We have stayed here about 10 times over the past 3 years. It is a basic accommodation. It is always clean. It is conveniently on the edge of the Quito's charming centro historico. It is very inexpensive. It is run by a very welcoming family. They serve a DELICIOUS breakfast as well. A few snooty friends from the US have...

Beautifully centered near the Historic Centre of Quito, park out front. The Hostal provides a quiet refuge but lots of action at its door step. The room is clean with a private bathroom and shower. Wifi is free and breakfast is provided for $1. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to other travellers to Quito.

The location of the hostel is very good and within walking distance of the old town & basilica etc but the rooms although clean seemed to be damp, the showers were often quite cold, the wifi only worked half the time, the beds were itchy and uncomfortable and our towels and bedding were never changed. We didn't expect a huge...

The hosts here were FANTASTIC as I (stupidly) left my mobile phone in the communal areas over night, and they had stored it safely for me to collect in the morning. Phew! Located in cute little square. Make sure you take the 300 step up to take in sunset at Cafe Mosaico also in the evening. Best views.

There isn't much to complain about this place. It was pretty clean, the beds were good, the showers were decent (they ranged from hot water to warm water). It has a nice set up and a great location. The hosts are great, they give you good directions for getting around and where to go. We went there because it was...

no complaints about this place. I was Leary because one person gave it a very bad review, but I can not agree. We stayed 3 nights and thourghly enjoyed the place. Friendly helpful staff. Wifi was good, hot water for showers. Clean, bed was comfortable. Naturally the walls are not soundproof but that is to be expected in a Hostal....

We stayed at this hotel upon arrival in Quito. Our room was fine, clean enough, and the owners were very nice. The wifi was patchy and went out for a few hours on one of the nights we were there, leaving me to wander the neighborhood trying to find an internet cafe. The website boasts of a 24 hour reception,...

Great location close to the center, near old town in safe and friendly square. The owner is very helpful, friendly and flexible. Good value for appropriate price. Highly recommended. Free coffee and tea.

First of all, there were fleas in the blankets that were on the bed in my room; and, unfortunately, I brought back a flea or 2 after leaving the hostel. Second, there was rarely if ever hot water in the shower. Third, there was rarely if ever intenet/Wifi connection. Fourth, there was rarely if ever quiet after 6am. And lastly,...

Clean rooms and helpful staff. Price Ok. I stayed there 2 nights at the beginning of my 2 months South American travel and enjoyed the good location: all main sights are easily reached by foot. Can only recommend it.

“All the rooms are bad considering they are connected to the open space where people talk at all hours of the day or night. The reception area also is so noisy that all door-bell buzzes can be heard in the rooms at all hours. Stay elsewhere!!”
