Truly spectacular in every way. The staff are attentive, beautifully appointed lobby and inside garden area with some original art from the once private mansion, rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, wonderful pillows, linens are divine, and the attention to detail in the rooms you just don't find in hotels of even 5 star rating. For example on the...

Casa Gangotena is a beautiful jewel in this beautiful World Heritage Site. We arrived around 1 am and were greeted by staff who had prepared a snack for us upon arrival. The suite is well proportioned. The bathroom big enough for two quite easily, and very modern. The bed is extremely comfortable. The amenities suit the ambiance of the hotel...

I checked in at 3 am on a Sunday night and they did it without a frown. The hotel itself can't be better positioned at overlooking the plaza San Francisco. I personally don't care for Quito that much because of the pollution so I spent most of the time in the hotel getting over my jet lag and to enjoy...

This hotel is beautiful. Fresh flowers are abundant throughout the property. The common areas are lovely and comfortable. The hotel is bright and cheerful and located in the heart of Quito's historic center. No need for taxis... everything is within walking distance. My room was large and bright. The ceiling must have been the originally restored ornate tiles and at...

This beautiful old house, now transformed into a gorgeous boutique hotel, deserves all the high praise it receives. The staff are wonderful. They will bend over backwards to make everything right. The restaurant is outstanding. The breakfast buffet lacks for nothing, and afternoon high tea is over the top. We ate one dinner there too and were not disappointed. The...

This is a beautiful classic hotel in the heart of old Quito. The hotel is beautiful, both inside and out. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable, and large, considering both the age of the building and the location in the heart of the old town. The only complaint was the air conditioning had trouble keeping up. The windows open and...

The hotel is perfectly placed for visiting the old city area, it faces the San Francisco square. The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed but efficient. There is a good restaurant on site & afternoon tea is served in the pleasant lounge area. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the whole ambiance of the hotel is good. We...

In the Top 25 Hotels in the World, so not much else to say - but do have the High Tea! Great location, staff wonderful, plentiful breakfast. Large rooms, and do go to the upper Terrace at night for the local attractions all lit up.

Beautiful luxury hotel facing San Francisco plaza in old town Quito. Everything about this hotel is above par. While expensive, you are getting a great location, beautiful common areas and rooms, excellent bar and restaurant, and top notch service from a friendly and attentive staff.
