My wife checked into Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre during the month of June 2012, and spent a total of 5 nights in Quito. The hotel is located in the historic district of the capital. Although the Quito historic district is a tourist area, the neighborhood could use some TLC (eg remove graffitti, a streetscape facelift, etc.) I got the sense...

Enjoyed a stay of several days prior to our Galapagos tour. Comfortable, clean room and an excellent breakfast with a splendid view. After we left, however, my wife discovered she had left all the accessories and a spare memory chip for her camera. Upon our return to the city from the islands, we called the hotel and were told the...

Did I say horrible enough? After traveling 36 hours straight from another South American country, I arrived at the Boutique Hotel Plaza Sucre at 1 AM only to be told there were no rooms available! I was being “walked!” They told me there was a plumbing problem affecting rooms on the 3rd floor. I found out later what the real...

We had an excellent experience at the Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre. We spent a weekend there in early March. Staff were wonderful and could not do enough to help us (including carrying our bags up to the third floor, helping with flight arrangements and return to airport.) All with a smile! Their breakfast room is on the top floor with...

I have just realized that I had neglected to leave my review for this wonderful hotel. I stayed there for 5 nights, in November, 2011. It is located in the historic center of Quito, 2 -3 blocks away from the Presidential Palace. I had a lovely room with real wood furniture, very comfortable bed, TV with English cable channels, very...

We stayed at this hotel for one night before and two nights after our trip to the Galapagos. We thought the hotel was exceptionally good value at about $40 a night. The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of the old city and a short walk to many of the sights, including La Ronda which is...

After writing a glowing review then reading some of the other reviews we checked our money stash and yep...sure enough..$50 was missing. We'd left a note in there that we updated every time we took money out and dated it and sure enough money has certainly been taken. Be warned. Hide your cash stash very well and don't use the...

We arrived a day late due to transport issues. The room we booked was no longer available but we were moved to a 2 bedroom room with 1 queen, 1 double and 1 single bed(Room 201). A bit more than what was needed for a couple but certainly not an issue. The first night it seemed a little noisy but...
