We stayed here after reading all the reviews on hostel world and we were quite disappointed as sadly, there were no 'vibes' at all. Whether this was due to the season or just bad timing with the people there, there was just no atmosphere. The dorms were clean and spacious, there was hot water and decent wifi. Breakfast was decent...

After spending two weeks too many in Bogota Colombia in the wake of being mugged THIS PLACE WAS A TREAT!! It was the first hostel where we had to take our shoes off while entering the living areas. Very well kept! Nice hardwood floors and a pretty decent kitchen to get your chef on. There was a "family dinner" while...

I was planning on staying at Vibes for a night, ended up for almost a week. After a couple bad experiences at the more mainstream backpacker hostels we came here to spend the last night. We had a blast and didn't want to leave. The hostel is located perfectly, right around the corner from all the hotspots in Quito and...

The positives were that the bed was comfortable, room was big and the lockers had power points. Showers were not bad. The wifi was pretty reliable as well. The kitchen was pretty bad, the place was kinda in mid renovation so there was some drilling etc. The staff seemed to change everyday and when I checked in they showed me...

Planned a few days in Quito so booked 4 nights, stayed for 1. Staff mostly don't speak English, the ones that do are genuinely not keen to help and questions about the buses ect had to be forced out of them. Location is good if you love to party, otherwise there are a few expensive, but average restaurants around. The...

Spent one night here when I needed to do a layover in Quito. I essentially wanted a cheap place to crash; that's what I got. The bed was your standard metal bunk bed (read: wobbly) and not particularly large. Not the best sleep I've had, though I have had worse. The hostel was not the cleanest place in the world,...

After reading all the positive reviews I was looking forward to staying here. However, this hostel should be shut down as its under going major renovations at the moment. We were woken up to drilling and hammering at 7am. The noise was surrounding us from every direction. They were renovating the bar area, reception and turning the room next to...

Fun and Friendly staff! This place is ideal for any traveler or backpacker who is on a limited budget. It's a little old but you don't need luxury when you are jumping around so much. I was relieved to find that they have a luggage room when I arrived.

The hostel seemed OK but was a little quiet, with the atmosphere being a bit somber. I put my clothes through the wash and lost one of my favourite t-shirts. While they gave me a few dollars for the lost t-shirt, they still made me pay for the laundry. At this time (330pm) my plans changed and I also requested...

I recently stayed at vibes hostel. The staff were nice a friendly. It was nice enough for the price. Unfortunately my partner got bed bugs which i have now got. As well as being covered in bits from head to toe we now have to pay to wash all our clothes, packs and buy medication for the bites. So in...
