The Sol de Quito really depends on what you are looking for. It is not in the central historic area, it is not in the middle of all the restaurants and hotels of la mariscal, but then that is the very thing that makes it...More
The staff was prompt and courteous from the reservation stage to our time there. Good eggs with our breakfast. We will go back. We did find the pillows a little hard and large but other than that great stay.
I have stayed at the hotel several times, they have a very friendly staff, free wifi, great breakfast. The rooms have recently been updated with softer, more comfortable beds and rooms but the hotel is still a bit outdated throughout their bathrooms and rooms, however...More

Hi Michael, as you may know the new airport moved to the surroundings of the capital and now is about 30 minutes driving just to get to Quito city. in your message you mention 7pm next morning I assume is 7:00 am if so you may need to leave the hotel at least at 4:00 am if is an international flight or 5:00 am if is a local flight. We can offer you shuttle transportation for a 50usd fee each way and someone will be waiting for you. Or you may take a taxi for around 30usd from the airport to get to the hotel. Your best bet would be just to get a hotel very close to the airport. We'll love to have you but we understand that tu may want to be closer to the airport. There is a nice hotel called Rincon de Puembo. Please let me know what would you like to do. Thanks for considering our hotel.
