We ate dinner in the restaurant of this wonderfully atmospheric hotel. The food was good, the views from the terrace were stunning and the waiting staff were really patient and friendly with our two-year old. We'd love to have the opportunity to go back.

I hada late lunch on the terrace restaurant of this hotel the other day. It was my first visit and I wasn't staying at the hotel. The views from the terrace over the port and downtown area of Valparaiso are, of course, fabulous. But there are lots of other places with similar views in the Cerro Concepción area where the... I reserved the William Shakespear room. The website does not mention the the room is beneath the (very thin) restaurant terrace, so there is a constant scraping noise from the restauranteers above moving chairs, tables or just walking. It was impossible to rest, so I requested a refund. The day manager sought approval and agreed to refund - at which... More

I stopped into this hotel like so many others passing by because of the great views over Valparaiso from their terrace. I had a cafe doble and a slice of lemon pie. The coffee was weak and the pie was simply inedible because it was so sweet. The size of the pie portion was enormous which at first glance looked... More

I stopped by at 115pm for lunch. Made a reservation for table the day prior because of it's location and views, but the food took 1 hour to get to the table. The waitress didn't even get my order correctly when the food came. So I didn't want to wait another hour for my food to be corrected so I... More

Is such a beautiful place to have a dinner or even just drink a typical Pisco Sour about $5 dollars or even enjoy a Pinacota de Manjar for $5 dolar also. At night or day is such a great view! I really reccomend it.

It is really a bad hotel. The service is terribly deficient. The bed was dirty and the towel in the bathroom too. There is not fresh coffee for breakfast. The experience was not good. But the place in the Cerro Concepcion, allows the owners to abuse in the service.

I took my wife here for the night for our anniversary. A friend who had stayed here previously recommended it. I booked with out reading the reviews which I never do. After I booked I read the reviews and became nervous that the place would be horrible when I had exactly the opposite experience. The Brighton house is just that... More

What should I start with? I have many things to point out, therefore: 1. The food: fresh, but somehow with an awkward taste. I also found cat hair in one of my plates. I love cats but not in my food ;) 2. There were 2-3 cats at the hotel, they have free access to restaurant. One morning one of... More

They have an iconic balcony that is even shown in the guidebook of Valparaiso, where you can have a breakfast. However, this accommodation lost two points because of the noise from the roof top and you have to ring the door bell to enter the establishment, also to go to have a breakfast in the morning. You don't have a... More
