was early!! Also Oscar went out his way to help us with our transportation within the area. He arranged an outstanding...

A last minute change to our trip resulted in our agent putting us in the Mito Casa. Location is OK but there were homeless people sleeping nearby and graffiti on the next door property which was sad. The hotel is on a very busy multi lane highway so noise is an issue. Big steel entrance doors keep the property secure....
