Bed bug alert: be sure to check the beds for signs of bedbugs. We picked some up in a single room. It truly put a damper on our trip. Worse: the staff did not help us at all and did not seem to give us the time of day.

This hostel was very average.. lucky I only had two nights here. The rooms were very small with no room for bags and no fans/aircon in the middle of summer. The hostel didn't have a great feel to it and I did not enjoy the atmosphere. The staff were not overly helpful either. Although the hostel was in a good...

Not enough bathrooms during my stay. Only one for everybody. Some bathrooms were under maintenance, I hope it is now solved. But very nice place, cosy garden, kind people serving you, confortable and so on.

la chimba is by far one off the best hostels I've stayed at in Latin America. So welcoming, feels like a big family. Not a bad word to say. Clean showers, clean rooms, lovely volunteers, the cleaners are amazing and very friendly.

Very good place to stay, it was comfortable and we had fun. I would make breakfast better. The guys at reception were very gentle and even they were not Chilean they knew the city and explained us what to do.

Really enjoyed my stay at la Chimba! Very helpful staff in reception and nice feeling overall at the hostel. Stayed in a double room and really thought it was worth the money. The hostel arranged a bbq in the evening where we met loads of great people! Although kitchen could go for an upgrade and the breakfast is not very...

La Chimba hostel is located in a great spot in the Bellavista neighborhood. It is easy to navigate to from the airport and has a nearby metro station around 5 minutes walk. It is very close to the San Cristobal monument and the famous Pio Nino street. The hostel itself has a buzz in gate and provided lockers lending to...

I really enjoyed my stay here! I stayed in the biggest dorm and it was very spacious, I like the lockers at the end of each bed, and they have meals and drinks or some other sort of social activity everyday of the week! The bathrooms also stayed clean and the staff is super cool! It's also in a very...
